We happened to wander by this Basilica heading to the Naval Museum. We almost didn't try the small side door, and we would have missed a massive, stunning church. It's decorated on every surface, up,,...

A pleasant surprise
We stop in Empire when we travel to France on our roadtrip of 2018 in summer. Empire was the first surprise that gave us Italy, and the church of San Maurizio the jewel of the corona.
