    小諸城の大手門は小諸駅の北側にありました

    　小諸城の大手門は、お城の正門です。小諸駅の北側にありました。この後訪れた懐古園は小諸城址なので、小諸城というのは、今の鉄道の線路をまたいで広がっていたことになりますね。 　この大手門は、1612年、仙石秀久が小諸城を築いた時代の建築で、江戸から大工を招いて建てたそうです。幅がたっぷりしている立派な楼門でした。また、屋根は瓦ぶきなんです。当時としては瓦葺の門は珍しかったので、瓦門と呼ばれたとも伝え...
