juki235Notre Dame de Afrique in Algiers is a magnificent church building with the distinctive features of the European church, its yellow exterior walls and its huge dome, giving it a sacred and solemn charm. It is also a religious shrine in Algiers and must visit.
juki235The port of Algiers and its surrounding areas are very busy commercial places in Algeria. There are a lot of ships going in and out of the port every day, so the commerce of the port here is very developed, and it is worth walking around.
juki235The Monument to the Unknown Soldier in Algiers is an iconic building here. It is a three-leaf tower monument. A memorial tower specially erected to represent the unsung heroes who died during the Algerian Patriotic War and the War of Independence. He is a symbol of the Algerian people, who is not afraid of power and striving for independence, and has important commemorative significance.
ROUAG MOUSSAI happened to visit the kasbah on the wonderful, sunny 1st of January and the place was bustling with activity. I have no idea if it was in any way related to the New Year, but occasionally it was difficult to push through the crowd around street vendors. On the other hand, there were still many narrow passages where I was practically on my own. Yes, many houses are in poor repair and it's a pity little effort (and probably money) is put into restoring it. But just the same, the Casbah is beautiful and enchanting. A must in this beautiful ciy.
