A museum built by the Forest Office to illuminate the history and culture of mountaineering in Korea. There are permanent exhibitions on climbing history, mountain figures, and mountain culture, and various experience classes for children and teenagers are also prepared. Because it is a national museum, it is free and has many attractions compared to its scale. It is near the Sokcho Municipal Museum, so it is good to see it together.

First of all, admission is free! There is plenty of parking lot, and if you go up to the top floor, you can also take pictures with a free telescope overlooking Mt. Seorak. Inside, the history of mountaineering, the mountaineering supplies donated by famous mountaineers or collected in the museum are displayed, and visitors can experience rock climbing.

Children will love it.

Although there is not much content to see on the exhibition, the space to experience is very good, so children like it very much.
