Grandpa Sea is located on the side of Taibai Mountain on the Taipei side of the mountain top, at an altitude of 3590 meters. It is a typical ice bucket lake with a complete preservation of Taibai Mountain, forming in the ancient Quaternary glacier. The lake is as clear as a mirror and blue waves. The lake is suddenly filled with mist, and the clouds are scattered. The folk call this fog "God's tent". There is a white-topped stream by the lake, big like swallows, black-breasted red and brown, white markings on the top of the head, singing "squeaky",

位于太白山自然保护区主峰拔仙台下，海拔三千六百多米，著名的高山冰碛湖，犹如一块变色镜，随着着天气的变化变幻着色彩，忽而隐于浓雾之中，忽而在阳光下熠熠生彩，仿若仙境瑶池，须经艰苦攀登方能到达，到此可有登仙之感。

太白山保护区美景，在拔仙台下面，想到这里没有两天时间很紧，建议安排两天行程，山顶气候变化无常，下面的天气预报仅做参考，去的时候第一天大雪纷飞，夜晚的星空灿烂，第二天白天蓝天白云，非常美，大爷海边有板房住宿，条件一般但是价格也算公道。早上早点起可以去拔仙台看日出。

这一侧看见了面积更大的大爷海。大爷海旁有一户蓝色房屋，是进山以来第一处人迹。再往下走，大爷海湖畔竟然有石屋子，但似乎无人居住。正面看石屋。大爷海近看，湖水非常清澈，可以直接饮用。下山 在大爷海旁的人家吃了一碗面，几天来头一回吃正经的饭（为什么还是面！） 在那户人家，墙上挂满了各种户外俱乐部的旗子，上面有的写着“征服螯太”这样的话语，我很不喜欢这样的话。大自然是无法被征服的。
