The Taoyuan Chinese Furniture Museum

The Chinese Furniture Museum is in the basement of Taoyuan Cultural Bureau. The entrance is next to the service desk on the left of the Cultural Bureau Hall. The museum is free and can take photos. The Museum mainly introduces bamboo and wood furniture since Ming and Qing Dynasties. From wood to hand-made tools, there are words and objects. It is the first furniture museum in Taiwan. In addition to exhibiting a lot of bamboo and wood furniture since Ming and Qing Dynasties, the exhibition also focuses on furniture from Taiwan and Taoyuan Daxi. Among them, the peak work is the work of Mr. Youlihai, a craftsman from Daxi, which is comparable to the works of art. Finally, there is DIY for children to understand the structural characteristics of solid wood furniture which combines protruding tenons and concave mortises.
