Turpan's Kumtag Desert is known as the desert closest to the city. A must-try experience is sandboarding and an off-road vehicle! Price: 300 RMB per person The off-road vehicles were very well-maintained, even newer than the ones I've experienced in Vietnam, Dubai, and Egypt! Sandboarding: The sand was very comfortable, allowing for smooth, unimpeded travel. It was an amazing experience!
