Apartments in Costa Adeje

Great location, 10 minutes walk down to the beach. There are 2 pools, one heated and always sun beds available. Did hear they had a booking system for these but we never had to. Bars, restaurants and a shop on the complex which was useful. The only issue was they had live music on from 4pm every day and it seemed unnecessarily loud. It didn’t bother us too much but can imagine it would be a nightmare if you had a balcony closer to the bars. Apartment was great, balcony overlooking the pool and very well equipped. The staff left a bottle of wine for my partners 30th while we were there which was a nice touch. Would stay again, but would definitely recommend emailing ahead and asking for a room away from the bars.

Last minute booking it didn't disappoint. We had a one bedroom apartment which was spacious, with a safe included in the price, fully equipped kitchen, lots of storage, filter water tap which saved us having to keep buying water and a great size terrace with your own sunbeds, parasol and table and chairs, would have been nice to have a pool view however we as we did not spend a great deal of time in the room it did not spoil our stay. Lovely pool, plenty of comfy sunbeds (no sunbed wars when we were there!), very reasonably priced pool bar, daytime activities including archery and bingo. There was evening entertainment but we never saw this Location is excellent bars, restaurants, supermarket and beach all within a short walk and if you need a cab there is a rank outside the hotel Friendly polite staff, cleaning is every 3 days but not an issue, you can empty your own bin nearby if needed : plan to return in 2025

Lovely self-catering apartment. The staff were amazing and welcoming (we arrived at 2am and receptionist still had a lovely smile for us), the apartment was spotlessly clean with a free safe, air con, dishwasher ,full sized fridge, and a huge balcony . The pool was amazing with plenty of sun beds, the swim up bar was great value, and the slushie cocktails were lovely and refreshing . Will definitely be back

Good location as long as you do not mind the walk down, taxi back up is only around 6/7 euros, plenty of choice as far as restaurants and bars once you are out and about, the adults only bar is great especially Happy Hour and the guys who ran it were very friendly and professional. We would return but only if we were able to book a one bedroomed unit, we had one for the first 7 nights and it was super, however we were then moved to a studio which was absolutely tiny, only one bedside table, not one drawer to put clothes in and no extractor for the bathroom, outdoor space was like a postage stamp, just not good enough.

Honestly was not expecting too much from previous reviews I had read before going but this was worse than expected. It was cheaper than most places and we were going for a social holiday not spending much time in the hotel therefore we went for a cheap one. We had a 1 bedroom apartment and it was more than basic. No handwash, dishwashing facilities such as a cloth! The oven didn’t have any shelves in and there was no oven trays so we couldn’t even use the oven yet we paid for self catering… when I contacted the reception to ask for an oven tray atleast they said they would send someone, I waited an hour then phoned again, got the same response.. nobody ever turned up and we ended up going out to eat 4 hours after I called. We stayed in I- at the bottom near the pool, the noise from the kitchen fan is constant from 6am until evening. Music and chatting didn’t bother us as that’s what you expect on holiday. Cockroaches I’ve never seen so big in my life and I’ve stayed in several areas of Tenerife now, normally they don’t bother me but the fact that the windows and doors had huge gaps to let them in it was almost impossible to keep them out.. We arrived as 3 adults in a 1 bedroom apartment, there was 2 bath towels and 2 hand towels, when asked at reception for another towel we pretty much had to beg for a towel as it was not towel change over day, yet they had only given us 2 to start with! Also overheard another couple complaining of dirty towels and bed sheets. Once the cleaner had been after 2 days she put a ‘clean’ sheet on with a big mark on it, she would have seen this as it is the first thing we noticed right on the top of the bed … if they had provided a cloth and atleast 1 cleaning product we could have saved her a lot of time. There’s no instructions whatsoever where to go, who to contact if needed, where to put bins out ? The whole place is just run like you’re left to get on with it yourself. At first I thought it was fine basic but fine but by the end I couldn’t understand how the place was still open.

The hotel overall - 'done what is says on the tin' and could do with some modernisation as it is a bit out dated but clean more the less. Reception - check-in and out was quick and friendly enough by the two women we spoke to on each occassion. The room - outdated, very standard/basic but very clean. We did experience the odd smell coming from the drains. The shower head sprayed water out the side which caused water to run all over the bathroom floor when in use and the flusher takes several attempts to flush the slightest bit of loo roll. The balcony was spacious enough for two people to chill in the evenings, with a small table and two chairs provided. Bedroom pillows are so soft which proved me difficulty to get a good sleep along with the noise from the bin men/deliveries being made in the early hours of the mornings. Also found that people walking/talking was also a disruption through the night - walls a bit thin. Pool area/Pool bar - Pool area was very strict - lacked atmosphere as no music was allowed to be played out loud. People were told to turn their music off. Always able to get a sun lounger. Pool bar - staff were lovely but found it quite expensive compared to other places I have stayed. The food was average. I would definitely venture out with the hotel for food, especially breakfast. Serving time for snacks was a bit poor as people were still down at the pool around 5pm and snacks stopped at 3pm (I didn't realise and asked for a toastie at 3:06pm and nobody could even provide something so simple considering the cook was still in the kitchen with her head popping out the opening into the bar). Location - walking distance to siam park/siam mall. It is a 20-25min walk down to the fountain in las americas and about the same again to walk into costa adeje. Plenty of restaurants worth trying and reasonably priced - some bars for drinks can be quite pricey in the area.

I’m not going to sugar coat it, when I read the reviews about Playa Olid I was a bit apprehensive at first, but I was so wrong! We were greeted at reception about 3pm with a smile and were in our rooms within 10 minutes. We went straight to the pool and helped ourselves to the snack bar which is open at the main pool 12-5pm The restaurants are open Breakfast: 7.30-10.30 Lunch: 1-3 Dinner 6.30-9.30 The bar is open 12 hours a day and after 11pm you pay for your own drinks (if all inclusive) The Entertainment team…. These people were the highlight of my holiday. Special shoutout to Marta and Elena, who always got me up dancing and had me doing Aqua Dance everyday in the pool at 12.30pm!! Can’t thank them enough, they’re the reason I am looking to go back in the new year! Daytime entertainment ranges from aqua gym, aqua spin, kids & teens club, darts, volleyball and so on Evening entertainment is amazing, especially Tina turner tribute and the Motown singer Pool opens at 10am and closes at 6pm. No fighting for sun beds, plenty of room there! The barmen were lovely and knew our drinks by the end of the week. The only slight downside was the air cons can sometimes be a bit awkward at first but nothing maintenance can’t fix! The cleaners come everyday bar Thursdays and Sundays and maintain a high standard of cleaning! The supermarket next door gives 10% off to Playa Olid guests Definitely the best hotel I’ve been to yet, definitely looking at coming back in the new year thanks to Elena and Marta!

I would not book this place they only get cleaners in once a week which means you can’t get towels unless you go get them yourself. When we arrived in our room the place was broken and dirty and water was leaking from the roof the kettle had mould on it there was a dirty stain on the floor and the tv cable was hanging out the wall, me and my partner would be awake till half 4 in the morning due to the noise and we had a balcony on top of a roof and the maintenance guy woukd walk up and down it and could see right into our room there was no warning of this happening either. We also ran out of towels and toilet roll so I called to get some it was over an hour after ringing 3 times so I had to go to reception myself and go into a cleaners room and grab them myself. People at the pool was too loud and the life guards refused to do anything because they said well there on there holiday too but these groups was talking about women around the pool and making gross comments.
