The primary goal of this workshop is to cultivate a deeper, more intuitive understanding of oil paint and its versatile applications, while maintaining a connection to representational art. Guided by Louise, participants will explore techniques to enhance their individual artistic vision and advance their personal goals in painting. Using still life as the central subject, the session will focus on honing observational skills, particularly in capturing form and color with precision and creativity. 12 places only. About Louise Neiland: In her work, Louise Neiland engages with the challenge of depicting the nebulous and intangible nature of time through the use of still images. She has exhibited in group exhibitions both nationally and internationally, and her work is represented in private and public collections including the OPW / State Art Collection, Rabo Bank, Dvblinia, Microsoft, IADT and Electric Ireland. Neiland studied at Camberwell College of Art and Design, London and the National College of Art and Design, Dublin from 1987 to 1991, and she completed an MA in Fine Art (Painting) at NCAD in 2008. Her elective repertoire, however is Chamber Music. She has collaborated with leading ensembles and musicians such as Felix Ayo, Uto Ughi, Anna Tifu, Massimo Quarta, Dimitry Sitkovetsky, Domenico Nordio, Sonig Thackerian. Anna Serova, Ramon Jaffè, Robert Mc Duffie, Laurence Dutton, Julie Albers. In 2022 Elena together with the violinist David Yonan won the Best Instrumental Collaboration Category of the “LIT Talent Award”. She was a member of the Michelangelo Piano Quartet, which was awarded first prize at the International Chamber Music Competition in Illzach (France), and the prestigious “Premio Michelangelo” chaired by the late Ennio Morricone. Michelangelo Quartet recorded the Complete Brahms Piano Quartet (Casa Bassi) and Schumann’s quartet and quintet with a fortepiano (“…this, surely, is how Schumann would have heard his scores. The Michelangelo is the equal of the finest ensembles in these works and brings, impressive depth to the music.” Classic FM, Best Buy). Elena is a regular guest at “The concerts at the Quirinale” a series of concerts produced by the third channel in partnership with Rai-Quirinale and the Presidency of the Italian Republic broadcast live in many European Countries. She is the co-founder of Storie d’amare e d’amore, a Music and Theatre project which brings together musicians and actresses to give voice to the immortal female characters of the international Literature. Elena makes his home in Rome, where she moved at a young age. She graduated with special honors in piano from the Santa Cecilia Conservatory with Fausto Di Cesare, and in chamber music from the Academy of Santa Cecilia with Riccardo Brengola. She also studied with Vincenzo Vitale in Naples. Elena is an official coach of Rome Chamber Music Festival taking stage in the most prestigious historical building, music venues, and theatres of Rome. She regularly leads international solo piano and chamber music workshops. The class requires Active Parent Involvment, the programme will be delivered by a qualified Instructor. Bikes: The trainer will have bikes availible,or you can bring your own bike. Please Note: Trainers do not provide adapted or specialised bikes. Cost: €20 for six weeks you can chosses session 1 or 2 There are only 10 spots availible on each session.
