Join us for an epic fitness challenge at Origin Fitness. Our previous 3 sims have sold out, so don't delay in securing your spot. Get ready to push your limits and test your strength and endurance in our Hyrox simulation event. This is a full race simulation with competition weights and distance. If you've never tried Hyrox before, the race is set out as follows: 1km run, 1000m skierg, 1km run, 50m sled push, 1km run, 50m sled pull, 1km run, 80m broadjump burpee, 1km run, 1000m row, 1km run, 200m farmers carry, 1km run, 100m sandbag lunges, 1km run, 100 wall balls The run will be a 1km loop outdoors and the exercise stations will be a mix of indoors and outdoors (most are indoors). We will be running waves every 20 minutes and have open categories as follows: Singles Men, Singles Women, Doubles Men, Doubles Women, Mixed Doubles Preworkout, recovery drinks, snacks & goody bags will be provided. ___________________________________ Since it formed in March 2024, Dublin choir Ceol Aoine has performed with Welsh superstar Katherine Jenkins and the talented Jablokov family in Vladimir's Viennese Christmas at the 3Arena, and with acclaimed soprano Sharon Lyons and Kerry Scotia Ensemble in Between Worlds at The Helix. It was also the resident choir for Christmas at Guinness in Guinness Storehouse in December 2024. The choir is putting on a very special concert, Thank You for the Music, in the Church of the Holy Spirit, Greenhills, on June 7th,with proceeds going to St Paul's Secondary School, which has done so much for the community. Ceol Aoine and the orchestra will be joined on the night by four special guests - Sharon Lyons - who is also the choir's music director - violin sensation Vladimir Jablokov, Eurovision winner Linda Martin and stage star Rebecca Storm. The MC for the evening is journalist and past pupil of St Paul's, Andrea Smith, who is also Ceol Aoine's manager. Welcome to the TU Dublin Conservatoire Summer School for Young Pianists!Join us at TU Dublin, East Quad for our Summer School for Young Pianists, now in its 4th year!! Our exciting four-day programme, designed to bring pianists aged 12-18 together in a stimulating and friendly environment. Participants will take part in a series of performance workshops and other relevant musical activities designed to enhance their confidence in, and enjoyment of, playing the piano. When: Tuesday 17th June - Friday 20th June 2025, 10:00 hrs - 14:00 hrs each dayWhere: TU Dublin Conservatoire, East Quad, Grangegorman Lower, Dublin 7 D07XFF2Performance Workshop: working in groups, the students will be encouraged to play and teachers will provide feedback and facilitate discussion among the group. Elements of technique, style, presentation and communication in performance will be addressed in a relaxed environment with an emphasis on developing critical listening skills. Core Skills: each day there will be a session which takes a particular aspect of piano playing and offers practical insights. Topics include Reading Skills, Accompaniment and Keyboard Harmony. Specialist Talks: Topics will range from Practice Skills, Preparing for Performance, and a general overview on music at 3rd-level. Introduction to The Organ: This is a session to introduce participants to the organ – everyone will have a chance to explore the sounds and touch and experience playing the so-called King of Instruments.These sessions will be interactive.
