Pensado como un masterclass para personas con interés en la arquitectura, sin ningún estudio en el campo, en este evento estaré enseñándote cómo entender edificios alrededor del mundo a través de principios básicos de diseño y composición, y explicando los diversos estilos arquitectónicos a través de la historia. Esto nos ayudará a entender mejor lo que nos rodea aquí en Puerto Rico. Estaré enseñándole vocabulario y terminología, para explicarles estrategias de composición para un diseño básico. Hablaremos brevemente sobre la arquitectura de la prehistoria, la Egipcia, Griega, Romana, Bizantina, Paleocristiana y Románica, para salivar ante las maravillas de la arquitectura Gótica, Renacentista, Manierista, Barroca, Rococó y Ceoclásica. Su investigación se centra en la relación entre la identidad queer, las tecnologías digitales y el entorno construido a través de la creación de maquetas, escritura performativa, dibujo y eventos. Fue Editor-en-Jefe de la revista informa, Editor-en-Jefe de la revista LOBBY de The Bartlett School of Architecture, Editor de Arquitectura en Glass magazine, y co-editor del libro Queer Sites in Global Context: Technologies, Spaces, and Otherness (Routledge, 2020). Su próximo libro, Cüirtopia: Cuentos puertorriqueños de espacios queer, será publicado en 2025 y está siendo financiado por la Fundación Puertorriqueña de las Humanidades. Junto con Yolanda Arroyo-Pizarro, está co-escribiendo Divinidades, un libro sobre representaciones afro-queer de divinidades y sus espacios de congregación, un proyecto financiado por la Mellon Foundation.
