Time Magazine's "The Cuddliest Hero In Asia" will be in Bangkok for almost two months as part of the "100% Doraemon & Friends Tour" at Iconsiam's Attraction Hall from May 1 to June 22. Self-dubbed as the world's biggest Doraemon exhibition, this Doraemon fest consists of two parts. Zone 1 will be at Iconsiam's Attraction Hall on the sixth floor and will feature a manga art exhibition, life-size Doreamon figures standing short at 129.3cm with iconic scenes from the manga version across the 2,000m² exhibition space.

During the "full moon" period when the moon is full, backpackers and electronic music fans from all over the world come to Koh Phangan, which is famous for the full moon party, to hold a party. This party is called the Full Moon Party. The tradition is to paint your body with fluorescent paint and dance under the full moon. You can paint your body like an artist to attract others.

This year’s theme cleverly combines the purity of nature with light art and digital design, transforming the misty hot springs into “The Magic of Spa Night: Onsen@Sankamphaeng – The Light of Nature”. Ten immersive installations reinterpret Chiang Mai’s landscape, culture and geothermal energy through vibrant lighting, fluid motion and richly layered sound effects. In addition to the light installations, the event also offers a wealth of interactive activities. In the Health and Wellness Zone, visitors can explore traditional Thai wisdom through herbal compress workshops and An Tai Community’s spa products, and even experience a unique “Chicken Coop Spa.” The American Hospital offers free basic health services such as blood pressure and weight checks. Every evening, four rounds of contemporary cultural performances accompany the musical fountains. Royal music is also played to the rhythm of the fountains. The Retro Funfair area invites visitors to enjoy nostalgic fun, including classic carnival rides and gamessuch as a carousel, a Ferris wheel, a ring toss game and traditional archery. Special exhibition areas trace the history of the San Kamphaeng Hot Springs, giving visitors a deeper understanding of this unique geothermal site.

Presented within a terrain of hoarded objects amassed over decades in the artist's house, the work transforms these personal remnants into an archaeological site, where material memory collides with digital reconfiguration.

MAIIAM Contemporary Art Museum is pleased to present “The Unspoken Dialogue,” a solo retrospective exhibition tracing the artistic evolution of Wanlop Hansunthai (b. 1978, Nakhon Ratchasima, Thailand). With a profound sensitivity to the intricate bond between humanity and nature, the Thai contemporary artist’s work delves into the essence of human nature itself, inviting contemplation on our place within the ever-changing world around us. Born and raised in the agricultural countryside of Nakhon Ratchasima, Hansunthai was immersed in rural life from an early age. First working as a volunteer for an environmental foundation and later as a land surveyor, he traversed vast terrains, where the quiet yet powerful dialogue between human existence and the natural world unfolded before his eyes, while the underlying undercurrents of social movements ran alongside. These deep connections between people, the physical places they inhabit, and the cultural practices they follow have profoundly informed the trajectory of his artistic inquiry. “The Unspoken Dialogue” explores the evolving contexts of human activity and its repercussions on the environment, through a diverse array of mediums, including installation, sculpture, mixed-media painting, photography, and moving image. Some of the pieces are drawn from the museum's permanent collection, others are curated from Hansunthai’s past exhibitions, most notably “Against the Wall” (2021) at Numthong Art Space; “THE PRESENCE OF SILENCE” (2022) at Gallery Seescape; and “HAUS” (2023) and “Survival Sphere” (2024) at Head High Second Floor, Chiang Mai, Thailand. Guided by a minimalist sensibility grounded in naturalism, Hansunthai’s voice emerges softly yet profoundly, distilling personal contemplations into powerful narratives. His works engage with themes ranging from the rippling emergence of cultural structures, to the fluid dynamics between humans and their environment, and the turbulent convergence of individual perspectives and collective realities through history. Materializing locally sourced natural materials as mediums for his exploration, his practice is firmly anchored in the landscapes that fuel his vision. Amidst an era that rushes ever forward — like the relentless torrent of water — “The Unspoken Dialogue” beckons the audience to pause, retreat within, reflect upon, and listen to the silent conversations. In this stillness, we seek the delicate equilibrium between living beings and nature, all while exploring our place within a context ever-changing, shaped by the shifting currents of time and external forces.

The Jim Thompson Art Center, in collaboration with the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre, co-organises an international exhibition, The Shattered Worlds: Micro Narratives from the Ho Chi Minh Trail to the Great Steppe, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the James H.W. Thompson Foundation. The foundation is named after Jim Thompson, an American architect who worked in Thailand with the US Army at the end of World War II. After his military service, he settled in Bangkok, became passionate about revitalising the Thai silk industry, and left the Jim Thompson House Museum as part of his legacy.

The exhibition name "Paradise Lost" comes from the Renaissance painter Hieronymus Bosch. Bosch is famous for his bizarre and fantastical painting style. The world he painted is full of metaphors and symbols, like an absurd and charming paradise. Those strange life forms reconstructed from animals, plants and architectural fragments are both disturbing and exude a surreal attraction. He broke the rules of nature, pushed his imagination to the extreme, and created new life forms that transcend reality.
