Shanghai visa free transit
Before travelling to Shanghai, it’s important to understand the visa requirements. There are two cases: needing a visa or not. If you qualify for visa-free transit, you can stay for a limited time. Otherwise, you must get a Tourist Visa before your trip. For layovers, if you meet the conditions for the 24-Hour or 240-Hour Visa-free Transit, no visa is needed. Just make sure to get a Temporary Entry Permit. If not, you need a Transit Visa before you arrive.
