As ever, Premier Inn delivered. Got a really good price for the night. Only 6-7 minutes walk to Hayes & Harlington station, so easy to get the first Elizabeth Line train to Heathrow for my flight. Easier and cheaper than being at the airport. Really friendly member of staff on duty helped me when I couldn’t self check-in. The room was clean, warm and quiet. Just what I needed and wanted.

Review of the Rosemay Hotel, London – 10/10 By Matthew Huxley Forrest As a writer of fiction, non-fiction, screenplays, series, and documentaries—and someone named Huxley after Aldous himself, a friend and counterpart to George Orwell—it was nothing short of synchronicity to find myself staying in Orwell’s very own room. The Rosemay Hotel is not just a boutique escape—it is a living, breathing act of reverence. From the moment I arrived, I felt immersed in detail, not decoration. The chandelier reflected perfectly in the mosaic beneath it. Real plants framed like art. The Orwell Library by reception offered a nod to legacy, not a shrine. To sleep in Orwell’s former room, as Matthew ”Huxley” Forrest, was to experience a collision of timelines—where two philosophical lineages whispered across the decades. There was no fanfare, no museum velvet rope—just an unspoken truth carried through the wood, the light, and the quiet. The family behind this space deserve enormous credit. Their design is masterful. Their spirit is gracious. The son—a sharp, soulful thinker—invited me into their world with the warmth of an old friend. The mother, a genius of flow and form, brings an invisible coherence to every corridor. The Yorkshire roast they recommended might be the best I’ve had—and I say that as someone with Yorkshire blood. Staying here was not a hotel experience. It was a chapter in a longer book. And I don’t say that lightly. For those with ”eyes to see”, this is no ordinary accommodation. It is a place where synchronicity meets hospitality, and where thinkers—past and present—might just find their next idea between the walls. This hotel doesn’t need to shout. It whispers, wisely.

The first time I stayed at the inn of the Huatang Hall, the first feeling of entering Nanxuan seemed to have entered the tall threshold of the ancient deep house courtyard, the threshold of bright copper, the old golden door lock with a copper key with a long tassel. It seems that the door moment of time opens, and you step into the courtyard of a large dynasty. It’s just that there is no coldness in the deep house, but the garden is full of green flowers. Lijiang life starts from here. The inn’s friends are not like waiters. It’s like your travel companion. They are intimately calling you, kindly like family. They seem to use this as their home. My little butler, Xiao Du, is as straightforward as a boy, and the tricycle picks up the luggage. The old city lost the way to go home and help us make the journey. It is very good! Thank you, dear, don’t hesitate to say goodbye, I hope to come to Lijiang next time to find Xiao Du.

I’ve stayed here a few times, best hotel by Heathrow in my opinion. Comfy beds ( actually had to stop myself from taking the pillow cases as they are so soft and silky) good food and a lovely place to stay before a 13 hour flight. There are cheaper hotels near Heathrow but for the sake of 10-20 pounds it’s 100% worth paying a little bit extra. I also used top cashback when booking so for me it was no more expensive than staying at a premier inn

I don't think I would stay here again unless the price was right and there weren't other properties around Heathrow at a decent price. The key reason is that the property is in need of a refurb. The wear and tear is visible, the furniture is all chipped etc. Apart from that, the bed was actually comfortable and the bedding was great so soft. The breakfast was standard and the staff was efficient.

The staff was invaluable and friendly. The rooms are spacious and clean. The open plan area is inviting to lounge around and have a drink or bite to eat. The sauna and steam room were great for unwinding after a long trip, and the food was reasonably priced and good quality. The location is not hard to get to, but a long walk from Hayes and Harlington station should you get the Elizabeth line. You would need a taxi or bus to access the hotel.

I stayed at the Best Western Ariel for one night before an early morning flight from Heathrow, and it was a solid choice for convenience. The location is great — only a few minutes from Terminals 2 and 3, and there's a shuttle bus that runs regularly. Check-in was smooth and the staff were friendly and helpful, even with my late arrival. The room was compact but clean, with everything I needed for a short stay — comfy bed, decent shower, and a kettle with tea and coffee. It’s not a luxury hotel by any means, but it served its purpose well. The soundproofing was surprisingly good considering the proximity to the airport — I barely heard any planes. Only downside was the breakfast — it felt a bit basic for the price. Also, the decor is a bit dated, but again, for a one-night airport stopover, it’s totally fine. Would stay again if I need to be close to Heathrow!

Good rooms, nice walk-in showers, obviously noisy due to nearby airport! We found the Skybar good - nice food and very good service. Used a taxi from the airport to get there (£17) and the local bus in the morning to get back (£1.75). Would stay again.

Borrowed the car to find the homestay near the airport, in the quiet street behind the bath road, two floors, basically can not hear the sound of the aircraft, the bathroom is shared, I do not know if there is a room with an ensuite. For self-check-in, I didn't receive the check-in email. I went to the address and contacted the service phone directly. After confirming the name, I sent the whatapp to give me the password. The house is decorated in a Nordic style and is simple. The room I got has an open kitchen. There is also a public area downstairs with dining table, sofa, microwave and washing machine. Two cars can be parked at the door of the house, on a first-come, first-served basis. There are also parking outside the street. At 8 o'clock in the morning, two people came to clean. At 9 o'clock, I came to ask when I checked out, because my room was the last room she needed to clean, so I later rested in the public area downstairs. Leave at 11 o'clock, of course, I can also give up the room at 11 o'clock. There seemed to be a lot of people coming to live at night, but they all left early in the morning. A transition is still possible for one night.
