First the good: everyone was super helpful and accommodating, especially the ladies at breakfast. The made to order omelettes and pancakes were really good and the lady making them was so friendly and eager to please. The happy hour was also nice and the bar tender seemed to be a really good guy and was very efficient. The main desk staff were pleasant as well, no problems there. Here’s why I am giving 3 stars: The shower and shower curtain were not clean looking. The toilet bowl was the same way. I think it maybe just needs updated but it still left me with a gungy feel. Actually the whole Bathroom in general felt gross. Same with carpet. But here is the main reason why I would never come back: the water in the pool was so disgusting that I can’t even. There was no smell of chlorine or chemicals and the water was green and cloudy. Like real cloudy. So I thought it must be a saltwater pool so I swam but was still grossed out. The next day I asked the front desk if it was a saltwater pool which would explain the cloudiness and she said no it was chlorine. Girl, that pool hadn’t seen chlorine since like 1985. Ughhhhhhhh. So grossed out to be swimming in essentially dirty bath water. It was a busy pool. really hope the front desk clerk was wrong and if I find out it was a saltwater pool I will amend my review. But if this is correct, people clean up your pool!!!! So if you stay here, expect a great breakfast but stay out of the pool and don’t expect it to be a shiny and updated room because it is not. Or at least our room wasn’t. Yuck.

The hotel is new and very nice, however the sound travels and doesn’t seem well-insulated-like maybe minimal! We could hear toilets flushing down pipes behind our wall. The room was nice, bed comfortable and sitting area just ok because we had to put a towel under door to stop the whistling. The workout room was awesome-maybe the best part! Lots of equipment and has a wall of glass to look out. Breakfast was standard hotel fare and was just ok. Area isn’t the greatest as we were informed by hotel staff-we were told to drive to restaurant behind hotel instead of walking. We felt safe though.

The parking lot is large, open-air and free. The room is large, but the decoration is rather old. The overall service is good. It is located on the outskirts of the city. There are many restaurants nearby and it is safe.
The Albuquerque International Sunport (Airport) is right down the street from our Albuquerque hotel and free airport shuttle service is offered daily.
Pets are allowed at this airport property and guests are treated to a free full hot breakfast daily. The buffet spread includes piping hot waffles, eggs, sausage, endless sweet pastries and fruits, hot and cold cereals, yogurt, chilled juices and 100% Arabica coffee.
The Kirtland Air Force Base is also nearby, as is Cutter Aviation and the University of New Mexico. Even when guests are traveling on business there are many attractions to enjoy during down time. The Rio Grande Zoo and Bio Park Albuquerque, Sandia Peak Aerial Tramway, and Balloon Fiesta Albuquerque are just a few options. The Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta is a favorite treat for families.
Our Albuquerque hotel is close to all major hospitals, the Pit Arena, Old Town and downtown. Business travelers in town with Sandia National Labs and the Presbyterian Hospital enjoy the convenience of having everything so close including access to those red eye flights. The Cancer Center, Greyhound Bus Station, UNM Lobo Club and Pit basketball are all just a short drive away.
Fantastic Mexican food is nearby, and our Albuquerque hotel is just minutes from three casinos. Just got back from a trip to New Mexico that took us to Albuquerque for one night. So glad I booked this hotel and would highly recommend it! Traveling with my Dad, the suite at this hotel was a great (and more affordable) alternative to booking two rooms. There was a door between the main bedroom and a ”living” area with a pullout sofa, so we each had our own space with our own TVs and separate bathrooms. I took the bedroom which I found to be clean and comfortable. Interaction with the front desk staff was especially pleasant. They were genuinely friendly and helpful. Did not try the breakfast because one of my favorite breakfast restaurants, Village Inn, was right next door. Overall, a really enjoyable stay at an exceptional value!

I really had a restful night and accomplished what I came to New Mexico for. Staff were friendly and helpful. Jessica checked me out and she has excellent customer service. The staff member that checked me in was also absolutely helpful specially cause my phone kept cutting off while he gave me instructions for the shuttle.

GGuest UserThe staff were professional and friendly here.
We booked a standard with a king-sized bed.The room at this branch - Albuquerque East did not a funky smell and was clean & had international plugs which was nice. The front desk and everyone was helpful. The breakfast food and staff were all helpful and friendly. Bonus: Our room had a really nice view of the moutains as well.
Had a totally different experience at Holiday Inn Houston East-Channelview. The staff were not friendly and were not helpful either (save for the Bengali lady who was probably the front desk manager). The room had a weird smell. The hotel food at the restaurant was so salty. The breakfast was ok and location was ok. That was only the plus for Houston East Channelview branch.
GGuest UserI really appreciated the staff , real problem solvers and genuinely nice people. One even helped me find a less expensive place to stay to fit my budget. Complimentary coffee ( varied options) , water dispenser in lobby, and a fantastic very large tv in the bedroom were some draw cards. I could use my Netflix membership easily . I didn’t get the included breakfast as I booked through a third party so explore booking direct . The breakfast sounded good:) . It certainly offers a far nicer ambience than the less expensive place I relocated to . Their Nice carefully picked staff make a big difference. They should all be complimented ! :)
GGuest UserWe booked a KING room, paid for it and received confirmation. Only after checking in and going to our room did we find out it was 2 double beds. When my husband went to switch rooms, one person at the desk said the kings were all booked and the other person at the desk said there was a remodel and there were not any King beds. I don't know which is true. Clearly they were not interested in helping us at all and since we had already unloaded all of our luggage we stayed there anyway. BEWARE that what you book may not be what you get and at the facility and that was not explained anywhere.
GGuest UserBella and Sonya made our trip extra special. We went out for the Balloon Fiesta. Folks at the front desk did everything they could to make sure we had a view of the balloons. If you can't see the balloons from your room go to one of the large windows at the end of the corridor near the rooms in the 20's. Try to get one of the rooms that are painted by a local artist.
AAecoThe staff at the counter had a good attitude. There was no shower curtain in the bathroom when I checked in. The equipment was replaced after notification. The equipment was a bit old. There were vagrant activities near the hotel. I was worried about the house, but it was still safe.
GGuest UserI thought the location was great. Downtown is relatively slow moving but it seems create easy access to the rest of the city. The rooms are relatively basic I got to experience the ones with an updated bathroom and the ones without. The gym is very lackluster and the pool is even more so. Staff is hit or miss. Some people were kind and attentive, others were not. There’s definitely construction going on so there are the sounds of that happening throughout the hotel. Other than that there’s not much more to tell. Nothing that really stands out in a negative or positive way.
OOlivia LozaThe place is located close to the Convention Center, 5 min. Drive
The room was clean when we got there
The guys at the help desk were very nice and always willing to help.
The ”breakfast” offer very few granola bars, fewer apples, some yogurts and coffee, only regular sugar. No sweetener of any kind, the juice machine was not working the 4 days we stayed there.
Cleaning the room. They require that the customer request the cleaning of the room. .In writing in a post it, and signed it,! then the guy at the help desk sign it too.
WWander38503583474Driving in we observed a lot of street people wandering around the perimeter of the hotel. Many would keep driving at that sight but we didn't. Our stay was just fine and the price was fair compared to the overpriced hotel and motel chains nowadays. It has a large parking lot that was secure. The rooms are large and very quiet. One elevator that is pretty slow. Breakfast is mediocre at best but the waffles are pretty good. Good stay for the price.
GGuest UserThe food was grab and go and being allergic to cinnamon and berries breakfast was, an un satisfying piece of fruit and coffee. Not sure why they haven’t changed the breakfast back to the waffles. The front desk staff was nice and friendly and the towels were extremely soft, fluffy and was almost completely un-scented. The pool area was poorly lit and it looked like a good setup for a murder scene. The hot tub only had one jet working but at least the water was hot. I was shocked they had a sauna that actually worked well. The bed frame had blood on it and the mattress cover was dirty, But because the floor didn’t have carpet, the floor was well cleaned.
