The girls at reception made it smooth sailing from start to finish. Rooms were lovely. Will absolutely be recommending to everyone. Would like to thank Neve especially for her amazing service and attention to detail with helping me during my stay!

We had the most fabulous day at my son and new daughter-in-law's wedding on 25/4/25. Many guests told me it was the best wedding venue they had been at (a lot of us are in our 60s) and the best wedding food. Everything was so well organised and huge credit to the RAD Group for keeping the beautiful gardens immaculate. The Garden Lounge and its terrace are brilliant a addition. Staying over after at a wedding means you don't spend much time in your room but ours, in the new extension, was lovely, especially the balcony looking out over the river. It's great that accessibility has been improved too but one small gripe - we had two guests in wheelchairs who weren't able to make it down into the gardens for a photograph of everyone. I can see there isn't an easy fix for this but perhaps it's something to look at for the future. I think that's the only small criticism on a day that would be otherwise hard to better.

Despite ongoing refurbishment the staff were very attentive and efficient throughout the hotel. The river view from our bedroom was exceptional. Dinner was excellent with generous portions. The staff were local and knowledgeable and always ready to give advice if asked The scenery ,situation and history of the hotel make it one of the most pleasant hotel stays possible. It is a credit to Scotland.
