Mercure Ayr Hotel
"The rooms are showing their age but are clean and comfortable. The food was good and staff friendly and efficient. Location is excellent."
Western House Hotel
"Rooms were clean and adequate. Staff attentive and friendly. However, there was a Wedding on the same day and when we arrived for our evening dinner, we didn't get our starters until 8.45pm when our table was booked for 6.30. Although, to be fair to the staff, we were 25minutes late. We had an 20mth old boy with us, who sat very patiently waiting for a pizza. This took 1hr 45mins to be brought out. We were then told that the Chef was having a meltdown in the kitchen.Cant fault the waiting staff, but if you want to starve to death or eat at midnight then this is the place to go."
Eglinton Guest House
"Overall positive experience which improved from a shaky start as unable to initially check in on arrival and enjoyed a relaxing stay, excellent value for money and well cooked breakfast"
Burnside Guest House
"The Burnside is a welcoming guest house with very clean, well appointment rooms. The host, Paul, is friendly and accommodating, and it was a pleasure to chat with him. My room had a separate bathroom right next door on the top floor, which wasn't a problem. The shower is excellent. The family room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. I stayed for two nights and chose to have breakfast. The available selection was good and cooked breakfast was very tasty. The location of the guest house is ideal for being close to town and the beach. There is permit parking outside, and I was given a free permit for the duration of my stay. I would certainly recommend this property for your stay in Ayr."
Lochinver Guesthouse
"From the lovely entrance garden to the thoughtful details in the room, a perfect stay. Sinclair makes the very best porridge - his granny’s recipe! A wonderful stay with wonderful hosts."
Travelodge Ayr
"I always stay in Travelodge Ayr when in the local area. The location is outside Ayr which suits me as if you get a room which faces Prestwick airport the scenery is magnificent. The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. The rooms are always spotlessly clean and stocked with tea and coffee facilities. I always get a good night sleep here and wake up relaxed and fresh. Given that there is a dual carriageway quite close to the hotel the rooms are remarkably quiet."
The Kylestrome
"This was the first 'Smart' hotel (no receptionist) we have come across and it was easy getting in. We were upgraded to a suite which was excellent as we don't get upgraded at all. The room was huge, the bathroom was huge (with a spa tub), the bed was big & very comfortable. Parking was easy at the back of the Hotel. The Hotel had a restaurant attached which was reasonably priced with good food. Overall a great experience...Would certainly stay here again.."
Premier Inn Ayr A77/Racecourse
"Easy check in and parking, room was standard premier inn - clean with everything you need. Couldn’t see the race course! Too hot for me in the night but opened the window, bathroom and shower spacious."
Miller House Courtyard
"A lovely place to stay which is well positioned for the town, beach and surrounding area. The cottage of which there are three, was exceptionally clean, well presented and modern. There was ample private parking. The owners were lovely people and very welcoming and happy to help in anyway they could. Highly recommended and we would certainly stay there again."

Kilkerran Guest House
"Avoid this place at all cost, the worst dirty grubby dysfunctional place I have ever stayed in, it was a nightmare how dirty this place is, also Margaret the owner was very very drunk, I was watching television in the front room at around 8.00pm Margaret entered and was extremely drunk and demanded that I turned the television off and went to bed. I checked out the next morning and I would never step foot in this place again it really is horrible and it beggars belief that this place isn't closed down."
The Townhouse
Savoy 5
"A good hotel in the center of Ayr. The renovation is quite recent, the rooms are not very large, but they’re fine for one or two nights. The breakfast is tasty, and the staff are polite."

Barns Serviced Accommodation
"Arrived quite early in the day and was worried that we had a few hours to wait for check in, but we met someone there who said it would be ready in 5 mins. We parked in the front, there's permit parking along the road. The flat we were in is really well arranged. A large double bed (made of two singles) each with a pull out divan that we used for our kids. Everything is in one room, a space has been built for a shower room, toilet and sink, a bench seat in the window and a table for a kettle, coffee etc. There's even a very small mini fridge underneath. I was a bit worried about the idea of a communal kitchen and dining space, but it's really spacious and well kitted out with cutlery, plates, pans, kettle, toaster and fridge. I don't think there were many other residents when we stayed, so we never encountered anybody there. Overall, a really nice place to stay if you ever visit Ayr. "
Daviot Guest House
"Booked last minute to stay over as attending Streetrave festival which was being held literally a stones through from the doorstep on Ayr Low green for the 4th consecutive year, managed to get an early bag drop off and entry to room and allow us to enjoy our day without having to worry about our luggage. Room (Rm 5) was perfect with lovely en suite ,tea/coffee facilities and a comfy bed and awoke to a stunning view across the Clyde to the Isle of Arran. Breakfast was served in the dining room with a lovely cooked full Scottish breakfast.Finished our stay off with a lovely walk along promenade and spotlessly clean beach which is again minutes from Daviot House . Would Highly recommend to singles, couples or anybody looking for a warm welcoming break. Have stayed previously in other B&Bs / Premier Inn's within Ayr but this was the best yet. See you in May2027"
