Mercure Ayr Hotel

📍 Dalblair Rd, Ayr
★★★ 7.2 (108 reviews)

"The rooms are showing their age but are clean and comfortable. The food was good and staff friendly and efficient. Location is excellent."

Western House Hotel

Western House Hotel

📍 Craigie Rd, Ayr
★★★★ 9.0 (103 reviews)

"Rooms were clean and adequate. Staff attentive and friendly. However, there was a Wedding on the same day and when we arrived for our evening dinner, we didn't get our starters until 8.45pm when our table was booked for 6.30. Although, to be fair to the staff, we were 25minutes late. We had an 20mth old boy with us, who sat very patiently waiting for a pizza. This took 1hr 45mins to be brought out. We were then told that the Chef was having a meltdown in the kitchen.Cant fault the waiting staff, but if you want to starve to death or eat at midnight then this is the place to go."

Eglinton Guest House

Eglinton Guest House

📍 23 Eglinton Terrace, Ayr
★★ 8.6 (95 reviews)

"Was down for the Airshow yesterday and stayed overnight. Although we were due to check-in at 2pm, the host Julia allowed us to do it earlier meaning we could go and enjoy the show. She also emailed a few days before explaining how the parking permit would work on the day of the event, which was great and stress free. Perfect location, 5min walk to the beach, 5min walk to the main street with bars/restaurants. The room was fine, nice and clean and we had a great night's sleep. Scottish breakfast was lovely. Overall great experience, Julia the host was very friendly and welcoming. Will definetly be booking back up for next year 😄"

Travelodge Ayr

Travelodge Ayr

📍 1 Highfield Dr, Ayr
★★★ 8.1 (42 reviews)

"Long overdue we revisited Ayr and this Travelodge a place we return a couple of times a year to stay due to the excellent standard and service you receive from the staff . On this occasion we missed Fraser sadly ,and Helen, but was welcomed by Robert on arrival and met the lovely Nicola on our stay. The hotel is clean and seems well maintained but that is not surprising due to the experienced and caring staff . We visit Scotland often and stay at Travelodge and while ALL have been very good ,the one in Ayr stands out above them all ."

The Kylestrome

The Kylestrome

📍 11 Miller Rd, Ayr

"My son and I drove up to Ayr to visit one of his school friends during the Easter holidays. The decor of the room was nice. The only issue we had with the room that that the heating system was blowing out cold air. Luckily it wasn’t too cold that night. We went for breakfast in the morning down stairs in the restaurant and it was very nice. Lovely decor and service was very friendly."

Burnside Guest House ★★★★
"When we arrived i discovered that our bathroom wasn't en-suite! "private bathroom" means across the landing which you have a key to. So be careful when booking. The room was clean/ nice decor. We left the "please service our room" on our door handle...but it wasn't done. We got back from a trip late after 10pm and had to use damp cold towels....not great and tea cups still dirty etc. The cooked breakfast was lovely and tasty but there was only cereal 1st .....no pastries/fruit yoghurts etc. Which really is to be expected nowadays."

Lochinver Guesthouse ★★★
"Excellent in every way. Lots of attention to detail in furnishings, room facilities (tea, coffee, hair washing, hand cream), breakfast (plenty of variety and all cooked to order), room decorations (lovely wall hangings, ceramics). Very welcoming and friendly with very pleasant cheerful and helpful staff. Easy walk to the railway station, a little bit further to the bus station but still easily manageable on flat ground."

Travelodge Ayr ★★★
"I always stay in Travelodge Ayr when in the local area. The location is outside Ayr which suits me as if you get a room which faces Prestwick airport the scenery is magnificent. The staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable about the local area. The rooms are always spotlessly clean and stocked with tea and coffee facilities. I always get a good night sleep here and wake up relaxed and fresh. Given that there is a dual carriageway quite close to the hotel the rooms are remarkably quiet."

The Kylestrome ★★★★
"This was the first 'Smart' hotel (no receptionist) we have come across and it was easy getting in. We were upgraded to a suite which was excellent as we don't get upgraded at all. The room was huge, the bathroom was huge (with a spa tub), the bed was big & very comfortable. Parking was easy at the back of the Hotel. The Hotel had a restaurant attached which was reasonably priced with good food. Overall a great experience...Would certainly stay here again.."

Premier Inn Ayr A77/Racecourse ★★★
"Had a really pleasant stay at Premier Inn A77. Check-in was smooth and professional — I especially appreciated that the receptionist didn’t loudly announce my room number and instead simply pointed it out discreetly, which was a really nice touch. Service at the bar was great and the room itself was clean, tidy and had plenty of space. Dinner in the restaurant was nice too. I do want to give a special mention to Andrea, who is such a credit to Premier Inn. From the moment I walked in she was smiling, welcoming and genuinely lovely. She served me at the bar and again in the restaurant afterwards, and her personality really stood out. Friendly, warm and full of character — she made the whole experience even better."

Miller House Courtyard ★★★★
"A lovely place to stay which is well positioned for the town, beach and surrounding area. The cottage of which there are three, was exceptionally clean, well presented and modern. There was ample private parking. The owners were lovely people and very welcoming and happy to help in anyway they could. Highly recommended and we would certainly stay there again."
