Tulloch Castle Hotel ‘A Bespoke Hotel’ ★★★

📍 Tulloch Castle Dr, Ross-Shire, Dingwall

"Our stay was lovely. We liked the novel idea of staying in someplace that is technically a castle. The room was nice and clean and the bathroom was spacious and very clean. They didn't offer the info to us when we arrived, but we ended up walking ourselves around the hotel and found the reception desk person giving another couple a tour of the hotel and telling them the history -- I'd have been disappointed to have missed this, but I'm glad we got the info regardless that it wasn't offered to us. Had dinner and drinks in the Green Lady Lounge which was nice and had good food."

Inverness Youth Hostel
8.7 (81 reviews)

Inverness Youth Hostel ★★★★

📍 Victoria Dr, Inverness

"Oh, such a great place with a great service, lovely host, little bit far from the center, and breakfast not so good. But overall, that’s definitely a good hostel to stay for a few nights."

Tuckers Inn

Tuckers Inn ★★★

📍 11 Saltburn Rd, Invergordon

Travelodge Inverness Fairways
8.5 (70 reviews)

Travelodge Inverness Fairways ★★★

📍 Fairways Business Park, Castle Heather, Slackbuie Ave, Inverness

"I love Travelodges; basic, comfortable, clean, dog friendly, no frills but good value. We stayed in three different Travelodges in one week, and this was the best of the three. We were in a nice quiet annexe with lovely dog walking area behind next to the golf course. There's an Asda in easy walking distance and a pub which I would only recommend if you like industrial beer and children. The lady at reception was particularly charming and helpful; we had a minor issue with our basin plug which she quickly remedied, and she gave our dog a Bonio biscuit."

The Royal Highland Hotel
8.4 (109 reviews)

The Royal Highland Hotel ★★★

📍 18 Station Square, Academy St, Inverness

"Very small room with impossibly small shower but comfortable beds and nice chairs too."

Black Isle Hostel
8.3 (55 reviews)

Black Isle Hostel ★★

📍 47-49, 47 Academy St, Inverness

"The location is perfect, just a 2-minute walk from the bus terminal. When I first checked in, I told the reception about the inconvenience of my roommate listening to loud music on the speaker, and they quickly changed my room, and the new room was very nice. If you are coming to Inverness by Flixbus, I highly recommend staying at this hostel."

Tulloch Castle Hotel ‘A Bespoke Hotel’ ★★★
"Tulloch Castle is the perfect hotel if you dream of staying in a Scottish castle. No elevator, but a majestic staircase, very attentive staff who carry your suitcases upstairs, and an excellent restaurant (the hunt meal is absolutely perfect). A pleasant bar for a pre-meal whisky. The rooms are large with period furnishings. Location close to the distillery, Inverness, and Loch Ness"

Inverness Youth Hostel ★★★★
"This is a form type hostel that is a fair walk up a hill from the train station. It is really dated but the bed was comfortable enough. It needs updating as it has a 90’s college dormitory feel to it."

The Royal Highland Hotel ★★★
"Not a particularly warm welcome. My room was fairly spacious for a single, with a good double bed which was clean & comfortable. The bathroom was spotless and shower excellent . Loved the heated towel rail.  It needs to be made clear that when eating in the dining room the bill is to be paid before leaving the dining room (and not assumed that it is added to the room number and paid on checking out. … as in other hotels)  my room was at the back of the building , and I was woken up at 4.50 am by the recycling vehicle."
