Al Thuraya Hotel

Nov./Dez.22 we spent 4 nights in this hotel and were very satisfied. The room had some patina but the technology worked perfectly and the staff was friendly and accommodating. The food was served friendly and was tasty. Breakfast and dinner buffet.

The hotel is very good. It is a 4 star at local terminals so do not expect a 4 star equivalent in France. Pros: Clean and well-equipped bathroom with a hair dryer and small accessories (toothbrush, comb, shower gel, shampoo and even a disposable razor). The bedding is very comfortable, the sheets and towels are very clean and white. There is WiFi per room so it works very well. Very opaque curtains. The staff is welcoming and at our service. We asked for hangers as there was only one when we arrived and they brought them to the room. There is one bottle of water per person which is replaced daily if used. There is also tea. Cons: there is an air conditioning but it is noisy in operation and very cool. It's hard to turn it down without turning it off completely. The closet is very large but you can't use the drawers because the sliding door blocks them (it's badly mounted). There are a few cracks on the walls but nothing major. The restaurant is not exceptional but it is good. The downside is if there are not many of you in the hotel because the buffet will not be very diversified from one day to the next and the choice of dishes is limited. The area does not offer many shops but there is a large supermarket 8 minutes away on foot (with the possibility of going to Orange or Zain to retrieve a SIM card)

Erstes Hotel einer 10-tägigen Rundreise. Etwas außerhalb der City gelegen, was abendliche Aktivitäten einschränkt; es sei denn man benutzt TAXI. Das Haus ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen; im Sanitärbereich wäre eine zeitnahe Sanierung angebracht. Das Zimmer ( 2 Räume) ausgesprochen groß. 2 TV- aber kein deutschsprachiges Programm.. Freundliches Personal. Frühstück und Diner in Buffett-Form war ok. Ales ausreichend in Qualität und Quantität. Leider funktionierte des kostenfreie Internet nicht immer. Keine gemütliche Lobby, die zum verweilen einlädt .
