"This is a great budget hotel suite, fantastic location and a massive room with fridge TV and air conditioning including tea and coffee making facilities. The staff were friendly and at a very reasonable price. The hotel suite deserves a 5* rating because of the location which is close to all the amenities however the bathroom room was of poor standard and a lot of insects were flying around especially in the bathroom. The drains needed sorting out as on one night the smell was very strong at about 1am in the morning. This hotel claims to be wheelchair friendly but unfortunately it's only wheelchair friendly if you are not travelling alone. I phoned the hotel on two occasions before arriving to inquire about facilities for wheelchair users and was told I can enter the hotel via a ramp used for luggage but unfortunately the ramp was very steep although they did offer to help me when needed. I also wasn't informed that the dining room was not accessible although there was a lift to the bedroom. They were kind enough to bring the breakfast to my room although it was tasteless. There was a ladies long hair on the bedsheet and the cleaning of the room could be improved. I do hope the management will take my advice and publish the correct information regarding facilities for wheelchair users especially for those who are traveling on their own like myself."

"One of the top hostels I have stayed at. Everyone was incredibly lovely and went out of their way to make our stay really nice, particularly Firas. They are very helpful about organising day trips and transport to other places in Jordan. The hostel is walking distance from the main sites in Amman yet on a quiet street away from the hustle and bustle, which was nice. The terrace was a lovely place to unwind and meet other travellers in the evening. Overall, Carob Hostel is a wonderful place to stay in Amman, especially if you're looking for a friendly atmosphere and helpful staff. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting the city. We loved it so much that we made sure to come back to Carob for the last night of our trip!"

THE ABDALI BOULEVARD HOTEL by IHG

"Unfortunately, our stay was very disappointing. The first room was not clean, and we found a large cockroach in the bathroom, which was completely unacceptable. The staff moved us to another room, and we appreciate that effort. However, the second room had a strong cigarette smoke smell, making it uncomfortable to stay in. The only positive part of our experience was the breakfast, which was delicious and offered a good variety of food. Considering this hotel is located in Abdali Boulevard, where you would expect a much higher standard of service and cleanliness, the overall experience was far below expectations. The hotel is not clean, the rooms need much better maintenance, and the price is absolutely not justified by the quality of the stay. It is significantly overpriced for what it offers. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again or recommend it to others."

The young man at the door who helps with parking is very kind and his manner was excellent with us and our children. We felt incredibly welcomed due to his fantastic greeting, his smile, joking with the kids, playing with them, and giving them drinks every time we entered the hotel. He even put a sunshade on our car without us asking – thank you! The room was clean and smelled lovely. The breakfast was good, but it could use more variety. The staff working in the breakfast area were very helpful and cheerful, and the young man preparing food in the kitchen always had a smile. Also, the gentleman supervising the pool did an excellent job looking after the children. Thank you all for your wonderful hospitality and exceptional welcome. "I had an issue with the in-room refrigerator not working, and I had medications that needed to be stored at the reception and retrieved upon request. Moreover, some staff members, especially Ahmed, were moody and very impolite. After I filed a complaint with the management, the exemplary employee Jihan, with her excellent manners and professionalism, saved the day by providing us with a working refrigerator in the room. Also, whenever food was brought in, we had to sign for it every time without any published policy or explanation. The staff deserves intensive training in professional customer service. I will repeat the experience with their respectable hotel chain and because of Jihan's excellent service."
