AAaron CedricThis hotel gives the guest a warm and personal touch. The best part of the hotel is that the owners are so friendly, treating the guests like family. On the first night I asked for a hot water bottle (热水袋) because I prefer to sleep with that rather than use the AC heating, and the ”mom” of the hotel went out of her way to find me one. On the last day when I was leaving early in the morning before the official breakfast time, she also made sure to give me a prepared breakfast so that I wouldn't be hungry on my day's journey. By the way, the normal breakfast of noodles/mixian is very tasty and nourishing with high quality ingredients. Anyways, the family that runs this hotel really want to make sure you have a comfortable stay, so they are always there to greet you and answer any questions and help you with whatever you need. Even when I asked for clues about where to find batik (蜡染) artists, they found me the phone number of batik artist in a nearby village. They are so eager to help guests squeeze the most out of all of Guizhou's wonders! In my case, as a foreigner and someone who doesn't speak Chinese too well, I found them very patient and helpful.
The rooms of the hotel are really elegant... simple, aesthetically pleasing design. The amenities are all comfortable: the bed mattress was a perfect balance of firm and soft, the shower had high pressure and hot water, etc. The wifi was strong and stable. I should point out that some of the hotel rooms only have a squat toilet, so if you need a seated toilet you should probably contact the hotel in advance to make sure that they have such a room for you before booking.
I should also point out the special location of this hotel. If you, like me, do not have a car and rely on didi or public transportation, then you should know that this hotel is quite a way into the countryside. In fact, on the road to the hotel, the taxi driver asked me, ”Why would you stay in such a remote hotel when there are good hotels in downtown Anshun?” Well, one of the reasons is because I do prefer personal hotels rather than corporate hotels. But also because my primary goal for my stay in Anshun was to see the old garrison villages (屯堡) in the area, not to see other sites like the famous waterfalls. If your goal is to see the old villages, then I think this is the perfect hotel for you. For one reason, one of the original garrison villages is just 5 minutes walk from the hotel. It's little-visited by tourists and so you'll have the whole place to yourself and get really great photographs. That village (called BenZhai [本寨]) is of great historical importance and is very photogenic, and it's so neat to live so close to it. There's another even bigger and more commercialized (and absolutely beautiful) garrison village, also within walking distance (15-20 minutes by walking), called YunShanTun (云山屯). You're also not too far from the most famous villages, namely JiuZhou and Tianlong. Those are at least an hour by walking, so you'll want to get a car. I found it to be nearly impossible to get a Didi driver to accept such rides in this countryside area, but the good news is that the hotel manager found a friendly guy from the village to drive me to those villages and also later to the airport, for the same prices that Didi predicted it would charge. If you do have your own car, then I don't think you have to worry about anything, as this villages in near the highway and thus you can readily access any of the sites of interest in Anshun from this hotel.
Overall, if you are looking for a hotel with warm and human experiences that is near to the places of great historical interest, this is the right hotel for you!

AAnthony PeterThe room is spacious and clean. The amenities are sufficient. Only gripe is the air con is off for the whole building. Although we were given a fan, the room remained hot and stuffy. It had been very hot days for the period we stayed. The room got the whole day sun. So when we returned, without the air con, the fan was not enough to cool the room down sufficiently. Hence we had to mark a point down for the facilities grading. We understand their reason for not having the air con on. The best part of the stay ( hotel) is the staff. They were so courteous, very helpful, always with a smile. Their services were excellent. Can’t fault them. We highly recommend this hotel without any qualms.

On the second night, we drove to Yueshan. After checking out, we drove back to downtown Guiyang to return the car. First of all, the scenery of the hotel is invincible, the decoration and furnishings are also very comfortable, and the hotel's meals are also good. You don't have to worry about not having meals that the children can eat when you bring your children. The only thing left was to be in a daze. It was so comfortable, and the photos were also very good. The hotel gave us a travel photo shoot as a gift. The photographer was very patient and helped guide us to pose. I booked a twin room with cloud shadow·peripheral mountain view, and the room was very warm. The smart facilities in the whole house are convenient to use, and you can control the lights and curtains without getting up at night. The projection function allows me and my peers to sit in bed and watch movies at night when I am tired. Independent washing machine is more practical, can wash the clothes at any time, do not worry about the accumulation of odor.
Hotel location is good, according to the navigation is easy to find, just 480 meters southeast of Huangguoshu Police Station on Yingbin Avenue in Zhenning. Travel is convenient, whether it is to go to the scenic spot or take a taxi.
Hotel service is also worth mentioning, the staff is friendly, the check-in is fast and smooth, and also enthusiastically introduces us to the scenic route and local specialties, which makes people feel very intimate. This hotel is really the most satisfactory resort hotel I have ever stayed in. I didn't expect that I could take photos in the hotel for a whole day after I moved in. I was so satisfied that I was reluctant to check out the next day and wanted to continue staying haha... The hotel prepared a travel photography service for us, so that we can enjoy the beautiful scenery in front of us while taking photos... It's so comfortable, and the hotel's Laise travel photography is so good at taking photos, so that I, who usually don't take photos, don't feel stage fright when standing in front of the camera. I recommend everyone to bring their families with you if you have the opportunity.

GGuest UserThe inn I found temporarily during the Qingming Festival is located in Yunshan Village, which is very convenient. The owner and his family are very hospitable and they organize concerts in the evening, which is very pleasant. Most of the shops in the village are still under renovation. The place is not big and relatively quiet. You can go directly to Yunjiu Mountain to visit Yunjiu Temple next to it. At this time, you can overlook the rapeseed fields of Yunfeng Tunbu, which is very beautiful. The only thing is that you can't drive to the top of the mountain. You need to walk a mountain road to get in, but it's not far. Overall, it's good. I will come again next time if I have the chance.

EEatPrayTravelWe stayed at the hotel for 3 nights. We chose the hotel based on good reviews from past guests and its proximity to the minibus station from Anshun and the shuttle bus to the waterfall park.
However, we were surprised that hot water is only available from 1930 - 2230! And even when conforming to their time frame, we had to call each time to inform them that no hot water was coming. A staff member would then show up on our floor to turn on the hot water. Secondly, our room was downgraded from top floor to the lowest floor, and the reason being it was low season and they only have that one floor in operation. Last but not least, no housekeeping was performed during our 3 day stay - trash was not cleared, toilet paper and water were not replenished until we called and requested it. The hotel seemed to be functioning with very minimum staff in attendance. The front desk lady who checked us in was very efficient in replying to our numerous messages and sorting out the problem.
One positive comment: basic breakfast offered was good. The soup noodle was tasty.
