For the most part the hotel is nice enough, especially for the price. Location is about 10 mins walk from a train station, which is one stop away from Antwerp Central. The staff at check in are friendly and professional. The big cons for us were these two situations; 1) When we got to our room and started settling down, I spotted underwear (previous occupants') which had found its way under one of the furniture in the room. It turned out to be clean but we informed reception on our way out into the city and they quickly apologised and had someone sent to our room to clear that out. - Cleaners could do a better job giving one last check when cleaning rooms between occupants, though I do understand that the days we were there was when the hotel was fully booked. But still. 2) That night, around 11.30pm when we were in our room with the window shut, we started hearing people shouting like hooligans from outside on the street -- so we shouted at them from our room o keep quiet as it was late and shut the window again. Then we started hearing these guys (4 or 5 of them) shout at us to go down and fight them (?) and asking us what our room number was (??). We also saw them trying to count the floors and windows. Obviously we didn't tell them, but we informed reception. About an hour later, there was VERY loud banging on our door and shouting for us to come out, once again we called reception and after a while the shouts stopped. We didn't feel very safe even to go out to the smoking area, so we called reception for some kind of help or assurance (and later on went down to talk to the person at reception at the time (the night reception, named Wim) to which we were told that; - Ppl shouting at us from the street below for our room number to go down to fight, & the people banging on our door to come out and fight was *apparently* not the same ppl. - Ppl banging on our door, was apparently a drunkard banging on everyone's door, and may not even have been a customer of theirs (which is extremely unlikely). - That we shouldn't have shouted back at them to keep quiet, because apparently it was fine to be shouting on the street directly outside the hotel up till 2am. The entire time he didn't apologise for the disturbance or reassure us even once that we would be safe - only said that they could help to call the police if something happened. -- Basically the night reception was really bad, and I was honestly worried for our safety that first night. Wasn't great.

Hotel National Antwerp

Warm welcome. Nice clean & modern reception / rooms / bar. Bedrooms adequate size, clean, crisp white linen on comfortable beds. Smallish, but brand new shower room. Good quality 'pod system' coffee machine. Nice quality free toiletries. Not a lot of space for sitting / chilling and the bar shut at 8, but not a major issue as places to eat and drink til midnight within 50 yards, yet still quiet.. Three stars and better than the ( rubbish ) four star we left in Brussels. Would recommend this hotel
YAYS Antwerp Opera

2 rooms connected with a door was a great way to have a group of people of 5 together at all times! Both kitchens had everything you ever needed to make yourself a perfect meal. Oven/Micro, fridge, dishwasher, capsule coffee maker. Fully loaded with tools and dishes! The beds were terrific! Fluffy and smooth. The bathrooms were great, the showers had an overhead faucet and a handheld one. The pressure was perfect. The receptionists were well prepared and very pleasant, and we got all the info for a perfect stay. Only downside with having two rooms was that we couldn't figure out how to make the door between the two rooms open. So we used some clever engineering to solve this issue. We never asked about this issue, because we fixed it with a doorstopper of our own. The price for 3 night stay was very well perfect! Will definitely come back again.
Top Amory Hotel by Hyllit Antwerp

This is a nice hotel with comfortable modern and clean rooms. Some of the service was less than ideal - they took full payment from my card the morning before I arrived but the card I used for the reservation was not the card I wanted to pay with so we had to go through a long process of refunding one booking and making another. There is no bar and the restaurant doesn’t open in the evenings. Unfortunately local eateries are not great (or cheap).. Personally I didn’t like the area - up by the metro station looked very scruffy and there were dozens and dozens of bikes and scooters careering everywhere in the pedestrianised area - surely one day someone will be badly hurt. .Parking underground cost €20 but is secure, but when I arrived I was given the wrong address for the car park and consequently spent over 20 mins driving around in circles. Next time I will more than likely stay somewhere else.
Small Luxury Hotel de Witte Lelie
4.6/516 Reviews
We were in Antwerp for a mother and daughter trip. De Witte Lelie is a charming hotel in a beautiful central location in Antwerpen. When we checked in my daughter could choose a room from the ones available: it was her birthday. The staff is professional, polite, kind, friendly and charming. There was always a smile from Nem for us when we left the hotel in the morning and a smile from William when we came back in the evening. We would have stayed a fourth night (last minute) but, unfortunately, the hotel was fully booked. The last night we found a lovely birthday cake upon our return at the hotel. It was such a kind and thoughtful surprise! The rooms are stunning, all with a different design. The hotel is clean, the room service impeccable. There is attention for details at all levels. We can’t wait to be back here next time!

Holiday Inn Express Antwerp - City Centre
4.4/530 Reviews
This hotel is conveniently located, not too far from the train station. Most of the attractions were within walking distance from the hotel. Check in was smooth, and I was given the option of whether I wanted housekeeping services during my stay. I opted out, and was given tokens which can be exchanged for drinks. The lady who checked me in was detailed in explaining to me what to expect during my stay. When I got up to my room I was slightly disappointed, because the room was not quite ready for occupancy. There were sticky stains on the bedside shelves, stains which were easily removed. The shampoo and body foam bottles in the bathroom were not filled and one could see they were half-empty. Aside from that, everything else worked and was to my satisfaction. One thing to note about breakfast though. Do get there early as it fills up very quickly after 8.30am. I was amazed at how it went from just a few tables to a full restaurant in a matter of minutes.
