During Tomorrowland, hotels can skyrocket to over 3000 a night, but this one is still considered expensive even in the off-season, which suggests decent quality… Another plus for this hotel is that the rooms are relatively larger. However, despite being renovated, the overall feel is still a bit dated."

"After a fine stay at the sister hotel August, we had high expectations for Hotel Julien, located in the center of Antwerp. Unfortunately, our stay quickly turned into a disappointment. Upon arrival, we were given a tour without being asked, something we hadn't requested at all. We would have preferred to go straight to our room to settle in comfortably. Additionally, the elevator turned out to be out of order, which was quite a challenge for us with heavy suitcases. The staff had to carry the luggage to the third floor themselves, which was absolutely impossible for them – or for us, in that case. They clearly didn't have enough staff to keep everything running smoothly. The breakfast was okay, but the staff there was clearly overworked as well. There was only one employee for the entire breakfast room, resulting in long wait times and a chaotic atmosphere. It was simply too busy for one person to keep up with everything, which severely impacted the overall comfort of the breakfast. All in all, the stay at Hotel Julien was not what we had hoped for. The location is fine, but the service and facilities certainly left something to be desired. I would recommend thinking carefully before booking here, especially if you value a smooth and comfortable experience."

"The Sapphire House Antwerp, Autograph Collection, boasts an excellent location. It's a 10-15 minute walk from the Central Station and just a 3-minute stroll to the city center's pedestrian and luxury shopping streets, making it incredibly convenient for shopping and getting around. The hotel is a converted old building, and I've always loved its design. This was my 'nth' stay here, but this time, the experience fell a little short. The main issue was a sewage smell emanating from the bathroom. I suspect it's due to unresolved plumbing issues in the old building. I occasionally noticed a similar odor in the elevator area, which was a bit off-putting. Aside from that, the rest of the room was well-maintained, clean, and the bedding was comfortable. If it's your first time in Antwerp, I would still recommend it for its location and design, but be prepared for potential odor issues that can sometimes come with older buildings. I hope the hotel addresses this problem in the future."

"What seemed to be a promising stay was a real disapointment, as the location bluntly cancelled the booking the day before. They blaimed it on a "double booking", although we had been communicating with them in the last month. Also, they took no responsability and just said it was "not their fault". Did not even have the smarts to offer some kind of compensation to show goodwill or help find a new place to stay. I would not trust this venue! A real shame."

"Very aestheic common area, large spaces and extra chairs in the room, clean bedding and toilet, people are friendly, really enjoyed the free water and coffee! Unfortunately when checking in, I wasn’t told anything about how to use the locker in my room nor information on the breakfast. Plus it’s a 20-min walk to the nearest train station Berchem, and even more far away to Antwerp centraal station. But overall, great value of money!"
