Begeti Bay Hotel

Begeti Bay Hotel is one of the best holiday hotels I have stayed at for some time. The staff were all warm and friendly. We arrived around 1015pm and were offered food which had been set aside from the dinner that evening. Also when we checked out we had a few hours until our transfer picked us up, the receptionist told us to carry on using the facilities and have lunch before we go. That was appreciated and above and beyond what you normally get. The hotel was calm and tranquil, ideal for couples looking to relax. Importantly, there is no animation team or loud entertainment, so if you're looking for a family holiday where the kids are entertained while you drink by the pool – this probably isn't the place for you. We found the food excellent. Plenty of options. Ate far too much as usual. The bar serves a variety of Cretan cocktails all made with Raki, which we enjoyed. Whilst there is a small amount of construction work happening on the adjacent harbour/fisheries area, it only had a minimal impact on our enjoyment. In fact, it was barely noticeable, and certainly didn’t detract from the beauty of the location. We were able to swim and snorkel in the bay, feeling completely safe and immersed in nature. All in all, Begeti Bay Hotel offers a serene and high-quality holiday experience. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a peaceful and unforgettable escape. We would certainly be happy to return.

Lovely hotel and fantastic staff so helpful and friendly we had a fantastic few days, the room was lovely and clean and towels were changed everyday. The food was really good and a nice selection of options for all of us. The sunsets are stunning

From start to finish it was the best experiences, all the staff went above and beyond for everything and were so lovely, sat at the beach bar every night when the main bar closed and it was so fun the music was amazing and the cocktails every even better. Will defo be going back never had such good service from a hotel before, made everyone feel so welcome and made everyone feel like family. Loved everyone they＜3

I'll start by saying how lovely each and everyone of the staff are here. They're really polite, helpful and friendly! The room was clean and tidy. Towels and sheets changed frequently. The air-conditioning was great. There was complimentary wine and crackers, hot drinks making facilities and a fridge with bottled water. The only thing missing was milk for the drinks. The coffee and tea bags weren't replenished so consider bringing your own (also the used cups/glasses where not replaced and I didn't fancy using hand soap to clean them so thats a very slight complaint if I'm been picky). The step in shower tends to flood the whole bathroom floor which can become very slippery...a little impractical to not have a door. There is a handy shop situated inside the hotel which has everything you could want and need (card payments accepted). The hotel itself has a great chill atmosphere, with a mix of couples and families. With entertainment every other night. The pool area was great. Plenty of loungers and not overly crowded. The water felt fresh and clean at the beginning of the week but towards the end it started to feel a little grimey. There is a bus you can catch to visit the old town (30 minutes ish to get there). You buy your tickets from the little shop which is handy. Although I think the hotel could benefit from displaying more information in regards to this and other outside activities. I only found out from other holiday makers there, who'd give me lots of information on where to find the bus stop etc. But a map of some kind would of been handy as locating the bus stop back wasn't as easy (even with Google maps). We also very nearly missed our stop coming back too. I'm a little apprehensive traveling anyway and it was just myself and my autistic teenager so I found myself internally panicking to not worry him. But luckily we were fine but more information/maps etc would be helpful to introverts and nervous people like myself. There is a restaurant couple minutes up the road if you fancy abit it a change from the all inclusive food. The food was good... I wouldn't say great but there was always plenty of options. And nothing beats an evening meal on the terrace with the view of the most beautiful sunsets you'll ever see! I'd love to return back here one day. Absolutely loved our time relaxing here.
