"I would like to sincerely thank you for your wonderful hospitality and for making my stay such a memorable experience. I especially want to thank your entertainment and activities team for the great atmosphere and the beautiful activities they organize for the guests. A special mention goes to Mr. Sami, who is doing an outstanding job. He is always friendly, energetic, helpful, and truly knows how to make guests enjoy their time. His dedication and positive spirit really make a difference. You have made an excellent choice with your team, from the kitchen and service to the entertainment and activities. I truly hope to see Sami and the whole team again next summer. Thank you once again for everything. I had a wonderful time with you."
Maravel Star Art Hotel ★★★★
"Great experience with Irene. Good advise on different types of services. Clean place. Recommend the 'Secrets of Knossos' massage. So nice, I took it twice."
Aegean View Hotel - Rethymno ★★★
"A small jewelry. The staff is very welcome. Easy and simple food. Great comfortable room. Hotel is quiet near the beach and far from the agitation of the centre of Rethymno."
AQUILA RITHYMNA BEACH ★★★★★
"We have just returned from our first family holiday abroad as a 4 to Aquila Rithymna Beach Hotel, and had a great time. The staff were friendly & polite, and the rooms spotlessly cleaned every day. We were Bed & Breakfast, and found the morning buffet to be excellent. So many choices - pastries, bread, cold meats & cheeses, fresh fruit and vegetables, olive oils, cooked options, crepes, juices and even prosseco! Fresh pots of coffee made for your table were also very well received by 2 tired parents. Our kids especially loved the Greek yoghurt, crepes and traditional Greek pastries :) The en site mini market is really well stocked with everything from sun creams, postcards and water to confectionery, hats, sanitary products, children's toys and swimming gear. Pricier than the local strip shops, but obviously very handy when you can't be bothered going further afield. The pools were lovely - we found the smaller two to be the most pleasant. More chance of nabbing a sunbed turning up after 10am, and still plenty space for the little ones to splash about and hone their swim skills. We could never get the app on the sun loungers to work for ordering drinks which was quite frustrating though! I used the spa one day for a facial and Cretan massage, which I cannot recommend enough. Very relaxing space with lovely ambiance, I wish I'd had time to return before we left! Tasty Corner was an amazing find, children of all boards can eat for free there from 11am every day (snacks, lunch and dinner provided). This was the best find of our holiday - both boys loved the food and we discovered some new things they love eating which we have gone on to buy since getting home! Especial shout out to the really lovely staff there who were super friendly, and even made some baby food especially for our youngest on one occasion :) it was a lovely atmosphere, very clean, and a highlight of our day wandering up. They also had kids sized toilets which were very useful! Special shout out to the kids entertainers as well - our eldest was especially taken with some of the evening shows. Most visitors seemed to be Czech, French or Italian but there was plenty going on in English so he didn't feel left out. Only downside was the extend to which the beach was pebbly. I would say swim shoes are a necessity rather than a nice-to-have, as we found barefoot walking very painful. This also put paid to our sandcastle dreams, so I would bare this in mind if you are looking for a soft sand beach. All in all, a lovely introduction to one of our favourite holiday destinations for our kids and somewhere I would recommend to any family looking for an easy and restful break in the Greek sunshine."

"The hotel was very good for our holiday with our kids! The water park was good enough for our kids and even the kids club was lovely. The staff was really friendly and helpful all the time. We had the room with private pool and it was lovely. Beds are really comfortable, bathroom may need some upgrade but still ok. Food was also very good."

"Pleasant not so big hotel with comfortable appartments with terrace, reach breakfast and helpful personal. Pool for childrem (and adults), supreme view on sunset. Sandy/stony beach just beside of hotel terrace. Clima for extra money (10 €€/day). Good kitchen, but a lot of possibility go out for everything (lunch, diner, big icecream, renting a car…..)."

"Our stay was great! The house is simple but beautiful with a lovely pool and amazing view. We were here with our 2 year old and she had a blast in the playing ground, she absolutely loved it and this meant some quiet time for us as well. It is close to Rethymno, location wise this was great. Our hostess was great and helped us out where need be. She treated our daughter with chocolates and made the best dinner. The breakfast is super as well, elaborate and yummy,"

Zeus Hotels Ydoria Resort
"We flew home from this hotel just last night, after spending 10 nights here for 6.5K. 2 adults and 4 children we had no choice but to book 2 rooms, luckily we managed to book 1 room with a private pool & the other without. 1 adult with 2 children in both rooms. We arrived at the hotel around 12am ish. The hotel had left leftover food from dinner for us to eat, we where extremely grateful as we was very hungry and unaware of food times for surrounding restaurants and the last thing we wanted to do was leave the hotel after traveling with 4 children aged 7-15. We had booked superior rooms, 1 with a private pool. There was nothing superior about the room if I'm honest. They where both extremely small, the room with the pool was smaller, the shower door was right next to the hotel door, and it opened outwards, tiny bathroom that remained soaked if someone had a shower. There was only the bathroom mirror in the room without the pool, no where to hang towels to dry (both rooms on ground floor). Every single morning we where waken with the cleaners walking and shouting up and down the hallways, using their cleaning trolleys so if your looking forward to a lay in, ground floor isn't a great place to be! The food was ok, breakfast consisted of multiple choices of fruits, yoghurts, cereals, pastry's and some cooked food. We found the Lunch options and dinner options very repetitive, so much so we were sick of eating chips and pizza. We had to eat out a few times to try and look forward to some food. Poolside food was chips (yummy ones) pizza, hotdogs, burgers, gyros, chicken nuggets and fish fingers. your typical all inclusive poolside snacks and it done the job! Hot food was kept warm and cold food was kept cold, all kept fresh away from flys and bugs ect. The cocktails and mocktails were really good, and was always served with a smile from the lovely staff. Soft drinks on tap (Pepsi, 7up, lemon, orange and water ect). (Strawberry coconut cocktail was my personal favourite). I simply can not write this review without mentioning Rico the entertainer, he is genuinely a pure happy soul. Having had conversations with him about his life and watching him bring everyone together for games during the day and entertainment in the evening, he really did make the day/evenings so enjoyable!! My children will certainly miss him and aqua gym!! I must mention fiyena (I hope I have spelt that correct) the lifeguard. She is outstanding, she is firm but very fair. She will ensure every child is safe but she will also make sure every single person around the pool is having fun and enjoying themselves, she really is a star who pitches in with cleaning plates and rubbish as well as helping children with their goggles and inflateables. What I will say is the first day we got there the floor was so slippy it had adults and children falling over, a major accident waiting to happen. I believe she made the hotel provide some safety mats to help, especially down slippe"
The Syntopia Hotel - Adults Only
"The most perfect couple’s retreat! As soon as you walk in you feel so calm and looked after! The hotel is beautiful and staff are amazing! We were fortunate to have treatment in the Spa and Katerina was very friendly and informative on helping us decide which treatment was best for us! Such an amazing person too! Will definitely come back!!"
Harmony Rethymno Beach Hotel
"Spent a relaxing week, at this smaller hotel. This created a very peaceful atmosphere. Every where was so clean and tidy. Food was delicious and plentiful. Rooms were spacious, the sea view and sunsets were so beautiful. All the staff go above and beyond to help make your stay a very happy memory. My only criticism, is no hand sanitizer around or in the restaurant. I witnessed several people coming out the WC without washing hands."
Rimondi Grand Resort & Spa
"It’s great service highly recommend . All staff are very friendly . Very clean hotel. Despina at Stasi cafe station she’s very helpful does a great job. Also the driver s are very nice and friendly."
