We were impressed by Villa Arumeru in Arusha from the start. The well-kept grounds with a large pool, comfortable padded loungers and numerous seating options in the garden and at the bar create a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere. The view of the lush garden is particularly beautiful, where you can watch many birds chirping as they build their nests in the palm trees - an idyllic, almost tropical feeling. Our room was spacious, tastefully furnished and had air conditioning and a large balcony with a view of the pool and garden. A particularly pleasant detail: the bed linen was changed daily, which was a real plus for us. The bathroom was well equipped, with a basket full of toiletries. The entry into the bathtub is a bit high, which may be worth mentioning for some guests, but overall the bathroom offers everything you need. One thing you should know is the approach. The road to the villa is in really bad condition the entire way. It is more like a bumpy dirt track than a road and can be a bit of a challenge for taxi drivers. For us, this was not a big problem - you are rewarded with absolutely safe and quiet accommodation. A real highlight is the outstanding service. The staff is incredibly attentive, friendly and always there with a smile. We found the free shoe shine service particularly charming - a blessing in the dusty surroundings. Every request is really taken care of immediately. We were impressed that the staff often had solutions ready before we even had to ask. The villa team was also a great help in organizing our safari. They put us in touch with a very friendly tour guide who came with his own card machine so that we could conveniently pay for the trip with a credit card - a real rarity in this region. Another highlight is the kitchen. Fresh, delicious dishes were prepared every day. The food was consistently tasty and of high quality. The prices are absolutely fair for this quality: a main course costs around 15 euros, a beer 3 euros and a glass of wine 6 euros. We have rarely eaten as well in accommodation as we did here. A small tip: There is a glass insert above the room door through which light from the stairwell falls into the room at night. If you like it dark, you should know this. We mentioned this to the staff and they immediately turned off the light in the stairwell at night - uncomplicated and solution-oriented. Overall, we felt completely at home in Villa Arumeru. The accommodation offers a great combination of beautiful grounds, a relaxed atmosphere and a service that is truly exceptional. We would come back anytime and can only recommend this little oasis in Arusha!
