Meru is superb, and we especially loved the beautiful natural surroundings. The room was modern and stylish, designed with touches of Africa elements. The private balcony was the perfect spot to unwind with a cup of coffee while taking in the scenery. The dinner buffet offered a wide variety of delicious dishes, while the breakfast spread was extensive, with plenty of choices. We would highly recommend Gran Meliá Arusha to anyone visiting Arusha."

"Bottom line up front: Ask to meet Praygod and go on a wonderful adventure around the property and adjacent lake. We had a lovely 3 day stay at the Arusha Lodge before beginning our trip. When we arrived our tour director recommended a walk with the gardener, Praygod, who is a naturalist-in-training. He was such a great resource of information about the area. He was very knowledgeable about plants, birds, agriculture and culture of Arusha and more broadly Tanzania. We learned so much from him! We took two hikes and walks outside the property with him and his enthusiasm was absolutely infectious. The hikes with Pray were the highlight of our stay."

The location and garden were very nice, the rooms comfortable, the prices at the bar were good. We enjoyed breakfast but we didn't like dinner. Wifi is available in the entire hotel, but we needed to re-sign-in everytime we moved from the room to the lobby and vice versa. We had a beautiful bathtub in the room, but that was not well maintained."

"We just stayed for one night before our safari started. The hotel itself was fine. Nothing fancy, but clean, comfortable, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It also has a nice little restaurant. One thing to be aware of is that the surrounding area is very busy, with a market, bus station, and a mosque very close. So, there was quite a bit of city noise during our stay. "

"We stayed at Tulia Boutique Hotels & Spa for one night before our safari tour. Most guest rooms are in the main building, but we were assigned a triple room in a separate building within the grounds. The room had a window, but it faced a wall, making it feel quite gloomy even during the day. This was my only disappointment with the stay. We booked a half-board plan, and for dinner we could choose from à la carte options—all of which were delicious. Considering the size of the hotel, the breakfast buffet offered a limited selection, which is understandable. However, they prepared omelets and fried eggs fresh on the spot, which was a nice touch. The staff were exceptionally kind, always greeting us and offering help whenever needed. The grounds, including the pool, were beautifully maintained, creating a relaxing atmosphere. Overall: Great service and food, lovely grounds, but the room location and lack of natural light were drawbacks."

Although they made a mistake in our 2nd booking with them (which resulted in them finding another nearby accommodation for us to stay instead), the experience with Charity Hotel is still quite pleasant :)"

"I stayed here as a part of a group tour. It is a cosy and modern house with nine ensuite rooms, and with a nice swimming pool and sunbading area in the back garden. Everything is very clean and beds a very good. We were all very pleased with our accommodation there. I also used the swimming pool and found it very refreshing. The staff are very caring and trying to do their best for the guests all the time. And I mean, all the time, day and night! A lady from our group, who hurt her leg, was given some ice and bandages in the evening, which was already a nice gesture. But they also offered to bring her some new ice at 2 am, to change the compress. And they did! There is a small Catholic church nearby. I enjoyed my stay at Korona Villa very much."
