Hotels Near LAND ART PARK「ACAO FOREST」 in Atami

I suppose the charm of Atami is that the whole area is a little bit 'dated' as far as a resort goes, and this hotel definitely aligns with that - it seems like a place that was once great and is now kind of just rolling along bringing in what money it can. The food is serviceable but totally uninspired - an upscale cafeteria masquerading as something better than it is with 'chefs' wearing their whites. The entire dining room constantly smells of fryer oil from the tempura - which they still make and keep stock of in such large quantities that it is never fresh and crispy anyways (especially the shrimp, which has not been sufficiently dried before battering). The remaining hot dishes are very disappointing both in terms of variety and overall flavor. The sushi and sashimi is the standout of the food, although it too is very basic - not anything that will blow your mind, but acceptably tasty and reasonably fresh (although on our second night everything tasted a bit soapy/bleachy). As a westerner you will be very disappointed by the breakfast, although that's a 'me' problem rather than a hotel problem per se. The spa facilities are nice but a bit dated - be careful in your selection of both time and location unless you want to be surrounded with many loud (mostly Chinese) children. Private spas are available and are quite nice, although again dated. Nonetheless at around 60 USD for an hour the price is good for the privacy, especially as a westerner who is otherwise subject to quite a bit of staring at this mostly local and Chinese spa. We stayed in a deluxe king room, which was spacious with an enormous and comfortable bed, and a (For japan) reasonably sized tub. Room and desk service was good. The hotel is a bit off the beaten path but has regular free shuttles to/from Atami station, which is where the main tourist streets for shopping etc can be found. Highly suggest checking out Golden Eye for some excellent Ramen.

The room is super big, Japanese style, 60 square meters, facing the hot bay. It is in the old building area. It is more than enough for my daughter and I. You can imagine the beauty of the fireworks festival. It is also because it is not the fireworks festival season that we can book a room facing this direction. The breakfast and dinner buffets are very rich, and there is a large bath facing the harbor for free. The night view of the harbor is very good.

The room faces the sea, you can watch the fireworks show, the dinner is very rich and delicious, the hot spring is also very good. The best thing is that you can watch the fireworks on the top floor of the hotel. It is very close to the beach and the Itokawa cherry blossoms, which can be reached on foot.

This hotel is a very unique hotel in Atami. It has a unique Japanese style, you can come and experience it. Their hot springs are also great! The grandfather at the front desk was very enthusiastic and kept introducing it to us. It was as warm and comfortable as returning home! We will stay here again next time we come to Atami👍

We booked room 92 for the fireworks festival. I saw some comments saying that the check-in process was not user-friendly, but our experience was very good. We received an email from the hotel before check-in to upload our passports and register in advance. The email also clearly stated the password for the hotel entrance, and it was easy to check in on the laptop in the lobby. The parking lot was also clearly indicated. The kids were very happy to see the free drinks and snacks. We were even more excited when we stood on the terrace and watched the fireworks. Although the check-in fee was not cheap, aq thought it was worth it.

The hotel charged me over price for 6 years old kid. He didn’t even eat much and sleep on my bed. It cost me 9,790 yen. The room is good and if you don’t have car, don’t come. 😖

This is a traditional Japanese Ryokan style hotel. All instructions are in English however, means there are foreigners regularly staying here. There is a open air onsen (hot bath) which is very pleasant. Must be reserved in advance. Drinks can be bought at 200 yen a pop. This is a fully unmanned Ryokan meaning it self check in and self checkout ! The rooms are very small (4 meter square) which barely fits a bed. Pictures on the travel sites about the rooms in this hotel are deceiving ! The location is sort of OK from Kinomiya station but it's quite far from Atami city center and Atami sun beach . We took at taxi which was 1200 yen. Kinomiya Jinja is 25 minutes by foot.

The landlord is very nice and enthusiastic. The room was very comfortable and the hot spring was very nice. As for transportation, it is close to Kurimiya Station. If you come from Atami Station, you can take a taxi. Ten minutes walk from the beach. The overall evaluation is very satisfactory, thank you for the hospitality!

The environment is very good, facing the seaside park, standing on the balcony you can see the sunrise and sunset, the breakfast restaurant also faces the sea, we spent a pleasant time here. As for the location... Considering that Atami is backed by mountains and faces the sea, it is best to take a car to the hotel from the station, otherwise you will be deceived by the distance of the navigation positioning, thinking that you can get there in two steps, but end up dragging your luggage on the steps of the mountain city and getting lost.

Everything is perfect, the hotel design is humanity and comfortable. The onsen in the room with regular temp all day and the view from balcony and public onsen is gorgeous.The service is really great by every staffs. The car park is just on the floor with your room is also very convenience. Look forward to come again if have chances.
