Hotels Near Omonia Railway Station in Athens

My family just spent 2 nights at the Stanley and found it to be a fantastic place to stay. Our first experience was the spacious lobby with ample seating and several coolers containing beverages available to guests. The check in seemed a little slow but was eventually completed by a friendly desk person. Our room was very clean and outfitted with good air conditioning, a high pressure deluxe shower and luxury quality mattresses. There was an outdoor meeting area that was peaceful and private. The top floor had an incredible pool and restaurant area. Breakfast had an amazing selection with outdoor seating. The weakest part of the stay was the Cloud Nine Restaurant. The ambience was very special but the service was slow and food was mediocre. Overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this place but might suggest having dinner at some of the really fine restaurants nearby.

The hotel is very clean and the waiters are very considerate. My husband caught a cold and had a fever on the second day after checking in. The hotel staff took the initiative to call and ask if he needed help. On the last day of checkout, they also asked if he had recovered. There are also a variety of beautiful desserts in the hotel lobby for guests to taste. The hotel is also very conveniently located. It is within walking distance to various important attractions. There are also many restaurants and bars nearby. It is worth mentioning that the hotel's breakfast is very delicious. If you come to Athens again, the dolli is definitely the best choice!

The hotel is located in the Syntagma Square area, with very convenient transportation. It is located in the center of Athens, surrounded by shopping, supermarkets, and dining facilities. The Acropolis can also be seen directly from the restaurant on the 10th floor. Whether in the morning or at night, the scenery is beautiful and it is recommended to stay.

Highlights: beautiful views of acropolis and surrounding area from rooftop bar/restaurant space (also where breakfast served), buffet of good standard and restaurant staff very polite and a credit to the hotel. Improvements: reception staff generally very helpful but one particular staff member was not forthcoming with information/recommendations for restaurants/ details regarding late check out - we were always referred to come back later/following day to reception to ask someone else; when same questions asked later to a different member of staff, they were more than happy to help with all enquiries. Room: no ‘do not disturb’ sign available, housekeeping knocked on room at 9am every day, which woke us up; also housekeeping entering room after knocking on door without waiting for guests to respond; need some adjustments to respect privacy or guests; hotel corridors are very stuffy even in winter time Overall: a very pleasant stay

The location of hotel is excellent, very close to the x95 bus station and Syntagma metro station. Breakfast buffet is good, great variety of food and many of them are tasty. The beds and other furniture are not modern but clean. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful.

My wife and I experienced a fabulous time at this remarkable establishment. The rooms are very spacious, ambient, and very tastefully decorated with beautiful art and outstanding books in English that would benefit any traveller to Athens. All the amenities were high tech and also afforded standard means, such as a key, for those who are uncomfortable opening their doors, window blinds, air conditioners with an app. The free breakfast platter menu was outstanding that also provided a la carte options for all tastes without added cost. There’s also an outstanding menu for other excellent meals that are reasonably priced. The bar is also totally stocked with all drinks. The very caring staff was the friendliest we have ever encountered anywhere in a hotel! The hotel is also very significant in its great aesthetic and historical appeal and yet fully modernized for even the most discerning of travellers. We will be back again at this very same and outstanding establishment! The location is outstanding! The Parthenon, Hadrian’s Library and both the Greek and Roman agoras are just 12-15 walking minutes away from the hotel.

I took the last room available, a single room, and was not looking forward to a small room but very pleasantly surprised. The room was compact but very nicely furnished. These rooms have been modernised recently and was absolutely perfect for my needs for a one-night stay in Athens. Excellent shower and air conditioning. I slept very well, the only negative comment would be that I was woken very early by the noise of staff getting breakfast ready. The hotel is quietly situated in a side street very close to the Acropolis entrance and just a short walk down the hill from the city centre tour bus drop off. It's also just a few minutes walk from the Acropolis metro stop. The roof terrace has beautiful views and you can buy a drink from the downstairs bar and take it up to the roof. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and I would definitely recommend Acropolis View Hotel for single travellers.

Stay one night there, nice location to all the tourists spots. Can store luggage but not in a room or a private space. The last day morning before checkout, the electricity and water supply ran out without reason, we just messaged the reception but no response.

Stayed five days with friends. Booked four rooms. Staff were very friendly, as for me is a Greeks, some of the most hospitable people in the world. The breakfast was plentiful, staff again done a great job. It was a very busy As it’s a conference Hotel really. However that didn’t mean that it was bad. The pool was mostly quiet. And spotless clean as was the whole hotel. Heard some say it was far away from city. For us we didn’t think so, it was literally a 15 minute walk right to the centre, however if you cross the very busy road, your literally among some great non touristy restaurants and cafes. I never felt the staff or the policy of the hotel was to attempt to get money from you for extras, everyone was very integrity minded. My only slight gripe was that the maid service was a bit inconsistent, so the room wasn’t made up to the same standard each day. However I mentioned it to the reception and received a letter and bottle of wine, which wasn’t expected but appreciated. On a plus the rooms are huge, with a nice sitting area and large bathroom. Only other thing. As we book four rooms for 5 nights , and our flight was leaving late and we needed a room to stay later, I felt the 117 euros for late checkout was a bit steep and as we had booked the four rooms I think they could have gave us a bigger discount than have the room rate , as is their policy obviously. Other than that. It was a great hotel considering its massive size. Would definitely recommend. It’s not Dubai 5 star so if that’s what you expect you will be discounted. However it’s very good and very genuine, spotless clean and great staff.

Everything was perfect in this well located hotel. We travelled with a dog and they were very accommodating. The room was very comfortable, clean and with full amenities. We will definitely return soon!
