hotelF1 Avignon Centre Courtine Gare TGV ★
"Towels cost €3. It was quite clean, thanks to the woman at reception who receives guests and cleans even in the evenings. Overall, it was very, very good for an F1 Hotel compared to other hotels in the chain."
Avignon Grand Hotel ★★★★
"Arrived from Paris by TGV and checked in. Had a bad feeling when I saw a fan in the room. When I returned after going out, I found that the air conditioning in the room wasn't blowing cold air at all. After speaking with the front desk, I was moved to a room in a different elevator bank, which had a split AC unit, and the problem was resolved. It felt like the central air conditioning in the original building block was just not working properly. The hotel overall is a bit old and also hosts tour groups. The service is decent. It doesn't really have a 'resort' feel. It's okay for a one-night stay, but for a longer visit, I'd recommend choosing somewhere more comfortable."
Hôtel le Bristol ★★★★
"Close from Avignon Central station, the hotel was a great place to stay."
Hôtel Le Cloître Saint Louis ★★★★
"The hotel is conveniently located opposite the train station. The rooms are spacious and clean. The breakfast selection is generous with bread and cakes, and the hotel restaurant also serves dinner."
ibis budget Avignon Centre ★★
"It feels itchy to sleep on that bed and everything looks old. Low price is the only pro"
Résidence les Cordeliers ★★★
"Admittedly, the hotel is located within the city walls, which is very convenient, especially during festivals, but the price of €185 per night for a studio in a student residence is excessive, even considering the principles of supply and demand. In my room, the shower was very cramped, and it was impossible to avoid the cold touch, particularly from the shower curtain. Furthermore, there was a strong smell of stagnant water! As for breakfast, avoid it if you don't want to relive your school cafeteria memories with a very limited selection, mediocre quality products, and chipped cups!"
Mercure Avignon TGV Hotel et Spa ★★★★
"Super friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Thanks 🙏"
ApartHotel Sainte-Marthe ★★★
"Located near one of the entrances to the old part of the city, the room was comfortable and quite spacious. The mattress was excellent, but unfortunately there was only one pillow per person. Hotels usually have at least two pillows. There was a built-in closet with shelves and a wardrobe compartment. In the shower, the shampoo and shower gel were in packets and there was no soap. Interestingly, we were given one set of soap and towels for two people. The hotel has a laundry service. Washing costs 3 euros, drying 2 euros. The finale is essentially empty, but it's there. The breakfast was surprisingly varied. Four types of cheese, stewed vegetables, and cold cuts. The hotel accepts cards and cash. If paying with cash, make sure you have the exact amount and no change."
Kyriad Avignon - Palais des Papes ★★★
"It's located within the walled city, so you can't drive your car right up to it. They have an agreement with the Papas Square car park, which is about 300m away."

La Maison Grivolas Appartements et Maison d'hôtes
"The environment is beautiful and the room is very cozy."
Brit Hotel Avignon Sud le Calendal
"A disastrous experience. My mother and I arrived late after a long day of driving and sightseeing in and around Avignon. The kitchen was open for a group but closed for us, even though we were starving. I do thank the receptionist for giving us (albeit rather unenthusiastically) a basket of bread. Feeling a bit more satisfied after eating some snacks we bought at the hotel reception, we took a shower in a filthy bathroom (hair everywhere, a strong drain smell, crumbling furniture legs...). We changed into our pajamas and were about to get into bed when we discovered stained sheets—yuck! We had already settled into our room, put on our pajamas, and were exhausted. We didn't feel like going down to reception to ask for housekeeping or a room change; we just wanted to sleep (which is why we booked a hotel room in the first place). In short, we put a blanket over the extremely stained sheet (with some unknown fluid). The next day, we complained at reception and were criticized for not having gone downstairs when we first encountered the problem. So beware if you stay at this hotel; they expect you to do the work of a housekeeper in the middle of the night in your pajamas, and on top of that, you have to pay. I later requested a refund, which was refused for the reason mentioned above, accompanied by contempt from the hotel manager. Hygiene shouldn't even be a questionable issue in a hotel. And the worst part is that I was criticized for leaving a review mentioning all these problems I experienced."
ibis Avignon Sud
"excellent experience, highly recommended!"
Le Gîte du Festival Sud Aqua - Avignon TGV
"I didn't expect it to be a place similar to a motel. I can cook, have a swimming pool, and have a semi-closed small yard at my door. I am very satisfied."
La Divine Comédie-Suites Deluxe
"The whole is amazing. Although the hardware is not the best. But the feeling and environment are really excellent. Make up for the lack of hardware. The predecessor of the Pope's residence alone has taught people endless aftertaste."
Novotel Avignon Centre
"This hotel is conveniently located near the train station, just outside the old city walls. While it's a bit of a walk to the city center and the Palais des Papes, the hotel rooms are well-equipped and very clean. The breakfast selection is plentiful, and the service is warm and friendly."
Be Loft B&B Pool & Spa
"The location is very beautiful, the rooms with jacuzzi and spa are amazing. We were very well received. Breakfast was also top. The concept is great, this place is worth the tour, I strongly recommend it! Well located on Avignon, near the city centre."
La Maison de l'Olivier
"We had an excellent three days here. The owners could not be more welcoming and took the time to talk through how everything works when we arrived. The pool is nice too, although a bit fresh by late September! The guesthouse is in a great location for exploring Avignon too."
Hotel de Cambis, BW Premier Collection
"Close to railway station and just opposite tourist information centre. It is within walking distance to major attractions like the Papal palace and the bridge. Very good location."
Golden Tulip Avignon le Paradou
"Correct, classic breakfast, pool currently under renovation."
Hôtel Mercure Avignon Centre Palais des Papes
"The hotel's location is absolutely fantastic, right next to the Papal Palace! However, the facilities are on par with a budget motel, definitely not what you'd expect from a 4-star hotel; it barely scrapes by as a 3-star. Perhaps because it's an old building, the hallways are incredibly narrow and dim. The room was tiny, with no trash can except for a miniature one in the bathroom. There wasn't even a proper desk, just a small 40cm ledge. No gym or pool. The floorboards creaked loudly with every step, making me worried about disturbing the neighbors. There's central air conditioning, but no matter what temperature you set it to, the air coming out was the same as outside. No complimentary bottled water. The most frustrating thing was that the housekeeping staff would always mess up my toiletries, and one time my razor was even disassembled—I suspect the cleaner might have used it themselves 🤢"
Auberge de jeunesse HI Avignon
"The stay was good, and breakfast was included. The breakfast had all the basics: coffee, bread, yogurt, and fruit puree. The location is also excellent, very close to the station, making it convenient to travel to other places. The only downside is there's no kitchen, but there is a fridge, and you can also store your luggage."
Mercure Pont d'Avignon Centre Hotel
"The worst hotel we have ever been to. Definitely. Dirty carpets everywhere, boring staff(they dont want to work ther, they said) Smells like bad eau de cologne all over the place. When we arrived there was some nosy youngsters in the so called reception, that spoke to each other more than to us. Bad service over all. And, and, and… do not go there!"
Best Western Plus le Lavarin
"The hotel was very nice. The stuff was so friendly. I will come back there."
Le Magnan
"There is no elevator, I had to carry the suitcases by myself. I was stunned. The parking space was not in the right place. The electric door only opened for one minute. When I reversed out of the garage, I was not careful and the gate fell down. I almost fell over. Haha"
Hôtel le Médiéval Palais des Papes
"It was a girls' trip, with four of us—my best friend and I, each with our mothers. We were on a self-driving tour. We initially stayed at an F1 hotel, thinking it would be decent since it's a chain, but the environment was a bit shocking. We quickly found this hotel, Medieval, on Trip.com. The only downside is that it's located in the old town, so we couldn't drive directly to it. We ended up taking our lighter luggage and walking the rest of the way in. The hotel is surrounded by many beautiful attractions and restaurants. Highly recommend!"
