The Cubes Ella ★★★
"I had a good experience with the hotel. The room was beautiful, there was hot water, and the dinner and breakfast were delicious. However, due to the construction site nearby, the view from the window didn't match the photos. However, that doesn't apply to the hotel."
Suriya Haven Homestay ★★
"Chill Homestay. 100% recommended."
Ella Flower Garden Resort ★★★★
"This hotel is worth staying for the stunning mountain views alone. Otherwise, the rooms are a bit dirty, especially the bathroom, with lots of dead insects on the curtains. The bathroom lacks even basic amenities (soap dish, glass for toothbrushes, etc.). There were mosquitoes in the room upon check-in. The staff didn't seem particularly concerned."
Jetwing Hoffmann Bungalow ★★★★
"My girlfriend and I had an amazing stay at the bungalow. This place has 5 stars services! The chef is amazing and the food is absolutely delicious. The staff is really friendly and take such a good care of you. In addition the tea property is beautiful, it is a little paradise. Thank you again for the lovely stay!"
Ella Ridge View ★★★
"The good: Unbelievable view Fantastic service and really friendly staff The best breakfast I have ever had while travelling Knowledgeable hosts Nice location, about 1km away from ella town but really, really close to nine bridge arch and little adam peak trailhead Clean and comfortable rooms Would 100% stay there again The only issues we had were the wifi was pretty dreadful and we had to use data everyday The pictures are of breakfast and of the room view"
Jetwing Warwick Gardens, A Luxury Reserve ★★★★★
"My family and I had a truly amazing time staying at this lovely hotel. Wiji, Ruba, and Jaykumar did an fantastic job of creating a peaceful stay and also teaching us about every step in the tea making process. Plus, Chef Yoga's food was a true highlight of the trip. I highly recommend seeing Warwick Gardens for yourself!"
Tree Nature Resort ★★
Andriyala ★★★
"This is a pretty place and a small hotel. Staff were helpful and welcoming. Room was clean and bathroom modern. The gardens are very pretty and the pool was lovely and cool. We had dinner outside next to the pool with the fire lit as it’s cooler in the mountains. Food was good and the chef came and said hello too which was nice."
Mapakada Village - Wild Trails & Lake Retreat - Mahiyanganaya ★★★★
"We had a wonderful stay at Mapakada Village. The staff was incredibly friendly, the food was delicious, and the pool was fantastic. At around 7 p.m., we watched flying foxes over the pool, and then, to our surprise, elephants walked past the hotel. It was an unforgettable experience! We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area."

Anasa Wellness Resort
"Absolutely beautiful chalet to stay in. Everything you need and a bit more! Balcony overlooking the view from the resort which is at the top of a mountain. Food was delicious and service great. We visited the well equipped gym and the swimming pool - lovely!"
The Capoe House
"The Capoe House is an amazing mountain hide-away with just 3 rooms with exceptional service. Kiyu and Buter-Chaminda and their teams took great care of us and the food was delightful! Would recommend 10/10. Thanks for this unforgettable experience!"
Thotalagala
"Set in the heart of tea estate country, this place offers the most stunning views and a wonderfully comfortable, homely stay in a beautifully restored plantation bungalow. As the evenings can be a little cooler at this altitude, it was a real treat to enjoy drinks by the log fire, which added to the cosy atmosphere. It feels more like being at a private house party than staying in a hotel, and as it’s quite small, be prepared to socialise a little with other guests — our first dinner was at a communal table, which made for a warm and friendly start to the stay. The waiting and room staff were all superb and couldn’t have been more attentive. All in all, it’s a fantastic place to stay. Be sure to take advantage of the complimentary visit to Lipton’s Seat and the nearby tea factory, which is wonderfully old-school and absolutely fascinating."
Moi Ella by DBI
"This hotel is basic. No duvet in the room, apparently you have to request one. Nice welcome tea and some local snacks while waiting to check in but beware there are still mosquitoes around despite the cooler temperature. I got bitten twice whilst waiting to check in. I was put on the ground floor with a view of the car park which was disappointing given the incredible views on offer of Ella from the rooms higher up. They have a swimming pool from what I can tell is a bit cold! The omelette at breakfast was good and they found me some green tea when I asked for it. The buffet at dinner was ok and included slices of pizza. Staff were friendly and helpful. All in all I imagine this hotel offers great views but it is way too far out from the centre of Ella so if you plan to go into town in the evening you’re looking at paying around 5,000 rupees for a taxi to take you, wait there for you and bring you back. So unless you’re there for a specific reason I’d stay closer to all the shops and bars in town."
Area 4 Eco Cubes
"one of peaceful placed that we stayed at Area 4 eco cubes.friendly starff with superb sevice.thank you so much for your mouthwatering foods ,brilliant location ,clean and well kept.everything was 100% it was an amazing experience that we had.we hope to come back."
Dream Cliff Mountain Resort
"The most incredible place ever! I can’t recommend highly enough- best experience we have ever had!"
Ella Dream Mount
"This hotel was dirty, damp and rooms smelt, we arrived into Ella late at night we had had a long day travelling and thought pictures liked beautiful and hotel was nice , when we arrived we could tell straight away that rooms would not be nice, took us down to rooms as soon as opened door very basic rooms smelt of mould and damp things crawling in the bed was very dirty like sheets had not been washed toilet seat broken too I complained straight away about the room damp and smelt they just turned aircon on we left room to get dinner and was looking everywhere for accommodation that night and was full , lucky enough I phoned 98 Arce and spoken to a bloke and was telling him we are desperate and he managed to get us a family run villa the next day and we checked out the next day they tried charging me a lot more more then what it was which I pay as I was getting surrounded by men which now I will dispute with my bank , ,I made my kids sleep in there clothes as bed sheets and bed that bad , I would avoid this hotel completely, breakfast was awful too the only nice thing was the tea, on booking . Com they are trying to sell it that it has loads of facilities which it has not and I told them that you are miss selling the hotel ... If you want a cold shower too this hotel is for you no hot water either Awful accommodation and I don't know where they are getting 9 star review I think they are filling it in themselves HORRIBLE experience"
Lilara Hills - Diyatalawa
"The hotel is in the mountains and forests, the environment is very good, there is a large terrace, the boss is a very kind couple, the breakfast is also very rich, the black tea is very good, you can take various photos near the hotel, take pictures of the starry sky, the galaxy and fireflies on the terrace. Super cost-effective, very recommended"
Clio Ella Resort
"We visited the Ella Jungle Resort in Feb 2025 and this was a big disappointment. We had two cottage rooms above each other (Room 8A and 8B) and the state of the room was pathetic. The location and surroundings are picturesque within heart of nature. However the rooms are are badly designed with poor lighting and amenities. For the price charged this was a clear rip-off. Visible signs of poor maintenance and hygiene. Bathrooms are equally badly designed with no planning as well with low pressure of water. Food quality was equally bad with small portions and lack of taste The only saving grace was the prompt and efficient service by the local staff. Very courteous and tried to help inspite of all challenges. Must compliment them for their attitude and helpful nature"
Misty Elegance - Ella.
"We stayed 3 nights in this hotel with our 2 young kids. Room was clean, bedding comfortable and area really calm (6-8 minutes walking from city center). Staff were nice and accommodating. I have 2 major remarks: - hotel is noisy: you can hear everything (and everyone!) in the other rooms/terrace so if you have a light sleep, bring ear buds or don’t stay here - rooms are missing some shelves, especially in the bathroom were you have no place to put your stuff. Apart for this, this was an enjoyable stay and we recommend this place for your stay in Ella."
Ella, Nine Arch Holiday Resort
"good for relaxing and peace of mind"
Olive Bungalow - Jetwing Select
"It is been great experience and wonderful staff, namely, Mr Kumar the chef delicious meals with personal preferences and taste Mr Siva best hospitality with big smile and Mr Arumugam happy experience man of hospitality… best memories and highly recommend"
Falcon Villas
"Falcon Villa is a wonderful place, made even more special by the warm and friendly people who are always smiling. The food was excellent, and we were treated to free jungle visits – unforgettable experiences that will stay with us forever. The morning sunshine views were absolutely breathtaking, and the price was very reasonable. Highly recommended"
