The Cubes Ella
"Very Cozy place with friendly and helpful staff Breakfast with amazing view"
Ella, Nine Arch Holiday Resort
"good for relaxing and peace of mind"
Moi Ella by DBI
"The welcoming and staff are amazing and so is the dinner; however, the hotel is really far from downtown. My room was small but okay, it had a nice balcony with mountain view. The bathroom is big, but it flooded everytime I took a shower since there is no shower curtains or box. Watch out: the floor becomes very slippery! They did not clean my room or even asked me if I wanted it to be cleaned. I asked them for a silent room (my only request) and the front desk girl gave me a room over the restaurant which means noise started at 6:30am ):"
Olive Bungalow - Jetwing Select
"WE HAD A GOOD TIME AT JETWING WELIMADA. Manager of the premises Mr Gayan maintain the place in good condition and Mr Siva (the care taker) looked after us very well and Mr Kumar ( the chef) feed us with delicious food. I strongly recommend for you to visit this place"
Andriyala
"We found this beautiful place throug social media, and honestly it was even better than we expected🙏🙏 Andriyala looks exactly same like the photos, even more beautiful in real life. The surroundings are so peaceful and relaxing, perfect for a couplee. Rooms were clean and comfy, views are just amazing, and the staff were very friendly and helpful all the time. Really happy we discovered this place for our honeymoon 🙏 Would love to come again for sure."
Ella Ridge View
"Rooms dirty - not reception or room service. On top of that forgot my sun glasses in the property. Realize when I was 20 min away by car and called them. They told me not to worry and that they would send the glasses by cuorier to my next destination- nice people I tought. Later on simply delayed the shipment to keep the sun glasses."
Ella Red Rock
"Stayed overnight at this hotel after a rebooking. The road there is challenging, but the locals are happy to drive up by tuk-tuk or 4x4. Incredibly steep roads. 😅 Beautiful location with stunning views. Rooms are spacious and clean, with balconies. No air conditioning, but a fan. Air conditioning wasn't necessary, given the temperature. Within walking distance of Ella. A shortcut takes you down to the village. The return journey via the same path is steep and quite challenging. Of course, you can also opt for a tuk-tuk. There's plenty to do around Ella, and Ella Red Rock is a great base. Very friendly staff who will help you whenever needed."
A'Lankaa Resorts & Spa
"This place is mind blowing Architecture wise and service wise. staffs are very friendly. worth the price.we Stayed in Indrajith Sunrise Suite. very luxury room with Jacuzzi. High tea was simply superb and delicious."
Misty Elegance - Ella.
"We stayed 3 nights in this hotel with our 2 young kids. Room was clean, bedding comfortable and area really calm (6-8 minutes walking from city center). Staff were nice and accommodating. I have 2 major remarks: - hotel is noisy: you can hear everything (and everyone!) in the other rooms/terrace so if you have a light sleep, bring ear buds or don’t stay here - rooms are missing some shelves, especially in the bathroom were you have no place to put your stuff. Apart for this, this was an enjoyable stay and we recommend this place for your stay in Ella."

Jetwing Warwick Gardens, A Luxury Reserve
"Right from the atmosphere, restored details and attentive service to the beautiful property and the plantation walk everything about Warwick Gardens was a delight. We felt so at peace during our 2 day stay here and Viji was so amazing and helpful."
98 Acres Resort & Spa
"Beautiful views"
The Capoe House
"The staff were amazing, especially Lensi who was great! He took us to the waterfall in the morning and we had such an amazing time swimming in it! The meals were also great as well! We had a five course dinner with barbecue chicken, and a great breakfast after the waterfall! Would definitely recommend!!!"
Anasa Wellness Resort
"Fantastic room with no issues. Lovely view of tea plantation and hills. Great staff and friendly Restaurant meal absolutely stunning but ate alone in large room so not much atmosphere. Breakfast was the same but with one guest only in the room. Meals were included and were extremely tasty. There is no alcohol served but the non alcoholic cocktails were delicious. Just a bit of a pity we didn’t see many other guests while our stay. Certainly worth the price but be aware of the journey to the hotel via the tight village road. Our driver did say he was with eight others in one room really odd!"
Dolape Budget
"This was the worse stay I ever had in my life. I ended up in Daria and puking. The kitchen was a mess and the food was really bad. Nobody should ever go to this place. And the place is not as in the picture. They charge a really high rate but they don’t even responsible for what they charge for. They don’t even change the bed covers or replace towels."
Aloft Grand Hotel Ella
"Very bad experience I had in my travel life. Such a bad hotel. No water. No food. Staff do not speak. I had to speak to the Aloft Grand owner to get some water into room. Cleanliness NIL. Beds are awful. See the vet mages I attached. Insects all over. Cannot keep the doors open. Cats are coming inside the room. No locks in the bathroom doors. Cannot even give a one star rating to this hotel."
Living Heritage Koslanda
"This was a magical place to stay. We were lucky that Lucy the owner was there during our stay. What her and her late husband have created (and she is still creating) on this 80 acre piece of land is nothing short of amazing. Lucy was full of local knowledge and history. She was extremely generous with her time for her guests as well as delightful to speak to. She is properly hands on too with the development and upkeep of this Estate. Stunning scenery, including tea plantations in the far distance, a waterfall that you can walk/climb to and plenty of nature to soak up. The staff were lovely & helpful. Our accommodation was beautiful and spacious. All in all a sanctuary to chill and relax at but with lots of places to see and visit that aren’t too far away should you wish to explore."
Melheim Resort & Spa Haputale - An Infinite Escape into the Paradise
"Fantastic service led by Dilan! Greta spot and food was outstanding. The view is superb from the room and the pool area as well. Really enjoyed the stay."
Clio Ella Resort
"One of the best places on earth I hu been to. From the time u step in till the end of your stay the love and care the staff share is so amazing. Everyone is so caring to your needs. Ajith is funny and very knowledgeable about everything. He has so many stories to share Lalith takes care of the Food and Beverages side. Best attitude he carries around.. Isuru is there to help with any adventures you want to do.. with all this said ... I have to mention the 2 fur babies (Bruno boy and Nanga) that greets you everyday.. if you are lucky one of them will even ride the cable car and the truck with u to the drop off point and say goodbye...🥲"
Serenite Ella
"Brilliant locations Super View Great food Warm Hospitality Thank you very much Would recommend this place if you can climb down very steep steps Other the rooms and the washrooms are clean and well kept The staff were very friendly and accommodating"
Wishing Tree Boutique Resort Haputale
Jetwing Hoffmann Bungalow

Dinaro Guest
"Really good place"
Falcon Villas
"Falcon Villa I had mixed feelings. A beautiful location right on a tea plantation among the tea bushes, with a stunning view of the valley. You can't see the sunset, but you can see the sunrise if you get up at 6:30 a.m. We arrived with our family and three children in our own car. The owner of the villa met us on the road and told us that our key car wouldn't allow us to go any further. He offered to leave our car in a secure private area near the road. We were loaded into the owner's cars with our luggage and driven 4 km along a narrow private mountain road to the villa. We had delicious breakfasts (the coconut pancakes were excellent, but we don't recommend the cheese toast), and for dinner we had delicious vegetables and fish/chicken. The owner arranged for us to take a tour of waterfalls with a swim in a mountain river, where we encountered a large number of local leeches. The children really enjoyed the waterfalls and the swim, and the owner gave us the tour for free. The host was friendly, sociable, and willing to accommodate our every need. He offered us an extra room free of charge so that each child could have their own bedroom. On the first evening after dinner, the host was willing to chat with us for quite a while, but we were tired after the 250 km drive from Galle and quickly went to bed. The next evening, we again didn't appreciate the host's chattiness because we were more interested in talking among ourselves. On the last day, it turned out that he hadn't seen our payment, even though we had paid 100% of the villa's cost in advance (about six months in advance). He billed us again for the cost of our stay. For the extra room (which he had initially offered free of charge), it turned out he only accepted cash, not cards. He suggested that I contact the villa rental service (trip.com) to return the payment to me and pay him directly. I refused, showed him the payment confirmation from trip.com and the payment receipt from my bank, and trip.com customer service contacted him and sorted everything out. But we had a very tense 30-minute wait for the payment issue to be resolved, as we knew our car was in a gated community 4 km away on a narrow mountain road, which we, with three children and five suitcases, couldn't navigate on our own. We tried paying for breakfast and dinner by card transfer. I sent $50 from my bank to the villa owner, but he didn't see the money until the next day, after we'd already left. We paid for our meals by card at a terminal in town at a store the villa owner showed us. He didn't return the $50, citing difficulties with international transfers from a Sri Lankan bank. Following our stay at the villa, the owner recorded and posted reels of us on his Instagram account without asking our permission to post images of us and our children. He happily sent us a WhatsApp link, saying it was a great video. However, we were given a bag of tea from this plantation as a gift."
