The room was a good size and had air conditioning. The window offered a view of a corner of the Rainbow Mountains (p2). The hotel has three floors and is excellent value for money. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from the west gate of the Rainbow Mountains, very convenient. The main sightseeing route from the west gate is Yunhaitai - Jinxiutai - Hongxiatai - Xianyuantai. There are many restaurants within a 10-minute walk of the hotel, which is decent. The service was excellent. When we went to the scenic area in the afternoon, the owner reminded us of the time, such as when to watch the sunset. The next morning at 5:30, when we went to watch the sunrise, the owner even took us to the entrance of the scenic area in a tricycle, worried that we wouldn't have enough time. They were incredibly kind. They also gave us a nice souvenir when we checked out, and the apricots from their shop were delicious! The hotel can also help arrange transportation, but you need to pay for it yourself. Overall, it's a very good hotel.

I don’t pay much attention to how high the standard and luxury are for tourist accommodation. I like an easy-going, interactive and friendly experience, which may be related to each person’s personality. In short, it is a very satisfactory accommodation. First of all, let’s talk about the location. It’s very close to the traffic lights at the entrance of the scenic spot. The elderly and children walk to the ticket gate and work effortlessly. Then we walked to the Eryi Highway. We were tired all the way. When we arrived at the door, the bosses came to help us mention the big and small bags of luggage. The room hotel has no meal. The hall, but the proprietress is also busy before and after helping us to order the meal, the leftover dishes at noon also help to heat, and then enjoy the experience on the beautiful rooftop. Finally, the room, this price is definitely worth it, dry and wet separation, mattress pillows are quite comfortable, not much to say directly above the picture!

To my utter surprise, the most comfortable stay on this trip to Northwest China was actually at the guesthouse I randomly booked at the Rainbow Mountains. With two adults and one child, we booked a room with one double bed and one single bed. The mattresses and pillows were very comfortable, and the overall environment was quiet, so we slept very well. The family room we booked in the city had a noisy air conditioner unit outside the window, so we finally got a good night's sleep here. The hotel was also incredibly close to the scenic area, just a ten-minute walk, perfect for guests wanting to see the sunrise at the Rainbow Mountains. There were also plenty of restaurants nearby.

After comparing several accommodations for my trip to Zhangye Danxia, I chose Kaoshan Daying (Back Mountain Camp). The Starry Sky Yurt was what truly captivated me, and my entire stay exceeded expectations – highly recommended! Location-wise, the camp is right next to the West Gate of the Danxia scenic area, making travel incredibly convenient. No need for roundabout detours; I could step out early in the morning to catch the Danxia sunrise. This fantastic location also saved me a lot of effort when it came to stargazing at night. Now, let's talk about the Starry Sky Yurt. Before I arrived, I was a bit worried about roughing it in a tent out in the wilderness, but my stay completely changed my mind. The yurt was spotlessly clean and tidy, well-ventilated with no strange odors. The bed was soft and comfortable, and despite the large temperature swings in the Gobi Desert between day and night, the interior was well-insulated and never felt cold or damp. The en-suite bathroom was excellent, with 24-hour hot water and a full range of toiletries. It truly offered a luxurious wilderness experience that blended comfort with ambiance, without compromising on daily conveniences. However, the panoramic skylight at the top of the yurt was the real highlight and the biggest surprise of my trip. The camp is far from the city, meaning almost no light pollution. As night fell, the entire sky was unblocked and spread out above me. I didn't even have to step outside into the wind; I could lie in bed and gaze up at the countless stars. The Milky Way stretched clearly across the mountains, with stars so bright and dense – a magnificent night sky rarely seen in the city. Lying there quietly, watching the celestial river flow and listening to the distant Gobi breeze, all my travel fatigue slowly melted away. It was incredibly romantic and healing. The camp's amenities were also very thoughtful. In the evening, you can enjoy a starlit BBQ and hotpot. After dinner, there's a bonfire party. Then, after a stroll, you return to your yurt to continue enjoying the tranquil starry sky. The self-driving parking area is spacious, and RV resupply facilities are comprehensive. The staff were warm and meticulous in their service; they thoughtfully informed me of the best stargazing times and were always on hand to help with any issues. The unique Danxia mountain light show at night, coupled with the vast starry sky, created a multi-layered and stunning view. The special clear-broth suoyang hotpot was authentic and generously portioned, perfect for a hot meal after a day of exploring. Whether you're traveling as a couple or with friends, the Starry Sky Yurt is an exceptionally suitable choice. You can admire the Danxia landforms up close and immerse yourself in lying under the Milky Way – it perfectly combines natural beauty with comfortable accommodation. This is an unmissable gem when visiting Danxia, and I will definitely choose the Starry Sky Yurt again on my next trip to Zhangye.

The hotel is very close to the scenic spot. There is a huge park opposite the house, which is full of flowers. Next to it is the Huidao Zhangye Performing Arts Hall. It is convenient. The boss and his son are very honest and kind to people. The room is also clean. It is worth recommending. There is a balcony on the second floor, where you can lie down You can see the mountain view across from the bed. It’s very unique. I like it.
