Special thanks to Chenchen: Our butler, Chenchen, was genuinely kind and helpful, providing meticulous service with a down-to-earth and diligent attitude. He truly made us feel at home. During our trip to Lugu Lake, Chenchen thoughtfully arranged an afternoon tea for us, choosing a spot with an excellent view. He also took us to discover many interesting places, patiently answered all our questions, and helped us book a fantastic pig-trough boat experience. From our first meeting until check-out, he enthusiastically assisted us with all kinds of matters. His professionalism and dedication left a deep impression on me and my husband, creating many wonderful memories and making our entire stay perfect. Chenchen's devoted efforts deserve high praise from guests. Many thanks to Butler Chenchen for his thoughtful service. In my opinion, the facilities, hygiene, and environment of this hotel at Lugu Lake are truly top-notch, without exaggeration, it's unequivocally the best in my heart. The hotel boasts a unique geographical location, directly facing Goddess Bay of Lugu Lake, enjoying the most captivating scenery of the entire lake area. Opening the window reveals picturesque lake and mountain views; misty mornings and evenings bathed in sunset glow create an immersive ambiance, with every frame captivating the senses. The room design is equally impressive; from the bedding to the overall decor, every detail reveals careful consideration. The bedding is made from premium materials, soft and skin-friendly, providing an extremely comfortable sleep that ensures a restful night and dispels all fatigue. The hotel's overall environment and every detail within the rooms have been meticulously refined – the color temperature of the lighting, the tactile feel of materials, the spatial layout, and even that small corner by the window perfect for quiet contemplation, all exude a restrained yet warm aesthetic, detailed but never contrived. On the service front, every staff member displayed a high level of professionalism, being attentive and considerate while maintaining appropriate boundaries, making guests genuinely feel cared for and at ease. The tour programs offered by the hotel are also outstanding, with well-designed itineraries and diverse, enriching experiences. From lake tours to hiking, boat rides to cultural explorations, each activity ensured an enjoyable return, greatly enhancing the quality of the trip. Even more noteworthy is that the hotel group owns several excellent restaurants, not just within the hotel premises but distributed across various areas of Lugu Lake. The food quality remains consistently high, demonstrating their strong operational capabilities and brand strength. Guests can enjoy their well-prepared or recommended delicious meals in a large part of the scenic area, which is a rare find in a tourist destination. Having traveled and stayed in numerous hotels across the country, I can honestly say that this hotel has reached a top-tier standard in China in my eyes. Whether it's the hardware facilities, environmental ambiance, service details, or the completeness of dining quality and travel experience, it is on par with any excellent hotel I have ever stayed in. It deserves my most sincere praise and high recommendation, was the most pleasant discovery of my Lugu Lake trip, and is my definite recommendation for all friends in the future.

Another absolute gem in Yunnan. The price is relatively affordable and all you get for it is totally worth it. The views outward the hotel lobby is stunning and the decor of the interior is very cozy and fitting. You have a full view of the lake from the front unobstructed. Rooms have everything basic and more. Relatively spacious and decorated very extensively, cozy and comfortable setting and bed. Nice setup in the bathroom area and shower is spacious. Toilet with automated bidet is also nice. For those who like bathing there is a bath with mountainside views and bath salts/supplies given. The AI and automated curtains add a nice touch, though this one is more primitive than xiaodu. Staff were very kind and helpful，offered to drop me off at the bus stop and served dessert at night.

Location of the hotel is perfect for anyone visiting lugu lake. Imagine waking up to the view of the lake and mountains. The hotel is also fairly new with beautiful deco and they have prepared many thoughtful things include disposable towels, disposable bath tub towel, free daily afternoon tea and a short photoshoot. The front desk staff 阿文was also very helpful. A couple of things I wished went better: - breakfast: selection was quite limited and mainly Chinese food. Was not an issue for me as I typically don’t take breakfast. - limited toilet paper: unfortunately my husband and I were down with food poisoning during the trip so the toilet paper quickly became a scarcity. - inconsistent temperature in the shower: the shower on my first night toggled between icy cold and steamy hot even without me adjusting the temperature. Overheard from other guests that they had the same issue as well. The hotel thankfully was able to fix it on my second night. - mattress was too hard, and it felt like I was sleeping directly on the floor… unfortunately the hotel didn’t have an option to add on a topper and it really affected my sleep quality during the two nights we were there. However, preference for a softer mattress is personal. Would have been nice if the hotel has toppers prepared for guests who prefer a softer bed. Overall, it was still a pleasant experience and I’d recommend for anyone visiting lugu lake.

Some hotels give you a five-star experience from the moment you check in, while others start off just okay and then gradually earn their five stars. Qi Man belongs to the latter. To be honest, Qi Man wasn't the hotel I was looking for. Initially, I just wanted to find a highly-rated, clean, and pet-friendly hotel in Lijiang. When I saw Qi Man had the highest rating and best reviews, I booked it. It was only when I was driving there that I realized it wasn't near Lijiang city but rather in Lugu Lake. To my surprise, there was even an entrance fee to stay in Lugu Lake, and I almost turned back. Upon arrival, we couldn't park directly in front of the hotel. Although the hotel provided shuttle service back and forth, it was still quite inconvenient. Also, when I entered the room, there was a smell of smoke from the headboard. However, the hotel staff's service attitude eased my anxiety and frustration, making me willing to stay for one night. If I had left the next day, I probably would have given Qi Man a quite low rating. But on the second day, seeing the scenery of Lugu Lake, the backyard of Qi Man, and the swaying tree shadows, I suddenly felt much better. The staff were friendly, there were many kittens in the backyard, and also fruit trees. The entire hotel design was also thoughtfully done. Because of this, I didn't regret staying for a few days as planned and even extended my stay for a few more days. If I had left on the third day, I would have definitely given Qi Man a five-star rating. Unfortunately, on the fourth day, someone was smoking on the balcony. Qi Man's design is excellent, and the lake views are fantastic. Sitting on the balcony with a coffee, enjoying the cool breeze and the lake and mountain scenery, is pure bliss – but not when you're inhaling second-hand smoke, which also drifts into the room. So, I can't give five stars for hygiene.

This hotel is super close to the lake, just a two-minute walk away. Waking up in the morning and opening the curtains to see the lake, combined with the fresh air, really puts you in a great mood. The hotel lobby is very cozy, and the wooden architecture gives it a very peaceful vibe. The room size was just right, and it was immaculately clean. The staff are also incredibly friendly and always happy to patiently answer any questions. You can even ask the owner for travel tips; they gave us some fantastic recommendations for hidden gems around Lugu Lake. And I have to mention the food! The sour fish soup, a specialty from the chef's hometown, was amazing. The fish was bought and prepared fresh, and the sour, appetizing flavor made me eat several bowls of rice. I'm already planning to come back next summer! 🤪🤪🤪

Facilities: The facilities are excellent, well-maintained, and stylishly minimalist. The room has a smart toilet, and I absolutely loved the scent of the shampoo and shower gel – I'm definitely buying them for home! Our room also had a lovely little courtyard with a tea set, perfect for enjoying a cup of tea. The showerhead was branded, with perfect water temperature and strong pressure. Cleanliness: I'm a bit of a clean freak, and this hotel room was meticulously clean and tidy. I was very impressed. Location: It's right on Lugu Lake, just a few dozen meters' walk to Daloshui Wharf, and very close to where the bus drops you off. Service: This was the highlight! From the moment we got off the bus, we didn't have to carry our luggage once. The staff and owner contacted us beforehand to confirm our itinerary. As soon as we called them after getting off the bus, they immediately drove over to pick us up. The staff member carried our luggage all the way to our room. When we checked out, the owner also drove us to the bus stop and even carried our bags into the bus's luggage compartment. We literally just walked with our hands free! We had a very comfortable stay! I'll definitely come back for a longer visit next time!

Absolutely fantastic! The owner is incredibly welcoming and their service is excellent. They even upgraded our room to a suite for free! The decor is lovely, and it's super clean and hygienic. The views are breathtaking 🫶. The owner provided free pick-up and drop-off for our check-in and outings. Plus, there was delicious breakfast and a thoughtful souvenir. Highly, highly, highly recommend!

Absolutely brilliant hotel. Probably the only place in Lugu lake where foreigners could stay. The young staff have limited English but more than make up for it with their level of service and the translator app. They even set up a groups chat in WeChat just to advise us and ensure we were in touch. Location is great (except for the fact that there’s the road below the hotel) Hotel itself is brilliant. Phenomenal rooms. Great meals. Very personal touch and an ever willing / cheerful / helpful group of very competent youngsters managing. The whole crew looked under 30 but did a great job. Was an absolute pity we only stayed 2 nights. Next time a week at least! Definitely coming back.

I had a wonderful stay at 慕鱼, and I would strongly recommend it to anyone visiting Lugu Lake. The hotel is tastefully designed, with every corner beautifully decorated and thoughtfully curated. I was pleasantly surprised with a free upgrade to a lake-view room, and the room cleanliness was absolutely top-notch. The view is truly stunning — there is an unobstructed, direct view of Lugu Lake, and 蒗放码头 is located right in front of the hotel, making the location incredibly convenient. At night, I could see a sky full of stars directly from my room, which felt truly magical. Every detail in the room felt well considered and intentional. The room was also very comfortable in winter, with floor heating and a Dyson hair dryer, which made a huge difference during the colder days. During afternoon tea time, the hotel served a lovely afternoon tea set, and sitting in the backyard while enjoying the lake view became one of the most relaxing and memorable moments of my entire trip. Upon checkout, the staff thoughtfully prepared breakfast to go and gifted me some souvenirs, which was a very warm and touching gesture. They also helped recommend a reliable driver who took me back to Dali in a comfortable 9-seater car, making the journey smooth and stress-free. The owner is a beautiful and kind lady, and her dog Lucky, an adorable corgi, is an absolute delight. The staff were all genuinely friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout my stay. Overall, 慕鱼 offers beautiful design, breathtaking views, thoughtful service, and a truly relaxing experience. I would absolutely love to return.

The hotel is located on the lakeside not far from the lake area. The balcony faces southeast. We arrived in the afternoon and saw the beautiful scenery of Lugu Lake. Lugu Lake is quiet and beautiful, just like this hotel and the hostess of the hotel. A girl, enthusiastic and sincere. We thought that afternoon tea was just a cup of tea and a few biscuits. But they had 4 kinds of fruits, French fries and chicken nuggets, and the tea was also a local specialty flower tea. It was very attentive at first glance. There were also desserts in the evening. The rice noodles for her breakfast were much better than those in most restaurants. The hotel is clean, well-equipped, and the hot water in the bathtub is sufficient. It adds a lot of color to the trip to Lugu Lake. I look forward to going there again next time.
