Maresme Hotels with Balcony

A short stay for of 2 days was booked with Triip.com for one adult and 2 children under 10, to join us who were booked in a day earlier for three days. Our three day booking was direct with the hotel, half board. The hotel is marked 'adults recommended' and they sure discourage children, by seeking to charge per occupancy rather than simply on a cost per room. The Trip site quite fairly offered the room at the rate for two adults, with children under 12 free, so this is what was paid. Half board was added but at the rate for two adults, which would be greater than the actual hotel rate for one adult and two children, but I was happy to have reserved restaurant secured. Things got messy at check in, the hotel insisting that the room was occupied by three 'persons' as they put it and should therefore be 50% extra, though the room was the same type as the twin we had for two adults. The Hotel also insisted that only breakfast was provided, and tried to argue that the B2B rate from the third party (Trip) was insufficient. I politely pointed out that the discounts provided to third party agents was no concern of the customer, and referred to my booking voucher which clearly stated I had booked a twin room, into which was going 1 adult, two very small children, and that breakfast and dinner was paid for, with the rate for 1 adult being greater than twice the local charge for a child. They were impossible to deal with, and I left the reception angry and upset. I contacted the Trip representative and by that evening it was sorted. Full marks to Trip, zero to the hotel. As for our stay, the hotel is excellent, but with room to improve. Dinner in the Buffet only commences at 8.00, resulting in quite the bunfight if the restaurant is busy. It was on that Thursday, a national holiday, and it was impossible to order wine and beverages after we seated, with a single service person taking orders. We ate our food dry, and finally placed an order for wine and water while eating dessert, some 40 minutes after seating. The same bottleneck occurred the next morning at breakfast, with the four snail paced Nespresso machines totally incapable of dealing with the coffee demands. Worse, all 4 machines overheated and went into 'service mode'. Worse again, these obviously unsuitable barista machines were the only source of hot water for Tea or infusions, but with no seperate hot water dispenser faucet. You had to stand for almost 2 minutes while the machine slowly dispensed through the coffee outlet, a single mug of hot water, to the frustration of the queue behind. This needs sorting, it took ages to get a breakfast beverage every morning, and on the second day I had to return 4 floors to my room and fill my cup from the in room Nespresso maker. I'd advise to bring a travel kettle with you. Otherwise, a fine hotel, but the restaurant problems and discriminatory pricing for children are an issue, so not a hotel for children.

Stayed in the hotel for 2 weeks, got a sweet deal for early booking. Got a free upgrade for my room upon arrival (with a terrace and a bathtub inside, though the latter would actually be a downgrade in my books since it emitted sewer smell almost everyday without me using it). Overall would recommend, nice staff, close to Callela station and the beach, hotel provides free beach umbrellas to borrow but beach towels are for a fee of 5 euros. Had breakfasts and dinners which were nice, always a couple of options of fish and meat at dinners (but drinks are paid).

The hotel has its own boutique supermarket which is very convenient for shopping and parking is free The restaurant used to be good, but the last time I went there because of a change of chefs, I felt that my level has dropped a lot. The hotel rooms and bath products are very good. Open the balcony door and go out to the swimming pool. The swimming pool is not big but it is better than you can see the sea.

Neat hotel, nice room, good location. I was there in July, but what I missed was a blanket on the bed; there was only a sheet on the bed and no blanket in the closet either. I told them the next day that you have to ask for a blanket at the reception desk. I found that odd, and now I was unnecessarily cold, which wasn't necessary. The breakfast was excellent, and you can also visit the spa for €12 per person.

My pillows stank of sweat I had to use a T-shirt as a case. Couldn’t get the safe to work, couldn’t get the phone to work. The pool was very cold, could have been heated. Positives, food was great, amenities for families is good. Nice pool bar which provided drinks and food. Also nice play area near the bar. receptionists could have been a bit more friendlier

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The apartments were modern, clean, and well-equipped, with a convenient kitchen and everything needed for a comfortable stay. The hotel has three swimming pools, which was a great bonus. The location is excellent! only a 5-minute walk to the railway station and about 5 minutes to the beach. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and welcoming. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers

What We Liked: Family-Oriented Vibe: A fantastic atmosphere for traveling with children. Great Pools & Water Park: The nice pools and the small water park were a big hit and kept the kids entertained. Friendly Staff: The team members were welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. What Needs Improvement / What We Didn’t Like: Apartment Building Quality: The apartment buildings felt isolated from the main hotel area and appeared quite outdated. The decor felt old-fashioned, making it feel more like a basic apartment rental rather than a hotel experience. Short Breakfast Window: For families who need time to wake up and get ready, the breakfast time window is simply too short. It is not long enough to comfortably catch breakfast with kids. No Housekeeping or Towel Replacements: During our 4-night stay, the rooms were never cleaned once, and towels were never replaced. Lack of Variety at Dinner: The dinner buffet lacked variety, and the dishes were frequently repeated night after night.

Apartment hotel is quite aged , simple design and basic facilities that can accommodate the needs of a family, has little kitchen with fridge and to! Room just bed and small wardrobe, not luggage racks or other furniture. Bathroom was big enough and very simple ! But I think so appropriate for the receptionist guy who is professional and so polite to us for helping everything that we asked for , even thought checking out the timetable schedule for us when the airport bus to Barcelona airport to make sure we didn’t miss the bus! Our room had a great ocean view and it was such a relief to open the balcony doors every morning. The overall facilities of the hotel really need to be updated and improved, the service staff is very friendly, and the food is basically okay. The sound of music will be around 11.30 every night, which is not very friendly for those who are used to going to bed early. For what I paid for the room, I couldn't ask for more. Overall satisfied.
