The establishment features comfortable, spacious, and stylish rooms with cozy decor and excellent bedding, renowned for its cleanliness and superb coastal location. However, guests find it overpriced, particularly the meals and services, and the value does not match the cost.

Had a lovely 1 night stay in the Salthouse with a group of friends. We had a twin and a triple room. The rooms were lovely and clean a credit to the housekeepers. We had a lovely meal in the LookOut restuarant and the staff were so nice and nothing was a bother to them. The views are stunning and the weather made it perfect. All staff was so lovely and nothing a bother to any of them!

Had a lovely couple of days at Salthouse, mainly eating delicious food & watching the changing sky & view. All our meals were delicious, with an excellent gluten free selection. We enjoyed a treatment in the spa, then sat in the outside jacuzzi, in the rain, wind & sun. The view was spectacular. All the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, room was large with really comfy bed.

This hotel is beautiful and in a wonderful setting .The staff are welcoming , friendly and attentive. However the entire experience was let down by the food . The evening meal was bland and tasteless and the breakfast while plentiful was mediocre. On the basis of the food I would not stay at this exceptional setting again

Amazing Hotel, our stay was first class.. The Staff were excellent and most helpful in fact they are the best I have came across, from the house keepers, restaurants/bar staff to the ladies in the spa. Also making the trip even more enjoyable was the great gluten free options in the restaurant for those who have celiac or gluten intolerant.

Have been staying here for over four years now as well as bringing the family for Sunday lunches and celebratory meals. Last Christmas the family gave us vouchers for this hotel as they knew we liked it so much. My partner and I used some of them when we came in January for his birthday and we booked this stay to use up the remainder. We arrived before three but were checked in and pleased to be given our room right away. We had booked a serene king room which cost £210. We were disappointed that there were a number of issues with the room when we arrived. There was a short curly hair in the sink, the toilet bowl was heavily stained at the base and the wall flusher for the WC was stuck with water constantly flowing when we came into the room and continued to stick throughout our stay meaning at times unless released it was difficult to flush. I didn’t want to make a fuss so said nothing though my partner did speak to reception later and although the fella took note of issues no apology or alternative room was ever offered. We noticed the menu in restaurant is now very expensive (beef fillet £46 and other mains around £30 with sides extra) and ate in the Lookout as several people sitting nearby were commenting that the food was not as good as it used to be. On checking out this morning we spent twenty minutes while the receptionist had a problem with two of our four vouchers. Both were originals issued by the hotel. This was embarrassing as we were keeping others waiting. The other receptionist had to go away as she was dealing with a cold shower issue and we heard a lady voicing her complaint that she had spoken to reception yesterday to explain she could not get an earlier appointment in spa but did not think that 30 minutes extra in the room warranted an extra £40 charge. The voucher eventually went through when the girl took over processing them. Strangely before it did she needed me to confirm who purchased one of them. At no time were we offered any proper explanation or apology for the delay. We will not be hurrying back although we still have money left on one of the vouchers.

The food was very underwhelming!! Main course overly salty. Breakfast disappointing, yogurt and fruit salad were luke warm. Scrambled egg over cooked dry and tasteless and presentation very poor. For a beautiful hotel in a wonderful setting the food is definitely letting them down. Disappointed ☹️

This is a review for a restaurant as I haven’t stayed as a guest. Firstly during daylight, the view is breathtaking - I have eaten in the main Salthouse restaurant three times now - by invitation for birthday/anniversary etc - and while the view is utterly stunning and the staff so sweet, the food is just not great and very overpriced. In my visits I’ve had the club sandwich which is fine, the salad which is ok but too expensive for what it is, the chilli chicken starter which is utterly inedible and the burger which is dry, tasteless and boring. If coming to this restaurant I would recommend - instead of a disappointing meal, having a coffee and bun or a fabulous cocktail. The staff are lovely and attentive, the view is utterly sublime and the hotel is decorated to perfection but the food is bland and not worth the price.

The suite was very spacious, comfortable and had all the amenities at your disposal. The area is ideal and has an excellent view of the North Antrim coast...particularly from the hot tubs at the spa. The service is second to none. Highly recommended...….
