Booked in to a Premier Plus and simply was conned! The room was dirty, the air con was faulty and the latches on the window were coming off so all in all it had the air of apathy. Despite having Premier Plus, the room was supposed to have certain extras such as better Wi-Fi ( nope) and bottled water and coffee pods etc. The cleaner obviously thought it didn’t matter to stock and clean the room so it resembled a good example of their apathetic staff only exemplified by the reception staff who were clueless and indifferent. Add the overall look of the place, the awful location, lack of local amenities then possibly prison is a better option- a dump!! Front of house staff are useless and have no intention of helping, Lingering fish smell throughout the restaurant, if you can call it that after climbing over food all over the floors, then got told there was no hot food and gave a pathetic excuse that the chef hadn’t turned up, this happened on my previous stay just a week before. Avoid if possible!!!

This Premier inn is located in the town centre. We visited the town and decided to stay over in Barnsley. The rooms are clean and everything you need is there. The local town centre shops pubs and restaurants are only a short walk away from the hotel. Didn’t eat there so I can’t comment on the food. We ate in the many cafes and restaurants in the centre of town. I would stay again if needed.

I stay here quite often and I have never had a bad stay. The staff are always friendly and helpful whenever they are needed. The rooms are your typical Premjer Inn. I stayed when it was quite warm outside and the Aircon was a blessing. Had a couple of nice breakfasts too while there.

The customer service is incredible, the rooms are clean and the beds are very comfortable. I especially thank the man who greeting me at noon on May 13th. I can't thank you enough for your kindness and consideration, you are incredible at your job and made my world a better place.

Stayed at premier inn for a couple of nights due to work in the area thought I would have a breakfast oh no got told no chef again it’s getting a joke now no staff on reception again either ran bye muppets come on premier inn wake up dirty rooms staff don’t want to be there very poor no managers about got no bulb in my light hot and cold water coming from shower very noisy

Arrived slightly early was greeted exceptionally well . Nothing too much trouble and even allowed in to ours rooms early. Rooms very clean, beds comfortable and a great location. We always stay here as so close to all amenities. We fully recommend this premier Inn.

Lovely staff, very friendly and helpful, would definitely recommend. Hotel located centrally with cheap parking at only £5 for 24 hour. Arrived before the check in time and they kindly went above and beyond by checking me and the family in early.

This is our fifth year staying in the hotel and each time we have been looked after so well by all staff. James on reception has always stood out for his efficiency, warmth, charm and sense of humour. This visit, this was added to by Kyle and Leo in the restaurant and bar who provided excellent service and responded to our specific needs without hesitation. We look forward to seeing the same staff thriving in their jobs next year.

Positives - friendly staff, comfortable bed and pillows, clean and tidy, the breakfast was very good. Negatives - I found the room above me to be very noisy, especially on a Saturday night, just then moving about echoed very loudly into my room. The lamp didn't work on my desk and the art work had a retouch my someone. Overall the stay was ok, I would possibly stay here again if I could get on the top floor
