This is a perfect place to stay in Bayeux! It’s a beautiful property, with very clean rooms, and comfortable beds. The staff made us feel like family. My mom enjoyed a glass of champagne each evening in the sitting room- it was a wonderful way to end a busy day of sightseeing!! Most of the attractions are within walking distance of this hotel. We also really enjoyed Gloria- the resident pup!

Wonderful, well situated hotel in a charming former hunting lodge. The hotel staff is superb, they make you feel like family! They also speak very good English. Much more of a B&B experience versus a hotel. We stayed in their biggest room with a king and separate twin beds as we had 5 people in a room. The hotel is walking distance to everything - on Saturday there was a bustling market right across the street. There was a large supermarket within walking distance too. We did do their daily breakfast option and it was scrambled eggs, American style bacon and sausage with pastries, breads and yogurt, juices, coffee and teas. Very on par with what Americans would expect from a continental hot breakfast. You’ll also be greeted by Gloria the house dog! One thing to consider: we were there during a heatwave and there is no air conditioning (it’s a historic building!) if this is important to you and you are going during the summer, I would say to stay somewhere else. We had ample fans, but it was hot for us Americans! This was our only downside. The other downside is their beds were not the most comfortable. Overall, the good exceeded the “bad” with this hotel and it was one of our favorite parts of our trip! We would recommend to anyone staying in Bayeux!

This hotel was an excellent base for exploring the D-Day landing beaches and surrounding historic sites. Its location also made it easy to visit the beautiful Bayeux Cathedral and enjoy everything the charming town of Bayeux has to offer. Being able to walk to many of the area's attractions was a real convenience and made our stay even more enjoyable. What truly made our experience memorable, however, was the exceptional staff. Lisa was especially welcoming and went above and beyond to ensure we had a wonderful visit. It was a pleasure meeting her and having the opportunity to discuss the region with a fellow North American. She provided excellent recommendations for local restaurants, attractions, and places to explore, which helped us make the most of our time in the area. Her friendly personality and local knowledge were greatly appreciated. We also had the pleasure of meeting Gloria on several occasions. She added to the hotel's inviting atmosphere. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable, well-located place to stay while visiting Bayeux and the D-Day region.

Great location as a base for exploring Normandy and the D-Day invasion sites. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms are clean and comfortable but not large and they are without air conditioning. So, a hot summer day could be an issue. We stayed in the “garden rooms” outside the main hotel building and there was no elevator. We were given rooms on the third floor and lugging the luggage up three flights was not enjoyable at all for this 78 year old. Nice breakfast but not provided with room. Current cost is about 14 euro per person. Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay. It was my second time to stay here and would definitely return again.

The main road is just outside the hotel driveway. Numerous restaurants 10-15 minutes away. Eva and other staff very helpful. If we come back we’d stay here again

We stayed as a family group in two rooms for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel is original and beautiful, and has parking at the back which is convenient. The staff are also very warm and welcoming and speak perfect English. Gloria the dog is a lovely addition to the team 🩷 This is an original building. This means there are stairs, lack of plug sockets, not amazing water pressure and of course, no air con. None of this detracted from our stay but it might take some adjusting for some guests. You need to be able to manage your own luggage up and down the stairs. We were grateful for the provided fans and combined with the lovely breeze, were comfortable overnight. Our (lovely, large!) bed was on the firm side, but fine. We couldn’t all charge our phones by our beds overnight but wasn’t a big deal for us. There is no coffee or tea maker in the rooms. I am sure this is because it would be too much for the electrics in the building. Again, no biggie (but I did miss my cuppa while getting ready for breakfast - at least it got me up and out quickly 😋). We were very grateful for the eggs provided for my husband who couldn’t eat the scrambled egg or the sausages due to intolerances (often a challenge for us in France). Bayeux is a gorgeous town and a perfect spot for exploring Normandy. You won’t regret staying here!

Want a well located charmer, this is the one. Luxurious, no, but everything you could want as a “base” property for a visit to St Mon Saint Michel & the D-Day beaches. Bayeux is a delight & this property is so well located. A historic property, renovated chateau- that means updated but not luxurious, ease into the charm & you won’t be disappointed. Smallish rooms, but clean, updated bathrooms. Breakfast room, lovely & breakfast offerings, well above average. Relax after a day of tours with a glass of wine (or 2), served with a smile. All of Bayeux at your doorstep. A staff that will make you smile, kind and accommodating.

This hotel is owner managed and has retained the charm of good old fashioned personal service. When we arrived, we were greeted by the friendly staff who brought us to our room. Our double room was cosy and comfortable with all the mod cons and good wifi. Breakfast at the hotel in the lovely dining room included both cooked and cold items, fruit, yogurt, cereal, sweets and good coffee and tea. Evenings at the hotel was an opportunity to mix with other guests for drinks at reasonable prices. The reception staff were always happy to help with information, bookings for taxis and restaurant reservations. All in, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this exceptional hotel.
