Hotel Bendinat in Mallorca is one of those rare gems that feels like a home away from home. Having stayed here multiple times over the years, I can confidently say that it offers a perfect blend of understated luxury, Mediterranean charm, and tranquility. The location is simply unbeatable—perched right on the coastline, with stunning views of the turquoise waters of the Bay of Palma. Waking up to the sound of the waves and having breakfast on the terrace overlooking the sea is something I look forward to every time I visit. The hotel’s lush gardens, with their towering palm trees and cozy lounge areas, create an atmosphere of total relaxation. The rooms are elegantly designed in a classic Mediterranean style, with whitewashed walls, wooden accents, and large windows that let in plenty of natural light. Many of them come with private terraces, perfect for unwinding with a glass of wine in the evening. While the décor is timeless, the hotel has managed to maintain a fresh and well-kept feel over the years. One of the highlights of every stay is dining at Las Terrazas de Bendinat, the hotel’s restaurant. Sitting right by the sea, it offers some of the best seafood dishes on the island. Their paella and grilled fish are a must-try, and the service is always warm and attentive. There’s nothing quite like enjoying a long, leisurely lunch with a view of the shimmering water. Wow, where to begin. My husband and I brought our 3 year old to Mallorca after moving half way across the world. It was our first break from craziness in a year, and we were lured by the direct flight from our city to visit Mallorca for a week after Christmas.  I found the Elba Sunset after doing a bit of research on where to stay on the island. First, and most importantly, I want to say an immeasurable thank you to the entire staff of the Elba. When I say, I could not have imagined how relaxing, joyful, kind, thoughtful, and generous the staff of this establishment could be, I mean it. They are all truly, truly amazing. (Apologies in advance if names are spelled incorrectly!).I specifically want to thank Marta, Elise, Adrian, Christiane, Henry, Paula, Pedro, the whole cleaning staff, and truly every person I encountered there, for making this vacation, one we really desperately needed, so wonderful. Our son Hugo was embraced and coddled by everyone he met, and was completely accepted and showered with love wherever we went in the hotel. Speaking of the hotel. We were there in the off season, and I cannot recommend it enough. The stunning location, the sun, the bright spacious room with a beautiful sea view, the pool (albeit freezing...not that my husband and son cared!), the spa, and the restaurant overlooking the water. 100 out of 10 for the people who make the Elba Sunset the magical place that it is. It was a great hotel with bright and spacious rooms and a terrace overlooking the sea. Breakfast 10 points delicious and the staff was helpful to provide clear and clear instructions to us where to park, when we had a leak in the room told them, thanked them immediately as helped us change to another room. And the facilities of the hotel are also very good, in addition to its own swimming pool only a few steps to the small rocky beach can be used for snorkeling, the view of the room is really beautiful, will stay again if I have the opportunity.

Hotel looks amazing from first impressions but the rooms need much improvement. Very dated and worn. Cleanliness wasn’t the best our room had so many ants and the towels were raggy and old. The hotel has a lovely aesthetic in communal areas and the pool area is lovely too always was plenty of sunbeds available during our stay

The hotel is located in the beautiful district of Santa Ponsa - mountains, greenery, sea. The rooms are spacious and have a balcony. Quiet area (you can sleep at night). The hotel has two swimming pools - one for adults and one for children, and there is animation. You can walk to the beach in 15-17 minutes. There are shops and cafes nearby. Of the minuses: no coffee machine 🥲 Payment on site/in cafes only by card. The bed linen smelled damp. If you leave the room, the refrigerator stops working (so ask for a second magnetic card, otherwise the food in the refrigerator will spoil).

The hotel is in a good location, it is easy to find by car navigation, but the hotel does not have free parking spaces, there is a public parking lot nearby, you can park at night. The scale of the hotel is quite large, there are many rooms, and the health is not bad. Stay here next time.

Le personnel est très sympathique. Les chambres sont spacieuses avec tout le nécessaire. Les différents espaces piscines sont top. Parcours mini golf , billard, beach volley, vraiment tout le nécessaire pour passer de bonnes vacances. Proche du centre, à 5mins à pieds. Je recommande vraiment cet hôtel pour un très bon service sans avoir à dépenser un budget faramineux.

Honestly, we were very excited before arriving at this hotel, but after checking in, we found that the facilities were not what we had expected. The entertainment options were very limited. Apart from the children’s water slides and having a drink at the bar in the evening, there was very little else to do. We booked the All Inclusive package, but unfortunately the food quality was quite average. Many dishes lacked flavour and were rather bland. Although the food looked appealing and well presented at first glance, the actual taste was very disappointing. Most dishes were flavourless and lacked proper seasoning. The cooking quality was poor, and many items seemed badly prepared. For example, the French fries and hash browns were consistently soggy and soft rather than crispy, making them unpleasant to eat. The food may look good on display, but unfortunately it did not match the taste or quality we expected from an All Inclusive hotel. What disappointed us most was the restaurant service. During a meal of approximately one hour, not a single staff member came to clear our plates. We constantly had to rearrange our table ourselves in order to make space for the next course. The children’s pool area is also misleading. The pool with the slides is extremely shallow and not suitable for adults who want to swim. To use another swimming pool, guests are required to pay an additional €30. As a result, our family could not really enjoy the pool facilities together, as only the children could use the slides while the adults had nowhere suitable to swim. The reception service was also disappointing. In particular, one staff member named Andrew (or a similar name) never once smiled or appeared welcoming during our three-day stay. We passed through reception many times and asked for information on several occasions, yet he always seemed unfriendly and uninterested. This significantly affected our overall impression of the hotel. On a positive note, the room cleanliness was acceptable. However, we were surprised that no proper duvet or blanket was provided. Even though we travelled in June, the nights were still quite cool, and it was difficult to sleep comfortably with only a thin bedsheet. A proper blanket should be a basic amenity for guests. Overall, this hotel did not meet our expectations, especially considering the price paid for an All Inclusive stay. There is certainly room for improvement in the food quality, restaurant service, facilities, and customer service.

This is our 2nd trip to this hotel. It’s now on a B&B only ( we had half board last year) with the breakfast served across the road in a restaurant with the best views across the bay! Great selection of food and drinks.  The man on reception is super helpful and friendly even at 11.45pm!  Lovely small hotel with a small pool Comfy beds and the balcony is spacious with an area to dry towels etc.  The hotel offers towels for rent but we bought one for €5 in the supermarket next door.  Cleaned every day and cleaned well.  Lots of restaurants and shops close by.  The fabulous beach is a 10minute stroll, with a massive supply of sun beds ( €20.50 a day for 2 beds under a fixed umbrella and an attached safety box)  We will definitely go back to Playas del Rey

This was a very mediocre hotel, especially considering the price of over £700 for two rooms for two nights. The rooms were tiny, not particularly clean, and we even found small ants, which was a big turn-off. On the positive side, the lady at the front desk was exceptionally friendly and polite. While the exterior looked quite appealing, the interior was very run-of-the-mill. All in all, it was arguably the worst hotel I've stayed at in Spain.
