Beach Hotels in Manche

The hotel is about a five-minute walk from the train station. There are many crepe shops nearby, but since most people stop there to see Mont Saint-Michel, it's recommended to make reservations for popular restaurants in advance. Getting to Mont Saint-Michel from here requires a bus ride of about twenty minutes. The hotel reception has a bus timetable; just ask the staff. Because it's an older building, the floors and stairs are carpeted, so guests with mobility issues should be careful. The small courtyard is lovely; you can dine there on a nice day. The staff are very polite, speak fluent English, and are happy to help. I forgot to take pictures of the room, but it was very clean and overlooks the courtyard. There's nothing particularly outstanding, but it's excellent value for money for a one- or two-night stay.

The hotel's location is excellent, making it very convenient to take the free bus to Mont Saint-Michel. Facilities: Quite new, seems recently renovated. Environment: Very good, you can get great photos right outside. Just a heads-up, none of the hotels on Mont Saint-Michel have elevators.

The location is the best. It's the first hotel before the bridge to Mont Saint-Michel and the shuttle bus service that takes you there is just outside the hotel. This room on the first floor had a view of barrage, it's clean and functional, but looks really tired and dated. The room is really warm with the flat roof structure outside the windows trapping all the heat. We had 2 furbabies and it was great the hotel is pet friendly. Dinner with the halfboard option was pretty good but our preferred choice was not available due to a large tour group having dined before us. Breakfast had a good spread, with a splendid view of Mont Saint-Michel. It's really pricey for what it is.

Hotel is conveniently located near Mont Saint Michel where you could hop on the shuttle to the Mont. You could even view the Mont from right outside the hotel. Staff was polite as well. However, the room is just a small basic room with limited amenities - few charging ports, no toothpaste or toothbrush.

This place is in a really good location and easy to find. Travel light though as there are no lifts and narrow staircases to carry your luggage. As most old places in Europe there is no air conditioning, so be prepared. You needed to step over the bath to shower so take that into consideration too. Our room was clean and had a small refrigerator, bonus in Europe. The restaurant has a good menu and drink selection. English is spoken, if required. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Not much to say … only good stuff! Nice welcome at reception when we checked in earlier than planned. We got touristic advice to go around and they kept our big suitcases. We unfortunately didn’t get parking as they were full.. all reserved (NB: trip.com never discussed that we had to book the parking, this is something Accor and Trip.com should discuss about as this is now our 2nd encounter of this problem…. Coming from Malaysia and renting a car, this is not helping… we had no idea we had to reserve parking) The bedroom was very nice, pretty balcony but small bathroom… especially given the placement of the toilet…. lol. But never mind. Nice deck of the bedroom and the hotel too… themed on Christian Dior and fashion, we liked that ☺️ Last the breakfast and its location: beautiful. The view of the sea is really good, the furniture is nicely chosen, and the food is good. First time I see a « make your sunny side up eggs yourself » set in a hotel, which was cool.

Next to the nearby free shuttle to Mont saint Michel which was very helpful and easy to commute too. The only problem is that to check in you have to go to another hotel which can be a bit of a hassle if you arrive early as well as once you check in at the other hotel which is one stop on the shuttle bus you can only leave your bags at the hotel instead of le saint aubert. Overall an okay experience and the lady working the breakfast buffet was nice enough to warm up my food 😊. (The picture is an image of one of the bus stops for the free bus shuttle)

Love staying at La mere poulard. Love everything but the flies which I think it’s hard to get rid of due to the location. It was beautiful otherwise. Breakfast was yummy. Just go early like 8 or 9 am And be grateful… make sure to greet the staff and say thank you. It’s the other way around in Europe just to have your manners. Learn Bonjour and merci … it will make a big difference!!!!
