I was always told the Hotel Le Cep was the best in Beaune. We stayed there for three nights (March 30, March 31 & April 1). Other than the location, it was tired at best. Furnishings and linens were just acceptable, but not up to a luxury standard. Additionally, the staff were responsive but not welcoming. An example, I used there Valet Parking that was available at their entrance. Each time I returned to the hotel I was requested to drive around back to their parking lot which defeats the purpose of valet parking. another dissatisfaction was that they have refused to honor my Hilton Honors card and credit me with the appropriate points for my stay. Their excuse was I used their website and not Hilton's to make the reservation. We chose the hotel because of the Hilton connection. Our next hotel in Paris was also a Small Luxury Hotel property and had no problem crediting my Hilton Honors points. The Hotel Le Cep was just trying to find a way to be frugal (probably a generous word) at the expense of the customer. Another example was how they presented breakfast. We were charged for a full breakfast each day because we ordered eggs. I thought breakfast was included but they claimed it was only a continental breakfast of coffee and a roll. This was never explained and left a bad taste in our mouths.
