Riviera beach hotel in Benidorm where we recently spent a 10 day full board stay. In our room (601) over the first few day we discovered the following defects: The toilet seat was very loose, the handle inside the shower door was broken, leaving a sharp edge.The door stop on the floor was loose, showing the screws not screwed into the floor.The main door into our room kept sticking on the top of the door at the fire door closing point, the hinge kept dropping not allowing the door to open fully, (The cleaner also experienced the same issue) To top all this came the ants! On the Tuesday morning at breakfast we noticed ants running along the table where the microwave, tea/coffee making facilities were kept (videos taken). we reported this to a waitress and was told that it would be sorted out, only to find the same issue on the Thursday with the ants in the same area which was very off putting and we felt that we could no longer eat our meals in the hotel, so had the remaining days of our holiday eating out ( even though we had paid for full board) We did actually leave a note for the manager about our room defects, which were rectified the same day, but I still fell that our room should not of been available with these issues. The manager actually called us into her office on the day before we were due to return home to discuss the defects ( I can’t understand why she left it so late?) but as for the ant situation, she just said it couldn’t be helped because of the warm climate ( we have been to many other “warm climates” with no issues like this before)
