Hotel Servigroup Calypso

Close to the beach, the position is good.

We stayed here for a long weekend , spotlessly clean thru out , friendly , polite and professional staff , food was buffets , from breakfast to evening meals , with plenty of choice to cater for all tastes , rooms on the smallish side but saying that enough room to relax and get ready , beds really comfy and made up everyday with fresh n clean bedding ,

Had a great 11 night stay. Our room was 1002 which was at the back overlooking the pool and mountains. We had 2 double beds and a large balcony. There was plenty of storage and the shower was hot and powerful. The room was dated with textured walls and needed a deep clean ( skirting boards) but overall it was great. The lack of a kettle in the room and no sun on the balcony are probably our only criticism. The buffet food was good and varied - the show cooking meat was always cooked to perfection and very flavoursome. Staff were friendly and very efficient when clearing tables - maybe too quick sometimes. The Xmas and New year Gala meals were not to our taste so we declined them - would have preferred a buffet option rather than a set menu. Breakfast as always was the best meal of the day - however they do not offer omelette at breakfast which was disappointing ( they tend to be available for lunch and dinner- vegetarian?) We didn't stay in for the entertainment so cannot comment. The terrace bar is a lovely spot to sit in the sun and enjoy a drink. Reception staff were very friendly and check in was very quick. The lifts are quite small and had a few issues whilst we were there - but they were fixed quickly and we never waited too long for one. The pool area is a good size and we spent a few hours most mornings enjoying the sunny corner spot before the sun dipped behind the Flash hotel ( bear in mind it was Xmas). We were lucky with the weather but definitely needed a light jacket in the evenings when outside. For location and value for money it is a fabulous hotel. I preferred it to the Don Pancho and would definitely stay at The Calypso again.

Having just arrived back from a weekend trip away for the wife’s 30th we both couldn’t fault the hotel at all . On arrival we were given our room straight away along with 2 complimentary drinks which we thought was a lovely touch . When we entered the room it was spotless and on the bed there was 2 beach bags another lovely touch . Despite its location being close to Morgan’s bar we couldn’t complain about the noise keeping us awake the only thing I could pick fault with if anything was only having 1 pillow which I’m sure if I asked at reception we’d of been given another one . Breakfast was brilliant with a wide variety of both hot and cold food along with hot and cold drinks . The terrace bar on the front was clean and friendly . On the Saturday there was a dj poolside playing music giving it a really good and enjoyable vibe with plenty of sunbeds and a pool bar that did snacks and drinks all reasonably priced . Overall our stay at calypso was perfect and we would definitely stay again

Room lovely and clean. Cleaners do a very good job and even tidied my items up for me. Reception staff polite and friendly and the hotel was spotless. Food on the evening was great and the meat was great quality. VERY GOOD AIR CON 🥶 It’s 1 min away from the start of the strip/bars, and about 5 mins from the beach 🏖️ My only suggestion would be to give the single rooms an additional towel, I found I was reusing mine until the cleaner replaced the next day. When you’re on holiday you tend to have more showers than at home. Would definitely stay again. I don’t usually review but this hotel deserves it. Thank you.
