Hotel Neptuno by on Group ★★★★

📍 P.º Central, 45, Roquetas de Mar

"The hotel is disrespectful to tourists and a scam to put it in a decent way. I made a reservation in a sea view room with half board, that is, with dinner included, I paid 1800 cup (daily) for said half board and what they gave me (looking at the prices of those same dishes in the restaurant) did not reach 600 cup . Where are the remaining 1200 cups of what I paid? The elevator (only one of the four existing ones works) was out of service due to the negligence of a maintenance worker who forgot to remove the motor from the water and the elevator filled with water when the tanks were launched; It took three days for them to extract the water from the elevator and after two days after removing the water they had not even opened the elevator to do the electricity tests and put it into operation. Even so, the maintenance manager has the luxury of not going to work on Saturdays or Sundays. Many tourists protesting without the slightest attention being paid to their complaints ended up leaving the facility. I left the facility on Sunday afternoon when my departure was on Wednesday, since I had paid until Wednesday because I am suffering from a sciatic nerve crisis and it was impossible for me to continue going down and up the stairs to the seventh floor. Needless to say, there's no way to get the money back. The hotel manager did not show his face at any time, speaking of the few times he is in the facility. ALERT AND I DO NOT RECOMMEND THAT HOTEL TO ANYONE, unless they want to be scammed, mistreated and spend the most horrible days of their lives."

Hotel AR Golf Almerimar ★★★★★

📍 Avda. Almerimar, sn. Urb. Almerimar, Almerimar, El Ejido

"The hotel is really nice overall. The rooms are really spacious (we had a suite) and the bed is super comfy. The pool area and hotel itself is really clean. The food is lovely, not much negatives about the food (we were all inclusive which was decided when we arrived just as there’s nothing about in the area really) The only down side to the stay is there is no kettle in the rooms so no coffee/tea in the mornings etc which is pretty basic, but the biggest down part tk this is we couldn’t sterilise the bottles for our baby which we would do with a kettle usually so we had to keep going up and down to reception for boiling water. It was such a faff. There was also only one mirror in the room above the sinks in the bathroom, so no long view mirror or mirror over say the dressing table. This was slightly annoying along with there only being one plug about 10ft away from the mirror so you can’t get close to dry your hair and see what you’re doing. There’s also no iron so to have anything ironed you have to ask housekeeping who then charge. Also, there’s a nightclub to the left of the hotel so if you’re staying that end which we were, and you leave your balcony door open in the night, you will hear all the music and people leaving around 5:30/6. If the doors shut you don’t hear any of it but we liked the door open instead of the air on being on in the night. Everything else was just petty stuff we picked up on, I.e uncomfortable loungers, no air on in the main reception area, very little English spoken by staff I wouldn’t say this hotel is a 5 star at all but it was nice nevertheless. 📍 C. Jose María Rossell, 2, Roquetas de Mar

"Holiday was a sham from day 1, holiday cost £750 all inclusive with flights but wasnt aware that the transfers would cost £440. Total joke, so be careful when booking. Hotel bar and animation team very nice, but I'm with a child of 11 and we are not related and yet we are expected to share a double bed. Asked reception hit no way of changing this, absolutely disgusted. Very disappointed. Won't be back."

"Not the most salubrious hotel but they do great salads and a fair choice of food which we enjoyed at every meal. The animation team were great and had lots of fun games for us to play. All in all we enjoyed our holiday in this basic hotel and we would go back."

"Stayed at hotel.trinidad for 1 week spacious rooms lots of variety food to choose from!! staff were excellent. Only downside to this hotell is all Spanish people!! hotel.trinidad cater for the spanish more than the english spanish. Stay here may/june/July/august not many English we only seen l.couple all week we were there!!!here can get lonely if ur a couple 2 pools with bar . Entertainment at night is in Spanish talking karaoke/bingo singers!! We were all inclusive but ventured out most night to english bar lillys bar due to not understanding Spanish!! not much to do outside the resort only a few shops and restaurants Beach was shingal beach lots of stones on top of sand so wear sandles. But nice and big beach deckchairs are £6 euros to.hire on.beach if the entertainment was more english it would of been a good holiday that's the only downside to going to this hotel.."

B&B Hotel Almería Vicar ★★
"The hotel is basically part of a truck stop on the motorway to Malaga; it is 3 km to Vicar. There are numerous shops and petrol stations with which the hotel shares a car park. A ramp leads to another car park, which is also public. The hotel itself can only be reached via an elevator. Another elevator leads to the rooms. There is a fully automatic coffee machine in the lounge for free coffee. The rooms are not particularly big, and there is no bedside table. I did not use room service and was given breakfast instead. I was pleased with the fuet at breakfast, which I was able to enjoy for the first time on this trip. Apart from that, it was just normal budget food and no hot meals. The air conditioning was somehow switched to cold. After complaining, it got warmer again. The current temperature is not displayed."

Hotel AR Golf Almerimar ★★★★★
"After reading the negatives reviews, we felt we needed to write our own review. When arriving at the hotel, the surroundings were beautiful and the hotel looked appealing. The entrance was stunning and tastefully decorated. Most staff members spoke limited English but they tried their best. The house keeper even resorted to google translate to ensure our needs were adhered to. On entering our room, we were amazed at how spacious it was and we had a view on the pool. The lunch menu was good and the evening meal had lots of choice. Each night there is a different theme and all were delicious! If you come as a family, the is a kids club throughout the day and you can feel safe in the vicinity of the hotel. The pool is a great size and has a shallow end and a deep end where you dive in. If you are wanting a relaxing holiday, then this is definitely for you. There is a marina, across road and to the right of the hotel. This comprises of lovely restaurants and little shops to look round. Please be aware they close between the hours of 2-5pm for Spanish siesta time. We had a fantastic stay here and we highly recommend you visit. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️ "

"Great pool area, food overall was good, not always hot or edible. Some staff were good, others were not! So it is just pot luck who you get at reception or at the bar etc We had cold water in our Suites 4 days out of 7! £2000 for 2 rooms for a week which is not acceptable. There was an issue with my online booking when I attempted to upgrade our booking just days before we arrived, the systems algorithm changed the dates which I didn’t realise until we arrived. Only 1 member of the reception staff tried to help…. Others didn’t care… But they could not resolve it with Reservations so I had no choice but to pay another £2000 to stay for 1 week, still trying to get a refund for the original online booking! So far 1 week has cost me £5000… not worth it! Customer service is not their priority maybe because we are from the Uk?! Night before we came home, we moved tables in the bar area, I realised I had left my cardigan on the chair… I immediately went back but it was already stolen. The hotel had a lot of new Spanish people / Romanies arrive that day.. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel, it is definitely a place that prefers Spanish guests to British. Put me off Spain for Good! We had a couple of fabulous meals out at Raku and San Rocco … I’ll do separate reviews for those."

Hotel Roquetas El Palmeral by Pierre & Vacances ★★★
"The hotel opened its doors early in the year to accommodate pensioners through IMSERSO and Turismo Social. Spacious room with 2 huge comfortable beds, and the bathroom was fitted with a walk-in shower. The room was serviced promptly each day by the friendly and efficient cleaners. Food was plentiful and nutritious, though a bit repetitive, and only cold plates were available. The vino rosado in the restaurant tasted slightly oxidised but the blanco and tinto were good. Full marks to the friendly bar staff and praise goes to Willy, the entertainment guy! He is non-stop and turns his hand to all aspects of work in the bar area, as well as putting on various forms of entertainment for the guests! (The pacharan went down well!) Bar prices were reasonable. Overall, we had a very pleasant 7-night stay."

"Lovely hotel. Very clean and spacious rooms. Cleaners were lovely and very friendly. Always said hello and good morning. Good amount of drink choice and food choice is quite good too. Pools were nice and clean. Arcade and gym in hotel was cool to see. Most staff friendly. Receptionist speedy and polite. Sorted our room card out fast when it stopped working. Entertainment isn’t very inclusive. Spanish guests weren’t very friendly to the British guests. I had also heard others say so. Area nice and a good variety of shops and restaurants/bars. Will definitely be coming back next year. Really good experience overall. Beds are really comfy. I had the best night sleeps here. Breakfast is definitely my favourite of the three meal times. So much variety. Lunch didn’t have as much and dinner was very meat/fish based. Not very inclusive to anyone who is vegetarian/vegan or allergies. Two pool areas. Both quite nice and had calm atmosphere. Nice view. Air conditioning and free WiFi."
