Cheap but you’d expect clean bed sheets at the least , everything mouldy and everything filthy ! Spent as minimal time as possible in there my brother actually slept ontop of the bed fully clothed because it was so dirty . Everything is bodged and thrown together . Seems like a half way house for women and children who haven’t been homed yet as a lot of kids in tiny rooms clearly staying there long term . Which was sad to see the condition there having to live in . All in all it was rank and I am baffled how anyone has given it a good review .

This place is not a hotel it’s a hostel and barely that more a half way house for druggies and homeless people! The room we had was disgusting and run down! We paid £50 for our so- called room that had a shared rank disgraceful bathroom and grimy communal kitchen! A complete and utter ripp off!!! Our room had dead insects and heavy stains on the wall! The ceiling was covered in thick cobwebs and dust with insects clearly visible!! The floor had debris, stains and more dust! Our room was by the front door so whenever someone came in we were disturbed! The room was cold and stank of cigarette smoke wasn’t cosy and inviting at all! The furniture Was dirty inside, draws barely functional overall I found the decor was creepy and out dated! The front door didn’t work properly and jammed when in use! Was a pain to use to go to the toilet and leave/enter the room! I felt Unrelaxed and dirty just being in there! The owner was an Asian man that was stingy, money hungry and irritating! On arrival we were not given the best welcome he seemed more annoyed about the fact he had to deal with our check in and gave the vibe we were bothering him! He tried to make out we were late and we arrived right before 10:30pm. Before the check in window closed. We asked him for a few bottles of water as the host had a huge crate in clear view - he gave them but conveniently shortly after promoted that they were 50p each! We were then rudely disturbed the next morning promptly at 10:30am and asked to check out! Half asleep we had to pack our bags and leave because we couldn’t pay the additional charge in cash although we offered by card the host insisted cash only…. frankly I would appreciated the courtesy of atleast 12pm as we checked in late the night before! The host gave us the option to stay longer but only for a additional £10 cash only charge to stay until 1:30pm! That we didn’t have so we almost felt as if we were being thrown out! Rather than asked to check out! Because of all this I WOULD NOT recommend this place to stay its run down and is totally faked in the photos! We felt scammed when we saw our room and how we were treated! AVOID and book a travel lodge instead your guaranteed a cleaner, safer and more luxury stay and travel lodge is budget so for me to compare this to a budget hotel meaning this place is hellhole!!! Unless you want to be scammed and shafted for cash book elsewhere! NOT a hotel - and calling this place a hostel is an over exaggeration!

Rooms weren't clean and had an awful smell. When we requested for bedsheets and for the heating to be put on, because the rooms were unbearably cold, the man that worked there refused very rudely. The cleaning lady was quite nice about it. The man that assisted us was very rude and not accommodating at all, didn't seem to care or know about anything. Wouldn't go back and wouldn't recommend.

This place was a joke walked in and they said this was ur room not even a toilet in the room this is not up to living standards mould every were windows that don’t lock bedding smell of damp and they say this is up to a standard that is liveable no unacceptable this is more like a dared house for students and my prison room was a better standard than this

Absolutely disgusting, nothing like the pictures or description, none of the items that were stated in the description were actually in the room, the only item that was in the room was a fridge between the double bed and single bed, no kettle, microwave or hairdryer. We were attending a family funeral, meaning we were stressed to start with but walking into this room was the straw that broke the camel's back, this was the last thing we needed or wanted. The ensuite didn't work properly, the tap in the sink had to be held when using as it was so loose, the shower door wouldn't close properly therefore the floor was soaking, lots of children running around, beds were extremely uncomfortable, felt every spring in the mattress, *********** should be ashamed advertising this place, it should be shut down and is in need of a complete refurbishment/industrial clean at the very least.

The Vicarage Lodge in Birmingham is where I most recently stayed, and it was ideal for me. The hotel's location was excellent, and the room was cozy and well-kept. I enjoyed my stay and would suggest it because of the staff's friendliness and warmth.

It was a shared bathroom - no ensuite. We were told we would be placed next to the bathroom - we weren't! We are elderly and have to visit the toilet regularly at night. I alone went 4 times in the night. No in room tea facilities - had to use a communal area. We were told there was email but unable to get the website up at all. The bed was most uncomfortable - we both slept very badly - awake for most of the night. Also on getting in, I discovered the sheets were very creased and looked grey. It looked like they had been slept in already!
