My recommendation would be to avoid this Premier Inn at all costs. We had a very poor experience there and definitely will not be returning to this awful place again. For the two days we stayed , there was no hot water, the chef didn't turn up one morning, so no cooked breakfast and no member of staff doing anything to fix the problems. I have been to this Premier Inn for a number of years and have witnessed its decline to the shambles it is today.

Asked for a accessible room as you cannot book one. Got a normal room. Bath side too high, wife could not get in as the shower was over the bath. No assistance for the toilet, ie no bars to assist you off and on, also too low so difficult to rise. Bed not comfortable, cat napped all night. Poached eggs at breakfast were hard. No runny yolks. Not a good chef if you cannot get eggs right! Supposed to stay two nights, but checked out early.

Gutted as I never have a problem with premier inn but this stay was terrible. We stayed in this hotel as we were attending a wedding in Harrogate so we are gutted as we had a terrible night sleep as beds were uncomfortable, people were noisy in other rooms, the room was boiling hot!! And the fan in the room was full of dust and I had my 9 month old with me so I wasn’t happy I had to scrub a fan and the room was dirty! I reached out to premier inn and they didn’t do anything about it so I’m not happy at all.

Room 207, June 2025. Lack of cleanliness seen immediately on arrival & reported to reception, who made a note on the computer. Someone appeared the following day but said he was only there to clean the shower head to prevent Legionnaires', we pointed out the rest of the dirt but said he was not tasked to clean that. Cleaning staff in the corridor also said they were not tasked to clean the room. I decided to take photos and report to reception again. Nothing had been done about the state of the room before we left. Email was sent to two available addresses at Whitbread - no response has been received.

Positives: reasonable price Close to Hornbeam Station Hot powerful shower Cons: tea stained sheets No tea or milk in the lobby I don't expect a lot from Premier Inn but the minimum is a clean room. As soon as I saw the sheets were dirty I went down to reception and asked them to be changed. I was handed some sheets and was told someone would come and change them. Two hours later as I left for dinner I went to the reception again and asked them to be changed. I was told they were short staffed but someone would be up. After another 2 hours I returned to find the bottom sheet had been changed but not the duvet cover which still remained stained. There was nothing wrong with my mattress bed cover. I was perplexed and just too tired to go down again and argue. I don't think I am difficult customer but even an apology would have lifted my mood. As it was I've been made to feel as if i was asking the world for a clean bed. Is this the current standard that guests are expected to stay in dirty beds?? Not what you expect from Premier Inn.

We don’t normally take the time to leave reviews when we stay…but this time around we really wanted to share our experience. We were staying from 18th July till the 20th. Firstly we would like to say a massive thank you to Anhar (duty manager) and David for all of their help and truly show our appreciation! These guys went above and beyond to help our family out after a massive mix up with our booking ( a mistake on our part) they saved the day and helped calm our nerves, they honestly couldn’t have been more helpful and continued to check in on us even after we got settled into our room! Anytime they would see us out and about the hotel they would take the time to stop and check in on us and make sure everything was okay and we had everything we needed, so for that we would like to thank them for making our stay as comfortable as possible! Secondly to the staff in the restaurant for working hard to accommodate us, you all have made us very grateful for all of your hard work and dedication to the guests and just wanted to say you all haven’t gone unnoticed! We would definitely recommend this hotel and we are looking forward to our next visit in the near future.

we arrived and had a 10 minute wait at an empty reception to check in. the room was dirty for example a desk fan provided left a brown ring of dust on the shelf where this obviously had not been cleaned for months. blew dust all around the room as it was caked in filth. The desk draw was full of crumbs and the chair was tired and stained. There were pillows in a bag just stuffed under the bed and the plug in the sink got stuck so we couldn’t drain it. bar had bare minimum on offer due to contractors working in the restaurant. when coming down in the lift we saw a sign that said there would be no water from 10am to 3pm.

This hotel looked lovely on arrival and reception quick and helpful. Shame our Premier plus room was furthest away from reception! We noted that there was no ramp at the front disables access being at the rear. This should be made clear and suitable parking here too. Room was comfortable and quiet but the shower room fan was permanently on and noisy - had to be turned off at night in spite of note saying to leave on. Restaurant are was really tired looking with some very tatty tables and fittings. Breakfast was fine (we had the so-called continental which was adequate) and staff were helpful. There was building work going on whilst we were there (no disturbance) so I guess this will be tidied up in the long run. In all slightly disappointed as we have had better at cheaper rates.

Very poor experience. We have stayed at many Premier Inns and this was by far the worst we've stayed in. Very outdated and grubby. Our room (120) had a toilet with a leak and there was a puddle of water around it on the floor. When we complained the person on duty said they had no spare rooms, no manager available and no maintenance person. So we had to place towels around the loo to stop the flow. The next morning I spoke to the duty manager who was able to give us a new room as someone had checked out. It was obvious that staff knew the leak was an ongoing problem as no one asked to come and see it. The manager seemed to be of the opinion that a higher level of management keep allowing the room to be booked despite the leak. The restaurant was not very clean, had sticky floors and tables. Seemed to be understaffed. Only disgustingly weak filter coffee was available for breakfast and food had to be ordered rather than the usual buffet. Orders were often jumbled. There was no wholemeal bread available on Sunday morning at 8.45am. Rooms have no AC but there were fans. This hotel seriously needs to be closed and refurbished.
