When we arrived, we were told to use the door at the right only. Upon entering we found a small reception, the receptionist advised us of where our rooms were located etc and asked us to pop back down to make our meal choices once he had quietened down as he had a big queue, he also told us we were to stay to the right of the building as we were not allowed on the other side of the hotel. We later however found the hotel advertising the larger bar ( we were not allowed in) open to non-residents for a £5 fee yet we were not allowed in. We went to look for the lift which was tiny (a one-person lift). Because the bus had just arrived the lift was very busy which resulted in me lugging my heavy case up three flights of very steep old and uneven stairs. Upon entering the room (room 316) we found the tiniest bathroom ever the sink is not a full sink there is nowhere to put your toothbrush etc apart from on the sink edge, which was a little too close to the taps when you consider that when you wash your hands, that and all the germs off them splash your toothbrush. The shower is tiny it’s an overhead shower which spurts to the side so if your trying not to get your hair wet it’s quite tricky to do, apart from that there is very little room to even raise your arms to wash yourself. It’s impossible to dry yourself in the actual bathroom because you can’t physically fit in it when moving your arms to dry yourself. So we had to step out into the bedroom. The bedroom is the smallest room we have ever stayed in It would be snug as a single room. Unfortunately, the price was not so snug at £698! We had no wardrobe, two bedside cabinets and a very small console table that had the small kettle on it (we struggled to fill in the small kettle in the small sink). The bedroom had a chair which we took out as there simply wasn’t any room for it. There was literally nowhere for all our clothes, toiletries, shoes etc. There were 3 hooks and 5 coat hangers! No wardrobe. Typical Blackpool weather meant it rained but our problem was we had nowhere to store our wet coats. With only 3 coat hangers and our good clothes on them the wet coats would have made our good clothes wet so we had to put one coat on the windowsill on our suitcase and the other over the radiator on the landing. The suitcase had to be stored on the deep windowsill (blocking the only good thing about the room - the view) as there was no where else for it to go. Unpacking in this room as a challenge we had nowhere for our luggage. We were told at Reception that the hotel was full and there were no other rooms available we all had appalling rooms (all 5 rooms) although ours was the smallest of them, so we assumed the hotel was basically all the same and we had little choice but to put up with it. Later that day, I was told that a couple from our group was given an upgrade after complaining to a beautiful suite very modern with a large bath a double walk-in shower a king size bed and 2 single beds (like t

Amazing hotel, We stayed in the new Junior suite Seaview which was immaculately clean and fresh. Fantastic views of the sea in every room of our suite. Our nephew loved the bean bag in his room and that he could watch you tube at night. The standalone bath was bliss and to be able to relax and see the sea was amazing, The hotel staff go above and beyond for you and were very good with our nephew making us all feel very welcome. Entertainment was spot on and we loved the bingo!! Big shout out to Michael, Keith the waiter and Moki.

Great location. Staff cannot do enough for you. Rooms are modern and clean. Breakfast is good. The entertainment team work hard and evening acts are good. Downsides: steps to front, however people with walkers were able to negotiate. Overall I would recommend and we will return again. Keith the waiter was great

We have just returned from our last stay of 2024 at the south-side of The Craig Y Don, on a Midweek Christmas Themed Cruise and we had a Pre-Christmas break to remember. They took care of us from the moment, we stepped through those doors. Which always makes our time away stress-free. When we arrived we were welcomed from Neil & David with keys, to two more refurbished rooms 200 & 212, that were bright, modern, spacious and decorated to a high standard with daily fresh towels from the hard-working housekeeping. Overall too, all meals were good, with a different range of themes from Italian, French, German & Scottish, which give us a chance, to try something different each night. But, of course that wasn't the main highlight of our experience of the cruise themed week, all the staff made continuous efforts to make sure everything was running smoothly! Ps - Special Mention to Keith, Jackson & Paula, for looking after us in the restaurant and making sure, we never left hungry, plus the rest of the staff, Micheal, Nick & Moky to name a few. We look forward, to returning again in 2025, to see more improvements to the hotel!
