To start off, we arrived at the hotel at 4.15PM to be told that one of our rooms were ready and one was not. Check in is from 3pm. The owner told us to give him 5 minutes as he was just finishing cleaning. We had booked two rooms, a double room and a family room. The double room was ready on arrival but on inspection there was a dirty towel in the bathroom, toilet and shower was stained, coffee and tea in room but no cups, mugs or spoons. Dirty bedding covered in stains and hair. Wallpaper was peeling off the walls and skirting boards were caked in dust. At 5.45 our family room was ready - 2 hours 45 minutes after check in time. We were all tired after our long drive and just wanted a lie down. We went in, there was no towels in the bedroom, again wallpaper peeling on the roof and walls and skirtings boards disgusting. Mirrors and windows were smeared with marks. No toilet roll in room had asked owner for more but never got it. Had to buy our own. Our room key was also not given to us as door was already open and owner was certain he had given us it. The family room is the same room that we have stayed in previously 2 years ago and reported a leaking shower which is still leaking now. All in all cleanliness of the hotel has dropped dramatically since our last visit and we will not be returning under any circumstances. This has now caused us to leave the hotel early and go home as our holiday experience has been ruined.
