Second time staying here. Check in was easy and qiuck. Our room was nice , cleaner (Sophie) had made a lovley job in our room. Sheets were crisp clean, plenty pillows, and a comfy bed. Tea/coffee in room. Shower worked well! Breakfast was a buffet style which I personally think is better. Plenty tea/coffe made fresh. Staff always friendly and attentive especially the girl on reception with long hair. The location is central to all the attractions.

Utterly horrific. No power sockets worked, no bathroom lights worked and the main room light cut out on the morning we were checking out. My friend had to go to reception to charge his phone and the staff seemed surprised we had no power but never acted on the issue. On arrival, not a single room key worked (a whole bus load of us had to get them re-activated). Used the shower while having to light up the bathroom with my phone torch (I would have been quicker and had a better wash if I went on the log flume at pleasure beach) was a waste of time due to the pressure. One socket starting to come off the wall, damp and peeling wallpaper and also out of date long life milk! Mattresses covered in marks. I’d guess the cleaner must have cleaned our room in the dark (which is highly likely!). To top it off, the lift was out of order and the tight stairs had towels and other rubbish on them. Don’t expect to sleep late either as the terrible blinds let every last inch of light in.

Nice location, close by WINTER GARDENS. We were there for the UDO WC Streetdance. Noisy birds outside early morning. Fairly small rooms but ok - as we did not spend time there during the day. Elevator very nice.

Very run down hotel needing alot of tlc. Bedrooms are dull, basic cleaning done but carpets stained , dirty marks and holes on the walls, door handles missing, blinds a mess. All in all, not good first impressions. Can't fault the staff , excellent staff. The food was fine and alot better sitting downstairs than in your room. Sadly we wouldn't return but with the right work and a good deep clean, this hotel could be lovely, it's based in a good location.

* WORST HOTEL EVER* * DO NOT STAY* Came down as pack of a package deal through Hays Travel ... On arrival me and my group were up and down 8 times to get a key for the door that would work which to be honest I wish never did .... When we finally stayed in the room after going out in Blackpool for dinner discovered that the bed was covered in urine stains , the ceiling and walls were covered in damp and mould there was a smell of mould throughout the basement floor .... Slept on the duvet with only a towel to wrap up in for warmth which was hard considering the radiator didn't work and the room was freezing .. woke up in the morning before breakfast to shower and shower didn't work , kettle was rotten with dirt and TV never worked ... Went for breakfast and it was 40min wait ..so we didn't bother with breakfast and just went Gregg's Would not stay in here again if I was paid

Booked to stay for 2 nights , room was very poor , well where shall I start , decorating was very shabby , holes in wallpaper paint flaking off ceiling, bedside lights/ sockets not working , furniture very dated and battered, blinds didn't fit window , bed very uncomfortable, bathroom in need of a full refurbishment, holes in shower panels, no hot running water &flooring looked like roofing felt , very noisy in room as walls were paper thin , 3* Hah , only worthy of a 1* sorry , would definitely avoid

Stayed here for 4 four nights for a short break from 11-15 July.. Stayed in room 16. Positives were that the location was excellent, very central and just behind the tower. Every staff member we came into contact with was very helpful and nice, however some were young and seemed to be inexperienced. Unfortunately, there were negatives as follows: Our room was small, with the double bed squeezed up against the wall. The bathroom was ok on first look however the shower cubicle was very small, with a tiny shelf for toiletries and the shower bar mixer had been fitted upside down and we had great difficulty adjusting the temperature and flow. The sink taps were kitchen taps, which was very strange and because of this the spout was too high and soaked you when you put them on. There were not enough sockets and the ones there were difficult to access Room was very warm, however there was a fan, but this was really noisy when on so couldn’t be kept on throughout the night. As a woman, always like a full length mirror, and there was one, however was on the inside of the wardrobe door, which faced the wall and was therefore hard to access- putting it on the other door or the outside of the wardrobe would have made much more sense! There was a mirror above a small unit which served as a dressing table, however there was no access to sockets and the mirror was too high for me to see in. Maybe when designing rooms, a woman should test them and this isn’t the only time I have said this! Housekeeping-the first day we were there, housekeeping made up our room. I have never seen anything like it. The duvet was thrown over the bed as were the pillows, which were hanging out the pillow covers. However the next few days were better apart from receiving one replacement bath and hand towel even though there two of us and we had to ask for them twice. Breakfast was decent but sometimes the organisation was chaotic. The person seating you should then take your order. According to the website there should have been nightly entertainment, which we were looking forward to, however the bar was closed and there was no entertainment. We were offered to go to the sister hotels however this was not something we wanted to go to. Given I he location, this could be a great wee hotel, but needs some input and surely a bar and entertainment would bring in revenue as it was busy when we were there and people wanted to drink/be entertained in their hotel.

Good clean room twin beds and a great location. Parking on the street behind the hotel not cheap But handy for the hotel. The shower was temperamental and went hot a couple of times. Check in was good polite staff would definitely stay again for one or two nights.
