South Beach Kings Promenade Hotel

Where to start......😅 First off we arrived and it said it had on sight parking, which it never. So I rang and asked if they could advise me of the closest parking area, which the young sounding man on the phone kept laughing and saying no. In the end I ended the call and found somewhere to park which cost an extra £25. Location is great, rooms are basic, bathroom was clean, Beds comfy, towels provided. Loads of draft coming from the window, may be better with curtains up or something. Was abit cold over night. However skip to midnight, the people above us where fighting. It went on for approx 30 mins before I rang reception to notify them as at this point my children where crying and distressed and I felt concerned for the safety of whomever was fighting (we could basically hear everything). So when I called, it was the young sounding man still, I explained we were staying in Room ... and tge people above was fighting and to my surprise ge started laughing again and asked why I was getting involved!!!.... I couldn't believe it how rude! It continued for another 45 mins or so after that. Receptionist woman who greets you on arrival was very polite and kind. The ones behind the scenes really let this place down.

Lovely little hotel! Exceptionally clean and modern room & ensuite! Lovely hosts! 24 hr reception! Let us keep our luggage in the hotel before & after checkin so we could make the most of our trip! Little bar at the front of the hotel, good prices! Excellent location too!

My friend and I arrived at the hotel and shortly after speaking with receptionist Sam he was already swearing in discussion with us. We needed to get cash out so i went to a cash machine and left my friend with Sam. When I arrived back she told me that Sam was being a little too friendly asking her if she was single several times and passing judgement of her love life. Sam also made it very clear to us that he too was single. Bearing in mind we are two young woman this made us feel uncomfortable. We went up to our rooms and found that the bathroom stank of sewage and the shower was dirty. Otherwise the room itself was tidy. On leaving sarah was very friendly and helpful and reassured us on getting our card payment deposit back. Good people skills, nice chat would have gone to her comfortably had we met her previously in our stay. Night receptionist was was very cheery, helpful and polite … wish we had him on arrival. Overall decent night at the hotel just wished sam was a little more professional.

The wee hotel was fantastic, a great warm welcome at reception by a lovely lady who was there to help through our whole stay. The two rooms we had, had great views, beds comfy, rooms clean and generally all great. It is located near McDonald’s, so great for the kids, only a few mins walk from south pier, straight across from a tram stop and less than 10 mins walk down to pleasure beach. We never used the Tiki bar located on site, though looked fun, and loads of space inside and out. The staff were great and gave us a better deal than we could get with any of the online sites. Very hospitable and helped on checkout and with our way around the area. I see a few reviews noting about the deposit, this was all explained on check in and quickly returned on check out. Simples don’t break or ruin things and you don’t have to pay for them? Lovely wee stay in triple rooms with the kiddies. Thank you again.

I would say the reviews were off putting but we gave it a chance and what a mistake we made. The location is ok but everything else is a disaster. Room was dirty and the place had a bad smell. The staff were rude and unfriendly. We are still awaiting a refund for the bond. Wouldn’t return and wouldn’t recommend.

Hotel was lovely and clean staff very friendly especially lady at front desk very helpful had a fab stay would highly recommend the hotel great locatiom and room was lovely great view would defo come back my little boy lover it five mins walk to pier and pleasure beach
