We stayed here at the start of our holiday (3 weeks) we were welcomed by friendly staff who were very attentive during our stay. The grounds are superb and literally on the doorstep to Sinharaja reserve. The food was lovely ( my husband enjoys spicy food) and I prefer flavoured but not hot. We were both catered for and it was truly tasty. Tikiri and the team helped us with arranging a walking safari to the waterfalls and along with lizards birds spiders and scorpions, we also saw 5 different species of snakes . Around the grounds are lovely ponds filled with fish and lillies along with some water snakes if you look closely. After a hike the swimming pool makes a lovely time to swim ,relax and cool off Definitely recommend ❤️

I went to Sinharaja Wasi Vanantha to have fun with my family. I would like to highly recommend this hotel. The staff treated us like family members and especially Mr. Sarath. When the brakes of my car broke down, they brought the necessary equipment and technicians and did the difficult work for me despite the heavy autumn rain. The food is very tasty and clean just like home food. They prepared us aushadiya kolakeda. The rooms are very clean. The bathroom is very nice. I stayed for three days. Such a beautiful environment. If you go to Sinharaja, I only recommend here.I chose here because I went everywhere and checked. The swimming pool is very beautiful. Thank you all so much for treating us with love. I will definitely come back

We went for the guided walk only which was very well organized. They arranged transport from the coast for us. A long journey but worth it. We took a packed lunch which they cooked -delicious. Our guide Sagara Nadun was excellent. He is so knowledgeable about the forest and its diversity. We saw monkeys, giant squirrels (they are big!), snakes, lizards, several birds, fish. Swimming int he waterfall was refreshing.

The bedroom was clean, location is beautiful, and the staff were very helpful. We booked a waterfall tour which was spectacular too, our guide was so knowledgeable and helped us take close up photos of the wildlife. The food was also very tasty

Our stay at Forest Edge was an absolute nightmare. Upon arrival, we were left waiting for over 30 minutes at filthy tables littered with dirty plates and glasses. When someone finally came to take us to our room, they tried upselling us to a more expensive option, which we declined. Eventually, we were shown to our room, and it was a complete disaster. The room was nothing like what we had booked. Our booking promised a pool view, fireplace, kitchenette, washing machine, private entrance, and more. Instead, we were given a cramped space with a bed barely six inches off the floor. The room was dirty, crawling with ants, and the bathroom reeked due to a window that opened directly onto the bins. To make matters worse, the poorly fitted door let in noise and insects. When we raised these issues with the manager, he became confrontational, waving his hands and raising his voice, insisting that this was the only room available. He even told us to cancel our booking if we weren’t happy. It was already dark, pouring with rain, and we’d driven three hours to get there, so we had no choice but to stay. Despite the awful conditions, they refused to offer any compensation or solutions, and we were forced to pay full price for this terrible experience. This is the worst experience of accommodation I have ever had. Thankfully, we found a much better alternative just 1 km away for the next night: Rainforest Nest. It’s peaceful, clean, and run by the kindest hosts. Save yourself the trouble and stay there instead!

Worst experience ever! When we got there, they made us wait at dirty tables full of empty glasses and plates for 30 minutes because the room wasn't ready. Then they asked us of we wanted an upgrade. We said we were happy with the room we booked. They came back later saying our room was ready. That room had nothing to do with the one we booked: it was dirty, full of ants, the bathroom stank because the window opened on the outside bins, a lizard fell from the curtain when I tried to close it, and as the door was shaky, it wasn't soundproof at all, and also let in any kind of insects. When we told the manager it wasn't what we had book, he raised his voice, making big gestures and said it was that room, or we should cancel the booking. It was 6pm, we had traveled 3 hours to get there, and it was heavily raining. He made no commercial gesture whatsoever, and was closed to any kind of discussion. With no other choice we stayed that night and ended up paying the full price for a mediocre room. Breakfast consisted of hard dosa, dry rice, a few pieces of fruits, and jam. We had booked two nights but left as soon as possible the first morning. Luckily, we found a little paradise nearbye: the Rainforest Nest, which is very peaceful and the hosts are so carying; we highly recommend it 💚

So I paid around 50 more a night for all inclusive package, which is a joke. You don't get drinks (beer) in the package. But they didnt ell me that when i arrived or the first night. You can't order from the menu. You get the buffet which is simple and ok. You get a way better deal if you order your room sperate with breakfast. You get lunch with a tour and pay for your dinner and drinks seperate. I asked 3 times on arrival how the all inklusive worked and always got a smile and a yes all inklusive . Unfortunately they didn't understand me I guess. On the second day the Manager informed us that we have to pay for our beer. So I get to pay more than everyone else and pay for my beer in all inklusive. The manager told me that it's my fault when I book the choice but its to late to go back The rooms are fine and the location is great . But I feel taken advantage of
